At 35 conquer your mind as a man. Don't let the world own you at this stage of life. Do this, don't do that. You'll get to your 40s and the doctor will tell you to start walking and do some exercises. Don't let the world fool you with their definition of what you are and who you are. |

Does Alex Reporter or whatever his name have a registered address ![]() The bill, titled ‘A Bill for an Act to Amend the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023, to Mandate the Establishment of Physical Offices within the Territorial Boundaries of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by Social Media Platforms, and for Related Matters, 2025 (SB. 650),” was sponsored by Senator Ned Munir Nwoko APC, Delta North. The same way of creating needless agencies and associations. Someone in the village must go to the capital city to register. Nigerian politicians are afraid of citizen journalism. The next thing is to ask for every Facebook and Twitter user to have a registered address. We know where they are going to. The big corporations can have offices in Nigeria. That I agree with but they don't know what blogging is. Before the social media platforms came into existence, people have blogged. Because they don't come with good intentions, this bill if passed will make them see what they never anticipated because you will chase your people to where you have no control. And the person that controls what you cannot control in your house is not your friend. |
Unfortunately you cannot police the internet, though I agree with the bill but we all know it's for a wrong motive. Na so Sahara disturb them but Nigerians know how to go around the loophole. Do not forget that El Rufai had said that Tinubu and his team are good with the media. APC knows the power of the media and how it got them to power. Immediately after they won the election in 2015, we saw the changes that they did to their media stations and outlets. NBC changed some regulations to how the terrorist attacks were reported and the new word was bandits. Radio Continental in Lagos was disbanded and became Max FM. Radio Continental that used to discuss politics, now became entertainment station. Newspaper headlines for radio stations changed. Their other stations on TV, they only allowed their lackeys control the narrative. One thing APC did not anticipate was that they don't own the media space. They could have controlled traditional media for their propaganda but the young ones do not rely on that anymore. I agree with control of blogging but I know the media has always been a problem for dictators because they like to look good on the media. You can hear it from the Senate President himself when he talks about the media. They don't like being called out, they don't like what they can't control that makes them look bad, even if it's true. This is level 1 sign to dictatorship. We can't forget the story of Cross River Watch, Dadiyata and so many more. Even Dan Bello has received threats. |
mysticwarrior:It's his mum. Listen to him here. He's gone through fighting, from Russia to Nigeria. I am not surprised he wants to become a lawyer.

This will make content for the reality show. You will need to be sure if you want your life to be a reality show. Will you be content or will your life be part of content? You can make money, you can also face the consequences. It's your choice. |
Tinubu already said he doesn't read social media. Save yourself from stress. |
This is why you should not let emotions take over reason. E get why. Wike has attacked everyone before him Diete-Spiff Odili Amaechi Omehia and now Fubara. What does that tell you? If there is something that is consistent about him, you need to understudy the worm. It enters the host begging for food and when it gets into it, it starts eating from the source until it kills it or the host kills it to survive. Read between the lines. |
Emotionss:Thank you and God bless you. Amen |
creolehunt:I follow the likes of emkz to save me the stress of explaining several times. I don't care if people insult me but those who fail to study history will ultimately repeat it. I have posted a response to this question in another thread but emkz helps me capture it better. One girl called Buhari a bad boy, I laughed hard at it. The context of that event made sense. This corps member called a President terrible whilst serving, I think she doesn't know how organizations work. It's it everything they need to spell out to you, that's why you went to school and lawyers get paid for interpretations. Odemwingie was fighting for his rights but the others were cowards too because they didn't go to social media or the press. 🤡 Odemwingie later regrets that he couldn't win an AFCON in 2013 and his West Brom rant. He learned later on. He was used as content back then, yes he was right, no he was wrong but who paid the price? Nigeria has seen many like her, and as much as I want Nigeria to change and I align with the sentiments in her comments, I'm not going to push her to die for Nigeria on my behalf. The likes of Gani did the same thing for the Nigerian masses, when it was time to payback, guess who they went for? Their Stockholm Syndrome Nurses. You gonna learn. The authorities will wait for their time, you don't fight the system by throwing yourself under the bus recklessly. It's not being a coward. emkz:

In an unrelated but related event, the NYSC girl makes me remember Osaze and how he was disciplined in Nigeria and England for his behavior. People don't understand why we have rules, everything na right. They don't know how to use the system to fight while they survive. They think everyone else is a coward. Joke is on them.

What you don't understand about the story is that women cross through the valleys of death to bring another human being to life. Child bearing is a life or death experience. |
hafeeanubasy:NL is now a dungeon of tribal warfare. See the comments above. Disgusting |
I am happy money disappointed them before they were disappointed in money.

