opejulie10:You are welcome! I don't know about other cities though but here in Chicago, I have seen people turning their situation around for better within 6 months. |
opejulie10:It may not be that easy as expected in your first year but if your husband can work hard and at the same time you return to school for IT program, it will all end up in praise. As a plumber who is not lazy, your husband can be making average or $2k monthly here in Chicago without professional certificate. Your immediate success also depends on who your family will be living with in America when you arrive. |
PDPGuy:Unless you are buying your own house cash down... Who does that! |
Ruggedfitness:Says who ? Are you for real, San Francisco ko, Sam Dede ni |
timesup234:Just when I decided to walk away from this thread then I saw your comment. Trust me It's 100% better to be in America most especially if your income is less than 500k in Nigeria. I agree people tell lie but I will choose to live in America than any other country. On your comment about people working in Walmart, McDonald and Amazon, let me remind you that these company will pay between 10/hr - 15/hr and minimum 40hrs work per week(do the math). About people buying cars and home on credit, it's almost impossible to rent apartment, buy property or do something reasonable in America without good credit history. Let me ask you a question, if like to own 2018 Toyota Camry, let say the car worth $20k and your monthly salary is $2k. That means you need to save 10months salary without touching it which is impossible but someone ask you to be paying $250 or $300 every month for five years, which one will you prefer? Same goes with house(mortgage). Single family home should start from $180k upward and it will be difficult if not impossible to raise that amount once. All you have to do is pay $900 every month which goes towards your mortgage Above explanation is just for people who doesn't have degree in America, imagine how much you can achieve if you have education in America Let me say this again, you can only go broke in America if you are lazy or love to live a fake life which is above your income!!! God Bless Nigeria God Bless America |
timesup234:I don't have intention of quoting you or get into argument. But i need to let you know that majority of Naija in America are doing well. I mean they are living well compare to Naija state of living. You can only go broke in America if you are lazy! Some Naija(and other immigrant from around the world) are even doing better that American citizen. It can only be difficult in the first few months or years in America depending on your situation. But the risk of relocating from Niaja to America worth it X million |
I took my time to read the whole thread, let me clarify few things here; 1. You can never compare Nigeria to America in anyway 2. It's not easy to make good money in America like people think 3. Beggars are in America like we have in Nigeria 4. You can make more than a million naira in America every month without American degree 5. Many Nigerian in America are lazy! Therefore they complain a lot and give people back home fake story. 6. No need to hate people in America because you don't have chance to be there 7. No need to look down on people in Nigeria or lie to them just because you have chance to be in America 8. America is land of opportunity for hustler and people who know what they are doing. Your destiny is in your hand, you can make it big time or smoke away your life. 9. Kudos to all legit immigrant in America, you can make as far as you can imagine !!! |
Tottenham complete the signing of Fernando Llorente from Swansea. |

WINDOW CLOSED That's it... the summer transfer window is officially shut in England, although we still have an hour to go in Scotland, and a whole day to go in Spain. Still to do: Danny Drinkwater to Chelsea, Riyad Mahrez's future is still up in the air, Fernando Llorente to Spurs, Mamadou Sakho to Palace, plus more...... |
LEICESTER LOAN FOR DRAGOVIC Leicester have been pursuing Aleksandar Dragovic for over a year – and they finally have their man! Dragovic, who is not in England, underwent a medical while on international duty with Austria. The central defender signed a five-year deal with the Bundesliga club last season. |
BREAKING NEWS Chelsea are 'very close' to signing Danny Drinkwater from Leicester, Sky Sports News understands. Leicester valued the player at £40m, but a compromise has been reached and Drinkwater is close to Chelsea's training ground in order to go through a medical. We understand Chelsea may be given a couple more hours by the Premier League to complete the move and confirmation would come after the deadline. |
BARKLEY SNUB A ‘SURPRISE’ Everton’s majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri admitted Ross Barkley’s u-turn over his move to Chelsea came as a surprise. “The two clubs agreed a deal of £35m and personal terms were agreed and after the medical we heard from Ross Barkley’s agent that he had changed his mind. He told us he wanted to reconsider and stay with us for the time being. “It was a big surprise but that is football. It has been a very busy transfer window, we have brought in a lot of players especially in attacking areas. We have a lot of new players and it will take some time to gel. We are very happy with business. These are all Ronald Koeman’s signings. “We have also Bolasie and Seamus Coleman fit in October, which will help the squad. We would like to finish as high as possible in the table.” |
Few min to go......................

