sleekysilk: Nwannem, I was in this situation some few weeks back as well. What I did was that I gathered all my documents including getting my POF and made sure everything was ready before ITA except for police report, medical and printing [/b]of bank statement (all these were done in 2 dyas) because I knew if i got ITA, I would have barely 1 week left before my birthdy. Though my e-family encouraged me to calm down that CRS scores are locked once ITA has been issued but I refused to take the risk because of all this CIC plenty grammar of 'It may also result in the applicant no longer meeting the minimum requirements of the FSWC and, consequently, no longer meeting the MEC, resulting in a refusal based on section A11.2'. I wasn't confortable with all the 'MAY MAY MAY'.
So I advice you do the same if possible. May God help us all. ITA- Sept. 20th AOR- Sept. 25th Birthday Sept. 27th Medical passed/UCI issued- Oct. 6th NA2- Oct 13th See my birthday mate o... My own AOR nah Oct 9... Praying for God's speed. |

Travel › Unions Clash With Arik Air Staff Over Airline’s Management by Pamperme(op): 4:20pm On Mar 23, 2017 |
Arik Air workers protest against protesters who are protesting for Arik Air workersMembers of airline staff said they didn’t need unionist “saviours”…for now. Is it by force? Is it your salary? Wetin konsain you? Who told you we are suffering? These are the questions Arik Air workers are asking aviation unionists who are protesting to “liberate” the airline workers from “uncaring” management. Protesters, on Thursday, stormed Arik Air office at Lagos Airport disrupting activities and demanding the airline pay workers who are being owed December salaries. The Arik Air workers then “fought back”, not against the airline management, but against their unionist saviours whom an Arik official called “some members of the public”. Yeah, like…seriously… “Some members of the public under the guise of aviation unions have again come to disrupt activities at the headquarters of Arik Air,” the airline’s social media coordinator Kayode Badmus told Newsroom. “Please note that no staff of Arik Air is in support of this unnecessary action. “Members of staff are currently staging a counter protest to inform the so-called unionists to leave us alone. “Leave Arik Air alone,” he said. What’s happening, really? An Arik worker told our correspondent the aviation unionists are “a bunch of old men who have been doing this for years”. “They claim they are fighting for Arik staff welfare. This they are doing by shutting down the airline’s operations. Now we have come out to say we didn’t mandate any union to agitate for us. “There is a new management at Arik Air and all staff are being patient and cooperative with them to ensure that the airline becomes the pride of Nigeria once again. “The old management was owing December salary. When the Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON) took over on February 8, they paid us January and February salaries with a promise to pay December after their ongoing audit. “So, technically, we are only being owed December salary which is the ousted management’s fault. Did you see that? No protests…for now! We’ll call you when we see real suffering. “The union members are only trying to be relevant. They want AMCON to include them on their payroll for doing nothing. “They are not our staff now. They are career unionists who get paid by staging protests like this,” the Arik Air worker said. We were unable to reach the aviation union protesters. https://newsroom.ng/arik-air-workers-protest-against-protesters-who-are-protesting-for-arik-air-workers/

Chanbaby: My sisters the thing tire me oh. I have been using her before to book my flights to the Uk now this US own now has K-leg. I relied on her cos she has gone on missionary journey b4 so she understands the whole thing. Now she is suggesting Air Marco and Arik for 509k. Some Human beings are not straight forward. Just checked through your old post for your dates, even on arik for that date is N322k. Just collect your money back and buy on any airline website by yourself. I used Arik during my time last year and paid N15k to add my baby's ticket... Usually it's 10% of your own original fare... Please be wise and get your hard earned money back and DIY.. my two cents |

XX01: Was this in Lagos or Abuja? Do they work 24hrs? If you go there early in the morning and your time for boarding is late in the night, will they still insist? In Lagos. Yes because she went there around 9am with her boarding pass even though the flight was in the evening... they insisted that she would be given the dollars at the gate... |

SlowlybtSurely: They refused to give her at all or they refused to give her at their office but insisted it must be boarding gate?
What problem did they have with the letter? i mean she got the dollars but wasn't given in their office. The dollar was given to her at the boarding gate, she said it's their new rule. |