Your open support for Minister Wike's destabilization of Rivers State is most regrettable. This will be the President's undoing. While listening to Donu Kogbara, one of the things that she said is annoying Rivers people is that President Tinubu is acting in an arrogant way in a state where he is not popular. papyjaypaul: |
Slytiger:I am above the foolish tribal fights you guys engage in. It's no news that Lagos was dirty under Tinubu. Fashola was the only one to make a remarkable difference between 2007 and 2015. He even started a campaign of tree planting which some of the people laughed at. This is where I blame the people because the Government has made effort but the people have not bought into it After him, Ambode caused the problem with the foreign firm he contracted. Whether Sanwoolu has made progress or not, is why we're having this discussion today.
|
Bookhub:Your mind is where the problem is. You have a mindset that is not helping you, that is why you are unhappy. Your state of mind is temporary, that is the good news. That temporary state is troubling you and you want to take your life so it can end. I think you need to read some books. You need to rebuild your mind. You can't control what is happening to you but you can control what you can react to. Where are you? What's your age range? What do you do for a living?
|
We are living in the era where some people think speaking about Tinubu is an offence and speaking about Tinubu in Lagos is an offence. Speaking about Tinubu publicly as a corps member on social media is violating NYSC Act but this dangerous thing of saying that just because you are from another state, you can't speak about your country, a part of your country, the GCFR and President of Nigeria is insane. Tinubu himself is not from Lagos so what is this madness about ![]() |
He is the President and I respect that office. So as not to waste the President's time, I will play him this video where he was talking about hardship 8 years ago. What does he think now that they are 10 years into that promise I have to attend to something important so I won't listen to the lamba he wants to say. |
In 1972, Lagos was described as the dirtiest capital city in the world. In 2025, they have used tribalism and division to divert you from the real issues. Mega city indeed. Both residents and governments are to blame. Archive: Footage of Lagos 1972, Dirty City.Throwback: Lagos Described As "Dirtiest Capital City In The World" In 1972 - Politics - Nairaland https://www.nairaland.com/5946867/throwback-lagos-described-dirtiest-capital I hope authorities step up to their responsibility and stop these mindless blame game. This is an inspiring video from Bangladesh where the youth decided to clean up the city. They have corrupt and irresponsible politicians who like to pass the buck. It starts with you and I, we are all responsible for taking care of our environment.
|
Two wrongs don't make a right but these 2 wrongs have 1 right. If the Northern leaders took care of their own, Tinubu no go see who to give nylon to.
|
Let them keep misleading her, na she go suffer am at the end of the day.
|
DeepSight:I will not reply you any further but if you were intelligent as you asserted, you would have understood what Lauretta did and why they were against her. You guys love to respond, fight and argue. You don't apply logic and deductive reasoning to issues. You are right, you have won. I lose. Goodbye. |
DeepSight:You are responding more with sentiments than logic. Kenny Ogungbe was on The Honest Bunch. The presenters asked him why he went to serve at his age since he has made it in life. He didn't even school in Nigeria. Maybe you should go and watch it so that you will understand that life is not gra gra. The problem is that you guys want to make your own rules when it suits you. You all don't know that time passes and tomorrow, the people there now will be history. It's not about them, it's about context. In the contest, she is not disciplined but what do I know? If I have to explain how her comments are political or why the medium she used is the press, it means many of you just like to choose the rules that you like. Only kids do that.
|
I want to post one test question since I believe NYSC members went to school and can analyze. Let's say a Presidential election is conducted tomorrow and this lady is posted to a PU, with her public post calling a politician a "terrible president", do you think she will make an Independent INEC adhoc officer ![]() |
DeepSight: papyjaypaul: |
emkz:Bless you for this post! The internet is a mob. They love the sensation. I have been insulted and called out because I don't support the girl's action. We have a big problem in this country but I'm not surprised. One thing about Nigeria is that people cannot think for themselves, they find it offensive when you disagree and instead of correcting the issue, they will resort to insults. The lady should receive proper counsel from those who love her. I am disappointed in Obi for supporting this madness, the same person who believes process is more important than results. What kind of country are they building? |
I wrote on the other thread that though I agree with the girl's sentiments, I disagree with her indiscipline and indiscretion going by NYSC bylaws. They came for me, using emotions to judge. The internet is not your family. People have hidden motives, it is best to seek counsel from the wise because these people will not live with you. They only want to use you for their own gain. Why didn't they campaign for Davido when he flouted NYSC rules? 🤡 |
State governors are one of the problems we have in this country but people always think it's the President. The President cannot be everywhere. Your LG has more direct relationship with you and responsibility to serve you than your President but the politicians want to corner the LG like the godfathers want to corner the Governors. If you go abroad, you see that your council is the one you interact with more than the government at the center. In Nigeria, State Governors will be doing work of LG, opening markets, constructing local roads, managing waste and work that is reserved for LG. They will now use it to compaign. |
SamuraiXXX:💯👍 This generation, their own Sharia court na online. Once you ask questions to judge from all sides, the mob comes after you. This is what you get when emotion > logic. Their internet court na jury, judge and executioner. Once they hate you, they will come for everything you do. You fit see them tomorrow de shout No to Jungle Justice but online, vawulence is allowed. Internet 🤡
