This does not apply to university settings where everyone is an adult. At most, most universities will simply ask that Lecturer-student relationships be declared to the relevant supervisory bodies. That's all. Even using common sense you should know that what you attached doesn't apply here.

In the university or any adult learning environment, you cannot have that kind of relationship. It has already created a room for bias. Guys know when a male lecturer likes a babe, how do you convince those guys that the teacher will be objective? They will never believe you because of the relationship. You also have some lecturers who give students or subordinates the exam scripts to mark. If that guy is a lady's man, they already know that they are not on fair ground.

It is a position of trust to be the teacher. That is why most schools don't allow it until the student has graduated or is no longer their student. That kind of relationship is an abuse of power which every student expects to be used fairly. Every university should have a policy on this kind of relationship.

If you are a man, think with your head, not your leg and never create an opportunity for your enemies to use against you. The world is not always fair when man VS woman case is in question so don't let someone take your daily bread from you. Use your head men.

Nigerians don't believe in consent without their consent. In that scenario, they started with consent but when she said she is hurting, it's no longer consent. This is commonsense but well undecided

I beg to differ. Section 357 of the Criminal Code is not at all vague in regard to this issue. Nigeria does not have a lot of lawyers bold enough and willing to go against the grain on these sorts of issues is the reason why it seems the Law is not on the side of the victim.

When the term "carnal knowledge" or the term "carnal connection" is used in defining an offence, it is implied that the offence, so far as regards that element of it, is complete upon penetration.

"unlawful carnal knowledge" means carnal connection which takes place otherwise than between husband and wife.

Most tend to cite these sections and the responsibility of women. In my opinion, Section 357 is clear with anybody at the first sentence but it is indeed a loophole with the 'married woman'. Does a woman marry herself?
