@golden boy

I stumbled across your thread at the right time
I need advice badly

My husband and I with our two kids wants to move to us permanently,he does not have a professional certificate but he works with Lagos State for now as a plumber..

I just got a job with Lagos State too as an education officer.. I don't know if I should leave the job and start afresh by going back to school for an iT program in the US while he looks for a job over there ,we are living quite comfortable here and I won't want a situation where we would start hustling in another man's country.
It may not be that easy as expected in your first year but if your husband can work hard and at the same time you return to school for IT program, it will all end up in praise.
As a plumber who is not lazy, your husband can be making average or $2k monthly here in Chicago without professional certificate. Your immediate success also depends on who your family will be living with in America when you arrive.

The person you quoted is right. I think he or she meant to say the cost price. Of course, no one pays that amount every year for a house grin. Anyway, houses in San Francisco even cost more than $200,000, on average. The actual range would be $350k and above.
Unless you are buying your own house cash down... Who does that!

With already a trillion evidence it is still surprising that you still have any kind of argument left in you. Who gets rich working for someone? Why are you talking about workers and not the countless Nigerians running into millions who have their own business. All you guys do in America is work, work work and work. From Walmart to Mcdonald's to Amazon till you get broke down. How many Nigerians in America own their house or car? How many can buy with cash instead of borrowing? The percentage is less that 2%. Duplexes are getting built and bought everyday with money made here in Nigeria. Cars worth millions are being bought as well. People can easily afford paying 200,000 per term for their children in places like Lagos, PH, Cross River, Benin, Abuja etc. My uncle with a small business makes an average sales of 200,000 naira daily. Nigerians in America are broke and can't even be compared to Nigerians making 10,000 naira daily. Deal with it.....Friends below is a link of an article that states 50% of Americans die broke and we are talking about first class citizens. The journey of Nigeria in America has been a failure financially!

https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/personalfinance/retirement/2017/06/02/almost-half-of-americans-die-nearly-broke/102312340/
Just when I decided to walk away from this thread then I saw your comment. Trust me It's 100% better to be in America most especially if your income is less than 500k in Nigeria.

I agree people tell lie but I will choose to live in America than any other country.

On your comment about people working in Walmart, McDonald and Amazon, let me remind you that these company will pay between 10/hr - 15/hr and minimum 40hrs work per week(do the math).

About people buying cars and home on credit, it's almost impossible to rent apartment, buy property or do something reasonable in America without good credit history.

Let me ask you a question, if like to own 2018 Toyota Camry, let say the car worth $20k and your monthly salary is $2k. That means you need to save 10months salary without touching it which is impossible but someone ask you to be paying $250 or $300 every month for five years, which one will you prefer? Same goes with house(mortgage). Single family home should start from $180k upward and it will be difficult if not impossible to raise that amount once. All you have to do is pay $900 every month which goes towards your mortgage

Above explanation is just for people who doesn't have degree in America, imagine how much you can achieve if you have education in America

Let me say this again, you can only go broke in America if you are lazy or love to live a fake life which is above your income!!!

God Bless Nigeria

It doesnt matter how hard you try to twist the topic, the simple fact remaina. Nigerians in America are broke, not just broke but dead broke.

I don't have intention of quoting you or get into argument. But i need to let you know that majority of Naija in America are doing well. I mean they are living well compare to Naija state of living.

You can only go broke in America if you are lazy! Some Naija(and other immigrant from around the world) are even doing better that American citizen.
It can only be difficult in the first few months or years in America depending on your situation. But the risk of relocating from Niaja to America worth it X million
TravelRe: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by Panama07:
I took my time to read the whole thread, let me clarify few things here;

1. You can never compare Nigeria to America in anyway

2. It's not easy to make good money in America like people think

3. Beggars are in America like we have in Nigeria

4. You can make more than a million naira in America every month without American degree

5. Many Nigerian in America are lazy! Therefore they complain a lot and give people back home fake story.

6. No need to hate people in America because you don't have chance to be there

7. No need to look down on people in Nigeria or lie to them just because you have chance to be in America

8. America is land of opportunity for hustler and people who know what they are doing. Your destiny is in your hand, you can make it big time or smoke away your life.
9. Kudos to all legit immigrant in America, you can make as far as you can imagine !!!

BARKLEY SNUB A ‘SURPRISE’

Everton’s majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri admitted Ross Barkley’s u-turn over his move to Chelsea came as a surprise.

“The two clubs agreed a deal of £35m and personal terms were agreed and after the medical we heard from Ross Barkley’s agent that he had changed his mind. He told us he wanted to reconsider and stay with us for the time being.

“It was a big surprise but that is football. It has been a very busy transfer window, we have brought in a lot of players especially in attacking areas. We have a lot of new players and it will take some time to gel. We are very happy with business. These are all Ronald Koeman’s signings.

“We have also Bolasie and Seamus Coleman fit in October, which will help the squad. We would like to finish as high as possible in the table.”

True talk but he's got to prove himself. He should be grateful if he gets about 35 mins per game.. for now at least

Can he fit into the role/position played by Moses? Yea we know he's good going forward (just like Moses), but he cannot compete with him when it comes to defensive play. He's never done that at Arsenal cause there was no need for him to do so. (Remember he has to support both the attack and defence at all times)
Has Moses ever play such role/position before arrival of Conte ? No

Can Ox be competitive enough to bench Moses ? Maybe and maybe not.

We never see Moses playing in such role before but he did well when he was given chance. I believe anyone else including Ox who has never play in such role could do more if given same chance.

Always remember that ability of a man can not be tested until if given a chance to serve

bro if I say most important, doesn't mean best in the team. The only thing Chelsea can do if Moses is not playing is to switch formations, but with 3-4-3 Moses still irreplaceable
I don't like to argue bro but I find it difficult to agree with you.

This is 2017 football!!! a lot of players out there including Ox can replace Moses with Chelsea 3-4-3 formation and perform better.

He loses the ball because he is in Arsenal. I'm quite sure it won't the same game at Chelsea.

Conte will hitch him to his best, see V. Moses. We need AOC's speed, dribbling skill and pace in CFC.

It's a good and promising buy I think.
I concur. He's kind of wing back Chelsea need

Now point out the person you'll drop from the starting XI
He can always compete with Moses... Same thing happened to William and Pedro. William always start ahead of Pedro but starting from bench when return from his "time-off" because of his mother's death.

All Ox need is one good performance when given chance.

Don't mind them... they are only supporting Moses because he is from Nigeria. Moses is a good player but only him should not play that position for the whole season, there should be a team rotation

Moses is a starter, OX was just bought as a replacement and to fill up the Homegrown requirements, unless Moses loses form, Ox won't be a starter.Yes the youth should be given chances but that position had nobody close to Moses quality, not even close
You can't be too sure bro, Moses only played a season so far in that position meaning someone else can do more!

You are right thou, but i still think he should have given more chances to their junior team, and try to build players, and let Moses do his thing.

As it is now Moses chances would be more more limited, because Conte would want to give chamber chance to also play

100% good signing if Conte wanna stick with current Cheleas formation. Remember moses can not play every game plus UCL without fatigue. A very good substitute for Moses
