War is fun only in the movies! When you are running for your life with bullets kicking dirts around you, Then, you will prefer, watching La Liga with a bottle of orijin, than dying unknown in a markless grave.

Everyday people talk about starting another war without remembering that war is hell. Thank God for the War Journalist who helps us remember. One such a Journalist is the Frenchman Gilles Caron who first saw war as a French soldier in Algeria and hated it so much that he stopped fighting and spent the last 4 months of his Military service in French chains. He then went on to fashion photography which he found boring and returned to the front this time without a gun but with a camera and has given us some of the most thought provoking photos from various conflicts including our own Biafra. My favourite ( if we can call it that ) is this one of wounded Biafran soldiers being left by their mates as the battle turns and the Federals advance., Just as you see the back of the fleeing Biafrans you can take inventory of the fright and horror of the surviving wounded soldier in his eyes pleading with the remaining troops ( Caron included ) not to be left behind to a certain death. Instances like this made Gilles Caron drink heavily and you sure can’t blame him because I would be shooting heroin just to be able to go to sleep. So as you rattle your swords and gnash your teeth crying for war…remember this side and that the young man on the ground is someone’s son, brother or even a Father. Worse still he may never get to be a Father. WAR IS HELL - Photo Biafra April 1968 © Gilles Caron for the Gilles Caron Foundation - Iwedi Ojinmah -

I hope PMB is reading all these? |
Nigerian generals are good for only 3 things: 1. Giving orders for retreat. 2. F.ocking and Partying 3. And more F.ocking! I'm sure they are not even observing rammadan! |
whizqueen:That one na Hakeem for coming to America naa! |
AwesomelyMade:Atiku and Kwankwaso. Those two, PMB must watch out for. Tinubu mobilised SW states supporters for PMB during primaries to defeat them. They have Jagaban in minds till tomorrow. |

ParrishNorwood:Sorry for the jab, I'm suprprised you can express this kind of sentiment when the reality on the ground is proving otherwise. Less than 2 months into this presidency, his good will and popularity is shrinking fast. Fast forward the next 4 years. He might even end up worse than Jonathan. It seems he has been ringed around now, and he is afraid of movement. Let's keep our mind open. This is Nigeria where conspiracy theories end up being a reality in less than a month or two. |
The vultures have surrounded him Right now, he is being pulled from all sides! In fact I pity him. Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. |
ParrishNorwood:The intricacies of calculus will always be dumb to blabbing idiiot! |
Ishiyaku GangJidda wrote: BUHARI'S ENEMIES ARE WITHIN: The scheming has started. First pick a quarrel with Tinubu and manipulate the press to give it a wacking headline, "The North Is Fighting Tinubu". They then enter into an alliance with the disgraced PDP. Of course PDP is happy to join forces with the renegades in APC to demystify Tinubu, as they hold him responsible for the defeat they suffered at the polls. In all this, the ultimate aim is to isolate PMB. Tinubu will be upset about the hostility from some of these northern politicians and as a result leave PMB to his devices while at the same time the northern traitors will be undermining Buhari's popularity in the north. By 2019, PMB will be made thoroughly unpopular by the actions of these two contending forces. The northern traitors were only waiting for Buhari to grab power before they launch their 2019 scheme to take this power from him through the back door. They always cover their devious ways and pretend they are acting to protect the interest of the north. If care is not taken Buhari is going to find himself in a precarious position. We all know he was never the darling of the northern power brokers. With the help of Tinubu he overcame this hostility and the northern power brokers had no alternative but to throw in the towel, pretending they were also for him. Who can tell me why no traditional ruler ever offered Buhari a title until he became the President? Infact his biggest antagonist was the Emir of Daura. We recall in the heat of the campaigns the Emir of Daura bestowed a title on Jonathan, all in an effort to spite Buhari. These power brokers, the Emirs and the discredited politicians will not spare any effort in isolating and demystfying Buhari, such that by 2019 he will be made so unpopular even the talakawa, his traditional constituency, will start grumbling. Of course they expected Buhari to perform magic and when that magic was not forthcoming they would be disillusioned and disorganised. It will be politically suicidal for Buhari to turn his back or to give the impression that he is turning his back on Tinubu at this time. For one, the SW press will turn their backs on him and start being hostile to his government. In the north his popularity will be undermined by the demystified northern power brokers. In summary, Buhari's enemies are within the north. He will need all the help he can get from Tinubu and some trusted and reliable politicians very close to in the north to counter these negative forces. All humans have ambition. Tinubu's ambition cannot harm Buhari because Buhari's success translates to his succes and a smooth sail for Osinbajo after Buhari's tenure. But the ambition of Tinubu's antagonists is to bring down Buhari as early as possible in preparation for 2019. It will be wise not to antagonise an ally who helped you to power, less he becomes desperate. |
Tinubu don suffer! Anyone that can not even impregnate their wives will also blame Tinubu. |
I've always known that it is suicidal to trust those PDP security guards called DSS. Buhari should sack all the compromised elements in the outfit and start rebuilding from scratch. |
Only a confirmed Stockholm syndrome patient will miss the incompetent idiiot ! I will rather have a dead yar adua performing as a president than that corrupt and pestilential psycho. |
richidinho:Una no dey tire of this una useless threats? Haba! If Jonathan no win, Nigeria will boil ! Jonathan don loose nothing happened! If Ekeremadu is found guilty , he will be prosecuted and nothing go happen! |
See them! Drama queens! Action never start, una don dey cry blue murder! Was he guilty of forgery or not? That is the question. You lot still think you are under Jonathan, when impunity rules? Una dey craze! |

Write Tinubu off at your peril! The man goofed by trusting Buhari to do the right thing, forgetting the winner take all mentality of the North. That was his miscalculation! But don't write him off yet. The Maradona of Nigerian politics. |
