BusinessEntire Computer Village Shut Down Over Tax by papabaks(op): 10:41pm On Nov 20, 2008
Hello fellow Nigerian, I was very shocked today 20/11/2008 when I got to our own ever busy Computer Village, and find out that the whole community was shut down by our beloved Governor, just because they don't pay their TAX, Please fellow Nigerians do you think this is the right thing to do at this point of time?

I think if at all he will do that, he have to first enlighten them and make them know the reasons why they have 2 pay their TAXS, then if they don't comply He have the full right to shut them down without any problems.

Or what can say about this Facts?

TravelBrt Lite Go Live In Lagos By Lamata. by papabaks(op): 3:31pm On Feb 27, 2008
The first ever MULTIMILLION naira BRT project in Africa, is Set to be launched in LAGOS live by LAMATA along MILE 12 - CMS Corridor.WAAOOOh

I will appreciate it, if we can all discurse the GOOD, the BAD and the FAIR of this project, will it really add to the economy growth of Lagos state and Nigeria in general?

Can this really solve the traffic issue in Lagos statehuhhuh

The Guardian – Metro page

At last, LAMATA's BRT starts with 126 buses

After months of speculation, the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) has assured Lagosians that on Tuesday, March 18, the new Bus Rapid Transit, (BRT) system would definitely commence.

It is expected to run partly on physically segregated lanes on the Mile 12- CMS corridor.

The Managing Director of the authority, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, who disclosed this on Monday said the project, which was the first of its kind in the whole of Sub-Saharan, Africa would begin with 100 blue and 26 red buses.

To make allowance for smooth take off of the system, Mobereola said there would also be zero -tolerance on street-trading along the corridor, while driving or propelling whether mechanically or otherwise, of articulated vehicles, heavy duty vehicles, lorries, trailers and tankers on BRT corridor will be restricted to hours between 11.00a.m. and 4.00p.m. and between 11.00p.m. and 5.00a.m.

According to him, about N4.5billion has been spent on infrastructural development for the project, thereby making it one of the cheapest in the world, at $1.8m on a kilometre.

Elated that the challenges of the past several months would soon translate to memorable times for the commuting public, Mobereola said from March 10, non-compliance would attract the full weight of the law.

He said, “With the start of the BRT lite, transportation in Lagos especially along the corridor would cease to be a nightmare.

" Only BRT lite buses are expected to use the segregated lanes, while danfos and molues plying Ikorodu Road to CMS through Funsho Williams Avenue are to restrict their use of the corridor to the service lanes as LAMATA has invested in repairs of the service lanes to make them motorable again" he added.

The buses to be operated by LAGBUS and National Union of Road Transport Workers, Coops, he said would operate between 6.00a.m. and 10.00p.m. with three types of tickets.

While LAGBUS handles the express service, the normal bus stop- to- bus stop system would be operated by the National Union of Road Transport Workers, (NURTW) cooperatives.

He called for understanding from Lagosians to make the project work, as loading and un-loading of goods would be restricted to service lanes of the BRT lite corridor between 11.00a.m. and 4.00p.m. and between 11.00p.m. and 5.00a.m.

Shadow runs of the BRT lite, he also, said would begin tomorrow 28/02/2008.

Your Reasponce is highly needed.

Thanks

Marriage is not all about age, rather it's about been able to handle responsibility. You can be 40 and not been able to handle any responsibility and at the same time, someone can be 22 and mature enough to handle any responsibility.

Just be yourself and leave every thing unto the lord.

Christianity EtcRe: Do Pastors Fall Sick? by papabaks(m): 2:17pm On Sep 25, 2007
Their is no pastor that does not fell sick, but they only use faith to say that they are very strong, and mind you the Bible says, " As a MAN thinketh, so he is" so they think positively and not negatively, which is the source of their strength, and it keep them going in life.

Elijah fell sick, Zachariah, Paul, Moses and so many prophet in the Bible also fell sick but they remain strong in faith
