So today I was thinking... If u go through the ttc thread and ivf especially ivf thread Hmmm.... You'll melt...

So I felt if u can freely and willingly donate eggs especially if u know one who's in need pls do.
I wanted to discuss surrogacy but that'll take personal conviction.
These people are spending alot... OMG a whole lot. So pls I indulge us to visit and pray and do what you can as d spirit leads (like donate eggs, surrogacy) . During ur devotion pray for them or even if it's only one person.. Pick a name and pray.

God bless us all.
I have thought about this issue of surrogacy over and over again. A friend needed similar help but my partner is so old fashioned, he doesn't think it's a good idea. Our society ehn! he was asking questions o, plenty questions, will i be the one to impregnate you and you will give out the child? so you will carry a child who was fertilised by another couple? Will you be in this house for the nine months? How about your job? What will you tell people when they ask for the baby after nine months? The questions were too much so i aborted the idea.
Unfortunately, some of us want to help but we have non-supportive partners/society...

i read through the TTC thread once in a while and say a prayer for them everytime...

On the fit to fly issue.

I collected mine at their main office (the one beside the toll gate) a day before my trip. The woman actually suggested that she will put the flight date because she does not want them to stress me... She even put the pregnancy at 32 weeks even though i was like 36..

I have taken the fit to fly twice and what i noticed is that the women at the port health are majorly yoruba, who delight in you being respectful and nice to them...

talk to them nicely and they will help...

Thanks Pamperme. Yes I plan to stay at intown suite. Did you book your connecting flight from Lagos or you booked it when you arrived NY?
Yes, i paid for the ticket online with my gtb card a day to my trip to New York. think about USD500 for return ticket... Southwest hardly change their fares though, my sister paid the same amount when she travelled around December.

Depart NEW YORK (LAGUARDIA), NY (LGA) on Southwest Airlines at 06:55 AM
Arrive in DALLAS (LOVE FIELD), TX (DAL) at 10:05 AM
Wanna Get Away

4640
Change planes to Southwest Airlines in DALLAS (LOVE FIELD), TX (DAL) at 11:00 AM
Arrive in EL PASO, TX (ELP) at 11:45 AM
Travel Time 6 hrs 50 mins

My flight route above, Note that by the time you walk from the arrival gate to the departure gate at Dallas, you would have spent half of the waiting time. i just sat close to the departure gate, ate enough donut and coca-cola to while away the time, it wasn't stressful for me though coz i already had almost a full day rest before embarking on the second trip! i did the same thing coming back with the baby... Arrived New York a day to my JFK-LOS trip.

Thanks for the great job guyz. Please is anyone travelling to El paso in June? What route do you intend to take? I really want to avoid Houston POE. I am thinking of JFK but I feel it’s going to be VERY VERY stressful. Advise pls.
Perhaps if you have someone in New York, you can just rest for the night and take a flight to Houston the next. i stayed with a friend's husband overnight and took flight from Laguardia to El Paso with Southwest the next day. That way, the stress was reduced and i didnt have to go through Houston. But if you dont have anyone in New York and you can afford an overnight stay at the hotel, just look for one close to Laguardia airport.
Will you be staying at Intown?

I have noticed that local flights don't take off from JFK in New York. Flights can either be gotten from Laguadia or Newark. If that's the case, how do I shuttle arriving in JFK and catching a flight to Houston?

I am also trying to use wakanow to book one way from Lagos to JFK and one way return from Houston to Lagos. Do you envisage any challenges with at the Point of Entry when I present tickets from 2 different airlines and 2 different locations?
I think there is a shuttle bus from JFK to LaGuardia for $3 but the last time I took it was 2014. Don't know if it's still on...

I see a new trend. A lotta new posters introduce thmselves. Tell us they have been reading...Then ask for affordaable hospitals. Some want it emailed to them sef.
Please that is not how this thread works. You the pregnant mama, the one with a vested interest are the one that does the heavy lifting. Luckily for you, it has been made easier. All you have to do is read. People have posted the hospitals they used. That was their idea of affordable. Read. Pick. Choose. You can now narrow down your options and ask the older moms their experiences.
People here are pregnant, some have jobs, some are using bow and arrow to hook pta and doing midnight for cheap flight. Is it fair for them to do your own research for u too?
15 months after my second baby... i still come back to this forum...

Some people are just lazy at reading...

1.. No need of adding chilli pepper but you can add little salt.
2. Yes you can use them but not steam them. Eat fresh and raw..
3.. You can slice the tomatoes or grate it so it is easy to push through.

Am on Day 3 but i have a couple of questions.

Am very local when it comes to food, i don't eat salad, veggies etc but have been managing.

(1) is it possible for me to add a lil pepper and salt when boiling the Liver, spinach etc?
(2) For the green salad, can i use gabbage, mixed veg with carrots and lettuce and can i steam it a little.
(3) Can i do away with the Tomatoes, i tried, it didnt go through or perhaps boiled the tomatoes?

No vex for my plenty questions.

Would appreciate your help.

Good evening adorable mothers. I took my 9mths old son for immunization and he weighed 8.8kg. Pls I want you to clear me on this weight if its ok or underweight and what i need to give him to increase his weight. Pls if you are familiar with normal baby's weight help me out.thanks.
I think the weight is normal. My baby is 9+ 2weeks and he weighs 8.8kg too. Am sure if there is a problem with the weight, the nurse would have called your attention to it. My first son decline at some stage for reasons unknown and when i went for immunisation then, the nurse noticed it and advise what to do even though she said the weight was still normal for his age then.

@ ex elpaso mums/dads,

is there a way to escape getting consent letter from father of child notorised from embassy for baby's passport since elpaso passport agency insist on it .
This is especially more tedious for those families that don't reside in Abuja or Lagos where the consulates are.
There is no way around it for El Paso o. i remember someone based in Edo State then, the husband notarised it with a Lawyer and send, it was rejected. The husband had to fly to Lagos just to notarise the consent letter and send via DHL again. They ended up spending more money.
