Good IELTS but could be better. Aim for band 8 in listening. I'd advise you prepare to rewrite your IELTS.

As long as there is a gift deed. The money can enter into the account that same day.

The gift deed explains the huge influx of money. No need to show statement for 6 months. Just make sure the time period shown includes that money.

All the best to you all. Your sister is right.

Thank you for the response.

Hi,

Asking for my sister. If you are using deed of gift as POF, do you still need to show up to 6 months bank statement? Does 1 month suffice? She is under the assumption that there is no need for 6 months bank statement.

Hello everyone,

So I just received my stamped passport back. Abuja VFS to Accra seems to be relatively faster these days. The process took less than a month compared to the last time(first ppr) I submitted which took almost 6 weeks. Here is my timeline:

Submitted Passport: 14th July, 2022
Counterfoil Generated: 29th July, 2022
Returned back to Abuja VFS: 3rd August, 2022
Delivered to office: 8th August, 2022

After seeing my fourth Ghost update on Sunday, I called an IRCC agent on Monday. The agent informed me that all stages had been completed/passed on July 30, 2022, and a note is on my profile requesting the CIO to send the read for Visa email. Again, how much time would wait before I receive PPR?

In a matter of days depending on the VO. Congrats in advance.

Hi Guys,

So I just received my PPR. It has been such a long and arduous journey. It is close to nine months after my first ppr and subsequent addition of my spouse. I wish those still about to get their PPR a resounding goodluck in your journey. Just hang in there, it would get to us all. And to @GraciousWords, thanks for all you do for the community here.

I think they reviewed the POF upward again recently but just a few extra dollars as usual. Google POF family of two and it will bring out their POF link. Also use the Oanda currency conversion site to confirm current exchange rate. You can’t be guessing any exchange rate before someone denies your application over one cent lol. Oh and congrats too, any movement is movement. We’re inching closer to Canada cheesy

Hello guys,

So I woke up this morning to an update in my application. I was asked to send an updated POF in seven days. That's a good move I suppose. Meanwhile, just to confirm from the house, is the current POF for a family of two still CAD16,500? Not sure, because I saw something like an update in funds required by IRCC a while back. Plus, is the official rate still 320 per 1 CAD, and I guess that's what I should use. Cheers.

Thanks for the check up. Hmmm small news o. So, finally my medicals was passed after doing a second one. I am not sure which was passed actually; the upfront I did in January, or the one I did based on their request. Secondly, I have been calling IRCC weekly for the past three weeks, and each time I call, I am told security is in progress. Every other remains passed save for security (4 weeks and counting) which is taking longer than anticipated. I also got to know that my file has been moved from Montreal to Edmonton after my wife's BIL was updated - probably to finalize who knows, but I wish they could stop moving this file around and just finalize. It is getting to 7 months after my first ppr and six months after spousal addition and I am still waiting. It is so tiring and frustrating, but I am glad there has been a lot of progress on the application since then. Fingers crossed you'd be sorted soon as well. All the best to us.

You could have gone to the hospital with your remed request, they will link your upfront with it instead of doing another medical.
Also, that it's not reflecting in your account doesn't mean it has not been received. It has not just been processed yet

We did upfront in February and it was passed in 3 working days. Ppr came in march
Did you send a mail with your upfront details to London assessment centre?

Thanks for the input. I have been to IOM twice where I requested for a re-link but they stated that it can only be linked once after it is submitted to the portal. They advised I could try doing the requested medicals. Plus I have sent countless emails and webforms, even to the london assessment centre. I know it hasn't been processed; the agent I spoke to today said the same thing, but I am trying to reduce the duration of uncertainty(not knowing when) in my application.

If I were you and money was not a problem, I would go ahead with the remed request and forget about the upfront meds. Once the meds are updated by the clinic, IRCC seems to be updating and passing them very quickly these days.

I don't think you'll have any problems. The only difference may be validity of your COPR when they issue it may vary depending on if they assess your upfront meds from before or your remeds from May.

Thanks a lot for your input as usual. I would do that tomorrow.

Hello Guys,

I am tired of waiting for the upfront medicals I did since January 11 to be processed and updated on my profile. I have spoken to numerous agents and they keep telling me to be patient and all. Since I have received a request for medicals since the 27th of April, I have gone ahead to pay and book another medical examination for tomorrow. What are the ramifications of having two medicals on my file (one upfront and the second requested by IRCC)? Has anybody been in this position? I would need more clarity reagrding this conundrum before my medical appointment tomorrow. Please help with your suggestions.

Congratulations on ur wife receiving her BIL, I am also waiting for my BIL since March 17th that I passed my medicals….. please did you send webforms to ircc to disturb them or they just sent the email on their own.

Please disturb them. Send multiple webforms and emails. Call them too if you can connect. I did the same and I was lucky to have been issued BIL and medical at once.

Congrats on the BIL for madam. Ask the clinic if they can retransmit your meds from earlier in the year with the IME number on the IRCC remed request. And/or contact IRCC via webform and phone to provide evidence of your remeds done 3 months ago.

Thanks for the response. I asked them, and they said they only transmit once, and can't possibly re-transmit. I have gone ahead to contact IRCC via webform.

Still waiting for BIL for my spouse since January after she passed her medicals. Hmmm. Montreal shake body na undecided

Montreal don shake body small. Finally received BIL for my spouse. Even after notifying IRCC and uploading my medical slip, I also received a medical request, whereas I had done an upfront medical about 3 months ago. What do you guys advice? Should I keep notifying them of my upfront medical or I should go ahead and do another medicals?.

Please did you buy credit to use the app or it was data/WIFI?
Kindly guide me.. Thanks.....

You don't need to spend a dime. You use your wifi or data(functioning internet connection) to initiate the call though. Make sure you have a fairly good connection. Download the app, register on the platform using your phone number and just initiate a call to that IRCC number at the earliest. Preferably, 3 to 4mins before 12pm Nigerian time (weekdays only). Refer to my post for further instructions.

Hello everyone,

For those trying to reach IRCC, here is a post I came across and since it worked for me, it could work for someone too. I got connected at once after trying it. Please make sure your V.O is not outside Canada before calling them for enquiries on your application. Enjoy!

How to call IRCC within a min.

Go to ur play store or Apple store, download an app called Viber. After confirming it, dial +1-800-267-6788

Calling hrs is between 8am and 4pm which is 12noon to 8pm Nigeria time at the moment.

They operate in such a way that before there client support can receive calls, it must be exactly 8am

So you'll call them like 3 mins to that 8am

When you call, you'll first press 1 to select English

You'll press 2 to be connected to IRCC and this period, they'll tell you that client support department is closed but never mind.... Continue

After that you'll be asked to press 1 to provide your UCI but press 2 that you don't have

It doesn't affect anything because once they pick you'll still provide your UCI again and you need not to waste time providing it again thereby taking more time you are spending on the call

So this period, you'll be asked to choose number again, you can take style to waste time by listening to the options so that the time would be like 1 min to 12noon. Your phone time

The next number you'll choose is after pressing 2 that you don't have UCI is 3

After that, the next number you'll press is 2

Then the last number to direct you to the agent is 0, the moment your time changes to 12 noon exactly, press 0

Infact, the call won't spend 5 seconds before an agent will pick

If you missed this time, you can try it later but what they'll tell you is that there are plenty people on queue. You have to call back later and if you are lucky to be connected, get ready to wait for as long as 1hr if at all an agent picks it
