Thanks for all the well-wishes guys. I pray for your respective PPR's to come out soon, so that we can all rejoice with you too. As for those waiting for ITA, PPR's coming out now is indicative that draws would be holding soon. So I need a bit of advice, although I have a vague idea of what to do. During this wait, I obviously took a strong interest in someone whom I hope to begin the marriage process by December. With this new development, and considering the marriage isn't a done deal yet: Should I write to IRCC requesting for an extension of time (I was given 30days to submit my documents) since I intend to begin the marriage process by the beginning of December, and invariably add her to my application. And with my medicals expiring by January how does this affect/impact my COPR issuance? |

barby008:Hi, She started but eventually decided to go through the study route. |
Hi Guys, So I have decided to drop this for all of us to learn. Now, I have no business with getting into the pool anymore, since I am almost done with my FS assessment, and in a month or two, my PPR should be out(hopefully). This is the motivation behind my research; my girlfriend intends to pursue the express entry program, however she has only a B.Sc., and although she has a bit of age by her side, she doesn't want to go through any master’s program. Thus, she requested me to assist her with a program that could grant her two or more certificates or degrees. When I presented the BCS certificate in IT, she was a bit dismayed because, she had little to no knowledge in IT terminologies. ACCA was a no-no, because she believed the math in accounting may put her off. That led me to do further research: Why does WES evaluate the BCS in IT certificate as an equivalent to a one year of university degree, hence favourable to people seeking additional certificate. And also, why do most people gravitate toward BCS cert in IT when there may be other alternatives out there. I digged further on alternatives, and although I wasn't certain of their evaluation, I noticed a distinct similarity amongst programs. That is, it is a rated as a level 4 qualification by OFQUAL. Now OFUAL is England’s statutory regulator for qualifications. Hence, they have determined that level 4 is comparable to the first year of a university degree, and once any organization proves that their curriculum/certifications can meet predefined requirements, they will be granted varying classifications from level 1 up to level 7(which accounts for master degree and co). Fortunately, they have a list of a register of regulated qualifications, and when I checked for BCS cert in IT, I confirmed my presuppositions. The interesting part is you can use their advanced search option to find organizations or certifications, that could suite your areas of expertise, and still give you the extra certificate evaluation you may require. However, some may not be open to international study. Luckily, there is a filter wherein you could check which, and which permits international study (https://register.ofqual.gov.uk/AdvancedSearch). Also, anything below level 4 will most certainly not be evaluated positively by WES. As a note of caution; please do further research, and make enquiries. Most people have evaluated BCS cert in IT with WES, and continuously to be favourably evaluated. There is no harm sticking with BCs, however, I thought shedding light on this info could help us reconsider some other alternatives. Now, there is no guarantee that others could be favourably evaluated as well - they could be more expensive, or a bit cheaper depending on which. But if my research is anything to go by, I believe others on this list will. Take this info with a pinch of salt. I am no expert in this subject matter. I just believe this information may be invaluable to some of us. For my girlfriend, I saw one course or certification; CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply, which I believe she could relate more to. I would encourage her to go ahead with it, and once she is done, she should evaluate with WES. I’d tell you all about it. Cheers Thanks |
MissMa01:Hi, I ordered my notes on the 13th of January, and it is from IRCC. What is CBSA? |
Just received my GCMS notes, and I think its good news, but not the main news. Criminality: passed Eligibility: passed Medical: passed Security: *blank* Primary VO: CPC Ottawa Secondary: Lagos AOR February 2020. It is well. The wait is almost over I presume. |
Upton:08138173397 is the Abuja contact number. Perhaps she could assist with other location's contact, or help with your enquiries. |
Hi Guys, I will like some interpretation to this. My AOR is 5th February, 2020. VO Ottawa, secondary VO Edmonton. I had applied for GCMS note, with the most recent being November, which shows that my criminality and security are yet to start. Logged in to my account today, and saw that the review of additional document session shows 'January 13, 2021 We are reviewing the additional documents you provided', whereas I have not received nor submitted any ADR of recent. Although a month after my AOR, I was issued a schedule A. The current status of my application shows something about application updated. What could likely be the interpretation to this? |
Hello everyone. My brother who works with Julius Berger was enrolled in a course intensive, 9 months program called BSI Diploma in Quality Management from the British standards Institute. It is a training program that their company sponsors them on, albeit it is through a distance training mode. They are given a certificate at the end of the program. No exams, and JB pays almost 800k for the training. Considering the duration of study, nomenclature of certificate, amongst others, could this be evaluated by WES or any evaluating body as an equivalent program to enable him claim two or more certificates with his BSc. I understand that none may have used this to claim two or more points, but your insights will be greatly appreciated. sheelay:I think I am interested if it is as stated. Please your number so we can talk further on WhatsApp. |
HarunaWest:You're welcome. |
sheelay:Hi Any open box apple watch series 3 available. I want to get it for someone as a gift without breaking the bank |
HarunaWest:Hi Haruna, The journey is certainly a huge undertaking, mixed with a lot of uncertainties, so I can understand your apprehension. However, it is possible that no one may be able to furnish you with the response you are expecting. This is because one size dosen't fit all. Immigrating means different things to different people. Some are at their happiest making this move, others are out of hope or luck for this country. Some could also claim that it is for the future of their children and co. You see where I am heading with these right? No one can tell you if it is worth it or not, because you are wearing a 'shoe' different from theirs. It may/may not be worth it, but ultimately, make sure you are doing it for the right reasons. Find your own reasons. If you cant seem to find any, please stay put in your home country. As for prospects, I cant speak on that because it is not always about your degree or experience. When you are starting afresh in a foreign country, extra employment conditionalities from that country may become one's bane. Canada is worth it for the right people. |
