SmartPolician: Why should you remove her? Who doesn't know that RCCG is a disgrace to the Christendom?
A church that makes lying lawyers and politicians an ordained pastor has no business being called a Christian church. It is a business centre. Stop ranting and tell Nairalanders why Oluremi Tinubu should be removed What crime did she commit? |

Omooba77: The revered General Overseer clarified that Mrs. Tinubu’s journey within the church's hierarchy was not a recent development tied to her husband’s political ascent.
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has declared that the church will not bow to external pressure calling for the removal of Senator Oluremi, President Bola Tinubu's wife, from her position as an ordained minister.
Addressing a massive congregation during the church’s monthly Holy Ghost Service at the Redemption Camp on Friday, Pastor Adeboye broke his silence on the brewing controversy regarding Senator Oluremi’s dual role as a political figure and a cleric.
The revered General Overseer clarified that Mrs. Tinubu’s journey within the church's hierarchy was not a recent development tied to her husband’s political ascent.
He noted that she was ordained as an Assistant Pastor over 10 years ago, long before President Tinubu signalled his intention to run for the nation's highest office.
Adeboye emphasised that the First Lady earned her title through merit and followed the church's rigorous spiritual and administrative protocols.
“She went through the full process of ordination and has not violated any of the church’s guidelines,” Adeboye stated as quoted by Arise TV, dismissing claims that her status as First Lady should disqualify her from the pulpit.
He maintained that the RCCG is a spiritual institution governed by internal laws and will not be intimidated by outside critics seeking to influence its clerical appointments.
The statement comes amid growing debate on social media and within certain religious circles about the "neutrality" of high-ranking church officials who hold prominent political positions.
Critics have argued that Oluremi’s role in the presidency could create a conflict of interest with her responsibilities as a pastor in one of Africa's largest Pentecostal denominations.

Politics › Re: Peter Obi On His Way Out Of The ADC- Tweeps by Parachoko: 9:52am On May 01 |
AMINDA: Since it is clear that some Obidients won't support the ADC if Obi is not the candidate, it will be beneficial for the coalition if Obi runs solo. He won't win but it's important he balkanizes those votes down South and ensures that Tinubu is not able to flip any voter by using the "turn of the South" mantra. Unbeknownst to Obi, his base even in the Southeast will be split three ways with all candidates getting their fair share. Unlike in 2023, a section of the East will still vote pragmatically to maintain a stake in the ADC. I love your tears 😂😂😂

Originalsly: Not an engineer ...but let's reason this one. Carter Bridge was built in 1901. Brooklyn Bridge was built in 1883. Both sit in salt water Why is the Brooklyn Bridge still in operation... no thoughts of being demolished?...maintenance. Both bridges were built when hired drawn carriages were the vehicles of the day. They were not built for heavy duty vehicles . I disagree with the demolition of the bridge. Why can't they simply build a new bridge at another location then have the Carter bridge closed and rehabilitated? The piles can be repaired ...replaced or whatever. When reopened...like the Brooklyn Bridge ...the bridge should be restricted to light traffic ...cars only ...no commercial vehicles . The new bridge can be built somewhere else..... which would reduce congestion a lot more...it will take maybe a year or two. If the bridge is demolished .... there will be one or two years of commuting disaster. Government dey talk say, every international and local contractor who took a look at the bridge said it can't be repaired But you sit down in the comfort of your house, and telling the government it shouldn't be destroyed |
