for me i dont really think i am interested in the game part but i want to be building android apps for example something like Opay e.t.c.

Opay has lots of backend codes. What you see on that app is just API consumption. The real job is on the backend of that app which is either written in Java or C#.

To learn Android development just pick up Kotlin. Omo, I remember when I used to build android apps 6 years ago, it was in Java then. Omo, AsyncTask was popular then I don't think it is being used now.

If you studied CS you will do maths, very sure.

But for general programming paradigm you don't need maths except you are aiming to become a game Dev cos in gaming programming you will deal with coordinates points a lot.

Also, some aspects of Algorithm involve maths especially Algorithms Analysis.

If your aim is to become Front End Dev you might not come across maths except in CSS where you will be using some numbers
