If you guys knows what you are talking about realy, a Ghana man was amongst the four failed would be bombers in London in 2005 or so- he had been jailed since then. The news is that he left Nigeria to Amsterdamn and took a connecting flight from Amsterdam to Detroit - and i commented that the blame for security lapse shouldnt be blamed on the Nigerian security system because he would have been screened in Amsterdam prior to boarding the Detroit flight, then someone said for connecting flights, you dont get screened, which i countered by giving an example of flight from Lagos - Amsterdamn and connecting to London, you get frisked from amsterdam whatever flight you are boarding out of the airport, you are x rayed and all manner of things - all metals and liquids taken from you- so - whats are you arguing?

when you have a connecting flight, you dont go through security for a second time.  only when you FIRST enter an airport from the OUTSIDE do you go through security.  once you are in the airport (flight to flight) there is no security check unless other passengers/flight crew make a complaint about something suspicious.  if he flew out of nigeria (sounds like it from the news coverage) the fault of improper screening lays SOLEY on the the airport he used to fly out of the country (nigeria)
