The usual misinformation. Venezuela did not fail because of the plunge in oil price. VENEZUELA FAILED BECAUSE OF SOCIALISM.

Nigeria is NOT a Socialist State. And UNLIKE Venezuela MOST OIL PRODUCING COUNTRIES ARE NOT HAVING ANY ECONOMIC CRISIS RIGHT NOW.

[s]
Abagworo:
http://www.economiccalendar.com/2016/07/03/venezuelas-economic-collapse-becomes-humanitarian-crisis/

The combination of political mismanagement, corruption and plunging commodity prices have dealt a near fatal blow to the Venezuelan economy, as the country’s economic decline has quickly devolved into a humanitarian crisis.Weak commodity prices over the past two years have accelerated Venezuela’s decline. Once known as “Venezuela Saudita,” or Saudi Venezuela, the Latin American economy has fallen into the throes of recession amid the halving of oil prices since 2014. Oil accounts for 95% of the country’s exports, making it especially vulnerable to price swings in the commodity markets.

According to the World Bank, Venezuela’s economic downturn has yet to bottom out, sign that more pain may be on the way.One of the biggest pain points is the relentless surge in inflation, which according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will rocket above 700% this year alone. A 6,000% rise in petroleum pump prices and further monetizing of the public deficit are expected to feed into the inflationary spiral, further denting consumption and economic output.President Nicolas Maduro has attributed the deepening crisis to an “economic war” led by private businesses and foreigners, who are hoarding food supplies to undermine the government.

Maduro’s government has tasked local citizen committees with distributing scarce food supplies in a country experiencing severe shortages of basic goods and services. This has created optimal conditions for the black market to fill the void.On May 19, 2016, President Maduro officially declared a state of emergency where he blamed the so-called imperialist forces, such as the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), for undermining his administration.

The Venezuelan economy contracted more than 8% over the past year. It is forecast to decline another 10.1% in 2016, according to the latest World Bank outlook. The economy is expected to contract by a further 3.4% in 2017 before finally escaping recession.Underscoring Venezuela’s struggles are deepening internal divisions and limited regional allies to provide support to the economy. Venezuela’s right-wing opposition coalition won a landslide victory in the December election and has since vowed to strip Maduro of his presidency. The United States has already voiced support for a “fair and timely recall referendum” on Maduro’s leadership.Thousands of Venezuelans have signed petitions requesting a recall referendum against the president.

More than 1.3 million Venezuelans have offered their signatures, far exceeding the 200,000 required to move the process to the next stage. The election council has rejected nearly half of those signatures. After authenticating the signatures, the opposition would be able to conduct a second official signature drive, where they would have to collect nearly 4 million signatures to trigger the recall.

I don't know how you would feel if someone else had addressed the president as Governor Buhari. That's not just insulting, it's factually incorrect and a brazen falsehood.

The proper address is "His Lordship, Right Reverend Mathew H. Kukah, Bishop of Sokoto Diocese". If you think that's too long then call him Bishop Kukah, NOT Rev. Father.

Mr. Man, why do you derive so much pleasure from abusing your privileges?

Do you really think you are an unstoppable god? Why do you revel in distortion of reality. You are either pushing false narratives unashamedly or distorting truth without regard or fear.

What right do you have to change the title of this thread?

Farmer-herder conflicts never, under any guise, need to result to mass murder. So the OP's question is not about the conflicts, it's about the MASS MURDER.

Are there no farmers in Sokoto, Zamfara, Kano and the rest of core moslem, Fulani dominated North West (not Southern Kaduna). Why then are those conflicts not used as EXCUSE for mass murder in the North West? Do you ever ask yourself that?

Can't you see that you are beginning to lose your rationality due to your gross insensitivity and penchant for falsehood?

Why did you not create your own thread to rationalize the herdsmen terrorist organization?

The OP was asking a legitimate question: "Why did the KILLINGS stop suddenly?"

Your false narrative of rain fall and tsetse fly is pure delusion. The recent killings in Taraba happened in the middle of rainy reason. And there are ship loads of herdsmen in the South as we speak.

So, my dear mynd44, repent from your evil ways. Stop abusing your privileges before it gets too late.

You had ZERO rights nor obligation to derail this thread. So your doing it was a gross abuse of privilege.

- ISIS claims responsibility for deadliest gun massacre in modern US history.

- FBI says no connection with international terror group yet found in ongoing investigation

Isis has claimed responsibility for the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history as it continues to lose territory in its self-declared “caliphate”.

