PoliticsCan Osun Residents Confirm This? Please! by paschu(op):
So I explained to someone on Sunday that Islam is not a religion but a system of government (complete with its own judicial, political, social, economic and religious philosophies) which is widely opposed to the western system of government.

I also explained to her that Islam NEEDS absolute political and judicial domination to thrive in its pure form - and for that reason it cannot perpetually co-exist harmoniously with an opposing system of government in any society. It will always seek to suplant the existing political/judicial structures in order to gain dominant control over the prevailing political/judicial system. Thus, a pure adherence to the political and judicial aspects of Islam tends to breed extremism.

I also highlighted the fact that the reason southern Nigeria moslems tend to coexist peacfully with non-moslems is because they practice only the religious aspect of Islam without adhering to its political and judicial philosophies. The fact that there are no Islamic political/judicial structures anywhere in the south attests to the earlier assertion.

However, I was stunned this afternoon when I stumbled on the following narrative in a Christian Whatsapp group. The story is about what's said to be currently going on in Osun state.

PRAY FOR CHRISTIANS IN OSUN.

"Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the words of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you"

It's not today that the trend of global islamization has been going on, but Christians all over the world are sleeping and snoring away, some even said its not possible, they said more than that in Turkey, but today all monumental structures of Christianity in that country has been demolished, this gesture was extended to Nigeria during the regime of General Ibrahim Babangida, he led Nigeria to join Organizations of Islamic Countries, as if all of us here are giving obeisance to Allah, some good and courageous Christians fought it to the latter, worthy of note is the fact that, the northerners in Nigeria are hell bent on turning the entire country to their estate, hence the Fulani conquest which they are using herdsmen to perpetrate, still yet, Christians are sleeping.

Today, they have found a Yoruba/Igbira jihadist and fundamentalist to do their dirty job of eliminating Christianity In the land, his name is Rauf Aregbesola, the Governor of Osun State in Nigeria.

For a quick remeberance, Aregbesola's father is from Kogi State but his mother is from Osun State, he's an unrepentant jihadist with a mantle to either islamize Nigeria or scuttle the entire entity called Nigeria.

STRATEGY FOR ACHIEVING THIS.

In 2006, when Aregbesola came to Osun state, he firstly, separated the Muslims in that state from their Christian neighbors, telling them they would create their Islamic polity because Osun is Islam. Major campaign speeches begin with Arabic incantations, stiring the Islamic adherent and signifying to them of his messianic presence to lead Islamic conquest in that state. It worked for him, he got his mandate, not through the ballot, but through the court (which has been bought over by his godfather, who is also an adherent of islamization agenda)

The strategy is to paint the picture of an Islamic (Osun) state for the entire world especially the Arab nations who are their chief sponsors

Aregbesola boycotted the Central Bank of Nigeria & other banks in Africa (including Africa Development Bank) to take an Islamic bond/loan from Saudi Arabia, in the document which he signed on behalf of both Christians & Muslims living in the state is that the project that the money would be used for must be SHARIA COMPLIANT, which means, the gospel of Islam must be furthered in Osun viz-a-viz Nigeria.

He collected 11+ billion with an interest rate of 14.5 (according to THE ECONOMIST, an international journal) apart from the Sharia aspect, this is also geared to financially support Islamic conquest round the country because Aregbesola told Osun people that the loan is interest free, having collect the money, the first action is to instigate the Muslim Students society to seek court order to allow wearing of hijab in public schools (which to them must include Christian Missionary Schools) they appoint an Alhaji to seat as judge over the matter and the Muslim judge who is part of the entire coy approve what his religious kinsmen told him to approve.

EFFECT..

What is the essence of a Baptist High School with virtually hijab everywhere, within minutes, an order has been passed to the Muslim community that it's now a must for their daughters to begin wearing hijab, even if they must forced some who do not want to wear it. The noise of "Alaahu hakbar!! " flood the entire state capital of osun like another picture of Arab spring, every corner jubilations are intimidating, and they took a step further, making space for mosque anywhere they found church, in public schools, hijab is everywhere, like an almajiri camp and beggars homes. This is what Aregbesola is playing for the northern elites and cohort from Saudi Arabia.

IT WON'T STOP THERE.