Man City verbally agree £60m Alexis Sanchez deal but Arsenal want replacement first |
BREAKING NEWS Danny Drinkwater is holed up at Chelsea’s training ground at Cobham in Surrey, awaiting permission from Leicester to undergo a last-minute medical, according to Sky sources. BREAKING NEWS Everton midfielder Ross Barkley has rejected a move to Chelsea after a £30m fee has been agreed between the two clubs, according to Sky sources. The midfielder travelled to London and began his medical, but Sky Sports News understands he changed his mind and is expected to return to Everton. Wow! LEMAR: WE'LL SEE Thomas Lemar has been speaking after scoring twice for France in their 4-0 win over the Netherlands. When asked about his future, he said: "We'll see"... is he talking about future windows or tonight? "We’ll see what happens," he saod. "For the moment I am a Monaco player and everything is going very well." ‘MAHREZ IN PARIS’ Mr Deadline Day himself, Jim White, has just broken this interesting line regarding Leicester forward Riyad Mahrez live on Sky Sports News... “I’m hearing Riyad Mahrez has popped up in Paris,” he said. “Whether that’s more in hope than expectation, we will see.” http://www.skysports.com/transfer-centre |
1. I have been reading this post for the past few min but still can't find any prophesy. All I see is word of encouragement and suggestion 2. I don't think there is any correlation between religion and football. 3. World Cup/Nations Cup ticket is not our birth right. We must prove that we deserve it. 4. What will happen assuming Super Eagle players go to Primate Elijah to pray and Cameroonian team also go to their prophet for special prayer ![]() |
barondmoni:Majority of people here asked this question at one point trying to figure out what lies ahead before coming to Yankee including me. I will advise you to come on F1 visa if you are thinking of graduate program because you might even get lucky to have your GA before leaving Naija otherwise you can come in with any other visa category and figure it out when you get here. |
julioralph:I agree but always remember there must be a 'consensus ad idem" before his decision to join Chelsea |
julioralph:Has Moses ever play such role/position before arrival of Conte ? No Can Ox be competitive enough to bench Moses ? Maybe and maybe not. We never see Moses playing in such role before but he did well when he was given chance. I believe anyone else including Ox who has never play in such role could do more if given same chance. Always remember that ability of a man can not be tested until if given a chance to serve |
ipledge10:I don't like to argue bro but I find it difficult to agree with you. This is 2017 football!!! a lot of players out there including Ox can replace Moses with Chelsea 3-4-3 formation and perform better. |
ruzell86:I concur. He's kind of wing back Chelsea need |
julioralph:He can always compete with Moses... Same thing happened to William and Pedro. William always start ahead of Pedro but starting from bench when return from his "time-off" because of his mother's death. All Ox need is one good performance when given chance. |
ipledge10: If Moses is the most important player, what about Hazard, Kante NOBODY IS IRREPLACEABLE!!! |
julioralph:Says who ? |
ipledge10:Don't mind them... they are only supporting Moses because he is from Nigeria. Moses is a good player but only him should not play that position for the whole season, there should be a team rotation |
abbey621:You can't be too sure bro, Moses only played a season so far in that position meaning someone else can do more! |
wunmi590:Really |
wunmi590:100% good signing if Conte wanna stick with current Cheleas formation. Remember moses can not play every game plus UCL without fatigue. A very good substitute for Moses |

. Anyway, houses in San Francisco even cost more than $200,000, on average. The actual range would be $350k and above.
Thats good then, he knows he'll have to start from the bench most times.