Police said at least 58 people were killed and 500 victims wounded when a gunman opened fire on dense crowds at a concert in Las Vegas.

Officials have identified the shooter as Stephen Paddock, a 64-year-old white American who had multiple weapons on the 32nd floor of a nearby hotel, where he is believed to have killed himself

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/las-vegas-isis-shooting-claims-stephen-paddock-responsibility-latest-a7978941.html

Isis claimed a “soldier of the Islamic State” was behind the killing.

But Mr Rouse, a former counter-intelligence chief, who is the lead agent in charge of the Las Vegas district, appeared to dismiss this claim, saying there was no evidence of any link to the Islamist group.

:: Follow our live blog for the latest updates on the Las Vegas shooting

He added: "As this investigation continues we will continue to work with our partners to ensure that this is factually, thoroughly and absolutely investigated to be able to bring comfort and peace back to this community."

His comments come at an early point in the investigation and do not preclude detectives finding a link to international terror groups later in the probe.

The CIA is also advising caution on "jumping to conclusions" after Isis said it was linked to the attack, with agency spokesman Jonathan Liu saying US intelligence agencies are aware of the claim.

He said people shouldn't rush to judgment "before the facts are in”.

The probe quickly moved from Las Vegas’ famous strip of hotels and casinos to a retirement home in the small desert town of Mesquite.

Heavily armed police were searching the single-family home where 64-year-old Paddock lived with 62-year-old Marilou Danley, who police said was not involved in the attack.

People CHOSE Christianity here. No one one was forced, maimed or intimidated into becoming a Christian like the Islamic Jihadists do. Christians do not practice jihad nor fight for their God. On the contrary, Christians show love, preach their gospel and thereafter allow people to make their choices. Very unlike Islam where freedom of choice is alien.

And since you knew that one religion can supplant the other, why then are you hypocritically denying its possibility while the jihad has been ongoing in the North for ages?

Egypt was once a Christian dominated country.

They even had their own pope presiding over a church whose root is traced back to St. Mark - not European missionaries as you have in Nigeria. Yet, even you ignoramus is now calling the same Egypt "a moslem dominated country".

So, dear boy, if the stronger root of Christianity could be uprooted from Egypt, what the heck makes you dream that Nigeria cannot be islamized?

Politics / Re: A Letter To Ruben Abati by paschu: 1:23pm On Sep 26, 2017
owobokiri:
As noted by Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu before he passed on, part of the problem bedeviling the emergence of anything close to a southern unity in Nigerias politics rests almost squarely on the penchant of the editors of the wayward media houses along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway to insult, humiliate, antagonize while lampooning leading political characters from the other different sides of southern Nigeria , all in a bid to protect some parochial interests. Ruben Abati has always been a leading culprit in this crime... Yet, Since the end of his inglorious voyage at Aso Villa, a bit of level headedness seem to have visited him . Lots of us who know him for his highly polarizing outbursts in the past were genuinely surprised by his fibbled attempt to now write, think , argue and reason above the normal ethnic pulls that used to be his bane in the past. That glitter of hope all seem to have crashed now, as expected, with his latest empty drivel. He calls it "a letter to Nnamdi Kalu", yet it is nothing but a hatchet job prepared with the sole intent to do damage to the reputation of Nnamdi Kanu. A taunt of the igbos.

In his so called letter to Kanu, Rueben Abati threw caution to the wind and rambled along like a wayward toddler, throwing dry humors all over the place in the face of a serious constitutional breach perpetrated by a worn-out dictator in agbada.., a breach capable of unnerving an already epileptic democracy. Misplaced priorities? No! He just was living up to the kindred spirits.. But He should know better; Reuben Abati is a lawyer. A lawyer should know how wrong it is to allow a brutal dictator dressed in a tortured democratic gab get away with extra judicial killings. Trying to ignore Buharis murderous escapade in Umuahia all in a bid to taunt Kanu shows how shallow and petty a confused Ruben can be.

Kanu has no standing army. Kanu has no standing police (the uniformed boys at his place are nothing but vigilantes). Kanu has no guns , has no armored personnel carriers, no rockets and no war plans. The Nigerian army of remorseless killers are the ones who deployed these weapons to assault, abduct and kill a group of peaceful protesters whose only crime under a supposed democracy was to call for a referendum to allow the emergence of a new state. You would expect a thorough bread editor/lawyer of Abatis vaunted pedigree to focus on the more troubling realities associated with Buhari/Brutais mad dance in the east, but no; he wont. The killing of hundreds and the methodical humiliation of a region by a sectional army under the command of a brazenly parochial Buhari only provided for a conscienceless Abati, another opportunity to taunt and be amused. Huge shame.