Already, they have test ran their conquest in a particular town in Osun, Iree in Boripe Local government, the Muslim motivated by Aregbesola, closed down a Baptist Church demanding to have their own mosque in the school compound of the church, this was after they have succeeded in introducing hijab to both Christians and Muslim of that school, the Baptist Church was closed down for several months until they were allowed to erect a mosque (in a church compound), this is part of the islamization agenda of Rauf Aregbesola, in all Christians' Missionary Schools which triples the Islamic missionary in the state they want to first ensure thorough hijab practice, from there, building of mosque in all Christians Schools, then to pulling down of Churches in those schools and then begins the process of violently converting Christians into Islam by force.

CHRISTIANS ARISE!!!

We therefore called on Christians all over the world to speak with one voice to Jehovah! And publicly condemn this act from a power hungry governor who wants to do the bidding of his paymasters, our fathers in faith must begin to speak out as their work is about to be rubbished by an agent of opposition to gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

NOTE:

Pray for Christians in Osun state, they are facing great persecution currently, if Aregbesola and his cohort took over Osun for Islam, the rest of South-West States should be prepared....

Beloved brethren, pray for us, that we may be strong to stand in this period of great opposition to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Note:
You owe God and humanity the duty to pass this message to every Christian on your contact.
Of course I know that there's a load of biases in the writeup, but I would like you guys to at least confirm the bolded parts.

Thank you.

You are really lost. In case you are a Christian, I advice you to search the new testament for Mathew 21:16 where Jesus himself referenced a pslam of David.

He was refering to Psalm 8:2. And here's the excerpt:

From the mouth of infants and nursing babes you have established strength because of your adversaries, to make the enemy and the revengeful cease. - NASB
If you can just try study the Bible seriously, you'd be super dismayed to find that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob specializes in using the so called "miscreants" to accomplish major impossible feats. He does that in order to humble the so called elites, famous folks and the herds-minded mockers like you.

The problem with you lots is that you have zero idea how deeply spiritual (and otherwise) the current Biafran movement is.

Gosh, may I never have to deal with someone who reasons like you in serious matters.

You may not know it, but the majority of the present day Biafrans are not one bit ashamed of that old horrific civil war. In fact, on the contrary, they wear that state-perpetuted act of genocide as a badge of honour. That should tell you something.

Zendy, don't let thst silly bigot wrestle your consent for his twisted story.

There's no evidence that those two scenarios he cited ever took place during IPOB rallies. At least not to the best of my knowledge.

The burning of truck was in response to the crushing of road users in the east by the those trucks. And the mosque demolision was in retaliation to the mindless slaughter of Igbos in the east.

While those two retaliatory actions may not be the best, neither of those events was initiated during IPOB protests since 2015, that I know of.

zendy:
...

The Mosque and Dangote Trucks only got destroyed after the Navy, Army and Police opened fire on unarmed IPOB in Onitsha, killing peaceful protesters. That act is what drove people crazy.

Technology MarketRe: 13-Year-Old Nigerian Boy Builds Fan That Last Up To 19 Hours Without Electricity by paschu: 1:15pm On Feb 06, 2017
So in order to use the "invented" fan, you'd need to buy a "sewing machine motor" and keep it rolling constantly (usually with your muscle and energy) or the fan won't work huh

And yet you are too arrogant to celeberate a 13-year old whose innovative thinking had made the fan available without the need for the "sewing machine motor" or constant electricity?

Do you realize that you can even use that fan for a full workday without any need for intermittent charging?

Boy, that 13-year old is way smarter than you.

Give it up.

nabegibeg:
what is the name of the device ?

The fan was invented in 1882 by Schuyler Skaats Wheeler. A few years later, Philip Diehl mounted a fan blade on a sewing machine motor and attached it to the ceiling, inventing the ceiling fan, which he patented in 1887.
Technology MarketRe: 13-Year-Old Nigerian Boy Builds Fan That Last Up To 19 Hours Without Electricity by paschu: 12:54pm On Feb 06, 2017
It's only on your myopic high horse that you make such assumptions.

That boy was not producing those devices with sand. He was producing them with money. And that money was coming from folks who needed the device.

I know it's too complex for your head to grasp though, but what is being celeberated here is not the design of the device but its innovative idea that defies the CONSTANT need for electricity.

And contrary to your insinuations, there are plenty of marketplaces/petty shops in nigeria where such fans are desperately needed because they have zero access to electric supply.

Again, go and google apple 1, maybe then you will begin to grasp the difference between an innovative idea and a flimsy physical design.

PoliticsRe: Would GEJ Have Stopped This Recession? by paschu: 6:11pm On Feb 05, 2017
Good governance should be in continuity. GEJ was not GOD. So he did his best and it was good enough. Let PMB match and surpass what he met.

Regarding your comments here's my thought:

1) Nigeria's refineries were working during GEJ. They just were not producing enough fuel to meet the national demand. And the plan for dangote's refinery (and that of others did not start in 2015).

https://www.nairaland.com/2496853/how-jonathan-transformed-refineries-setting

https://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052702304607104579210322347689090

In fact GEJ's and prior governments gave license to several private firms to build refineries. And that was the right thing. But how do you expect a functional private refinery when it's cheaper to import fuel and there is no grounds for competition due to subsidy? ( And remind me, who again said subsidy should not be removed in 2012? )

http://thecitizenng.com/how-investors-stall-govts-drive-for-private-refineries/

You see, I doubt if this generation of Nigerians will ever be able to correct the damage they did to this nation's economy (in terms of lost time and lost opportunities) when they forced GEJ to retain the subsidy. It was a case of nigerians raping and damaging their present and future economy.

2) GEJ succeeded in diversifying the nation's economy more than any other head of state dead or alive. In fact, as at 2014, oil sector contributed just about 11% to the nations GDP. Google it.

And the fact that up to 70% of government expenditure had always been driven by oil (which should not be) did not mean that oil was the major driver of our GDP.

It was not.

GEJ (and oil production challenges) made sure it was not.

In fact our GDP under GEJ was so domesticated to the point that our "Export, as Percentage of GDP" was less than 15% despite the fact that Nigeria was Africa's largest economy. This was a first in history. And it is a pointer to the fact that the middle class cadre grew wider and had more to spend during GEJ's era. This is a major feat.

http://www.theglobaleconomy.com/Nigeria/Exports/

3) Recession means that the GDP had experienced negative contraction in three quaters CONSECUTIVELY. So the drop in oil price should only affect government expenditure adversely but NOT the GDP that never depended majorly on oil revenue. Remeber, oil sector contrinbuted only 11% to the GDP in 2014. So it's wrong to claim that low oil prices was the major cause of the recession. It was not. It merely contributed to it. BUT IT WAS NOT THE MAJOR CAUSE. This recession was clearly caused by this administration and its shipload of unfair policies. The only people who think otherwise are those who don't know the meaning of recession.

http://www.nationalplanning.gov.ng/index.php/news-media/news/news-summary/333-nigeria-s-oil-sector-contribution-to-gdp-lowest-in-opec-blueprint

4. Oil had always been the biggest forex earner for Nigeria. But GEJ made sure he ran with fair policies which successfully expanded other sources of forex. Two of such alternative sources that thrived so well under GEJ were:

I) Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) - Africa is the future of global investment. So GEJ smartly (with his policies) made Nigeria the top investment destination in Africa. That was a huge forex inflow opportunity which the current vindictive administration has ruined in less than 2 years.

II) Remittances - Due to GEJ's fair policies, Nigerians in diaspora were remitting up to $20 billion annually to Nigeria. That was another huge source of forex which this administration had hit so hard.

Do you remeber that even the president slandered the Nigerians in diaspora (as criminals) and even said they should no longer be given assylum abroad but should rather come back home? He said this to a global audience. And he never did or said anything to promote the Nigerian community abroad. Instead he painted a verbal picture which suggested that he was the only moraly upright person in the country.

The next thing is that his government litteraly made remittances dificult. From forcing people to collect the bank rate equivalent of the forex they were sent, to cracking down on cheaper and more convinient remmitance operators who were not based in nigeria. That was a war against legitimate forex inflow. But here you are blaming forex scarcity on low oil prices alone. What a shame!

Dude, it's time for Nigerians to stand for the truth.

Diamby:
So you are saying we wouldn't have been in recession with nigeria been a mono economy for close to 16years.While would we rely solely on oil as our export earning. You might be right with the policy directions this present govt have taken but you disagree from the fact that if we had diversified and have dollars earnings from other sources the drop in oil prices wouldnt affect us much and again. The value of naira now in the parallel market is not the true value of the naira in actual fact as there are a lot of artificial scarcity from those who want the status quo to remain. There was no response from you on why we still import refined Petrol, diesel and kerosene. If previous govt built a new refinery and revamped the new ones we would not need to import as such the forex demand from oil importers would stop and would be needed for only importing items essential items we need. Also prices at the petrol station would be very low. Just try to be truthful to youself and reflect on my points.