The way some of us are egging on the army, we seem to be oblivious of the fact that by recent recruitment quotas, we are slowly having before us a sectional army devoid of any obligation to be impartial when deployed in conflict areas within the country. With the top echelon of the army almost entirely dominated by the presidents men, it is obvious that slowly but surely, the tendency on the part of the army to take sides when deployed within the country will continue to increase. That means that irrespective of who is being forced to "python dance" today, the man at the other end maybe at the receiving end tomorrow as he maybe forced to "viper dance". We all saw how NADECO was almost decimated by Abacha in this country. Essentially , folks should be more alarmed by the wrechless utilization of the coercive instruments of the state by a sardonic president whose penchant for blood-letting only reminds one of the Pinochets and PolPots of this world.

To argue that the so-called Kanus "hate speech" provided enough reason for this massacre is so laughable. Is it still a democracy? It is just a funny charge willfully employed by the evil minded to defend the governments heinous murderous campaign in the east. What is hate speech? Who defines hate speech? And is the crime of hate speech punishable with ethnic cleansing? These are the questions the likes of Ruben should be laboring with. Trying to know why a defenseless man in his fathers house didn't put up a fight against the army or asking why he hasn't biult a house in his village are the kind of discus that one expects from zobo and kunu sellers and not from an editor of Abatis "pedigree". Taunts wont kill Biafra. Bullets haven't.

Politics / Re: The Igbo House Slaves & The Igbo Field Slaves by paschu: 1:13pm On Sep 26, 2017
wanimo:
THE FIELD NEGRO AND THE HOUSE NEGRO

By Chukwubudike Ugbaja.

In the USA, in the days of physical slavery there were two kinds of negro slaves: the field negro and the house negro, also referred to as "field niggas" and "house niggas".

While the field niggas worked the plantation, the house niggas served the master and his family, in the house. Their position gave them access to crumbs from the "massa"'s table, and some semblance of warmth from his fire place.

It was a privileged position to be a HouseNigga, and so they grew to detest the idea of freedom, for so long as they were the ones who were pleasured with the nice aroma from the massa's ( master ) kitchen, what other kind of freedom are those fellas in the field talking about?

"It is their stupid talk about freedom, and running off all the time that makes massa think all we niggas are bad,and we might so lose this privilege of eating warm food and warming massa's bed if these field niggas don't stop singing those nasty freedom hymes."

So the House Niggas grew to hate and betray their kins in the field. And to prove total loyalty and impress their masters they decided to #SelfHate , and siezed every opportunity to inform their owner "how bad we niggas can be".

As a matter of fact these slaves once upon a time fought against their own liberation. Yes, there were some black slaves who fought on the side of the Confederate Army in the American civil war to prevent their own freedom!

Now thats how far some slaves are willing to go because for them, freedom has been redefined to mean, a more comfortable enslavement.

That's the House Nigga Syndrome!

They hate their own kind. They oppose their kind. They find fault always with themselves. They magnify the error of one of their kind to mean an inherent trait in their racial or ethnic gene.

The #HouseNiggas do all these to seek validation and receive approval from those they look up to for a more comfortable enslavement.

With the end of the Nigeria/Biafra war, the need for personal survival of the Igbo Nation led to the creation of the #IgboHouseNigga.

Now you already know the guiding ethos of a typical house nigga. But how do you identify an IgboHouseNigga when you chance upon tthem? Here are some important traits to look out for:

1. When you hear him say, "Look, I am an Igbo man, but truth be told, we Igbos are bad, even me I am bad", know that an IgboHouseNigga is on the prowl.

Then his "Massa" would always reward him with, "Hey, I like that dude, he is honest". And the idiot will nod like an atụrụ.

2. They sometimes open introduction with an apology, "I'm sorry sir, i'm Igbo..."
Now not sure if their apology was accepted, they would take a step further to water down their Igboness by linking themselves to some dinasours, " ...em...but my great grand mother's sister was Yoruba ...and my couzine is married to a Kanuri ..i'm sorry sir". An IgboHouseNigga.

3. You hear them wave off every attempt at Igbo self determination with hollow sounding comments like "Nna leave this Biafran nonsense ...dem no get work ...na we dey kill ourself...". Now this group of IgboHouseNiggas have small change in their pockets, drink some expensive wine and have one plot of land somewhere outside Igboland.

4.They take up political appointment outside Igboland and turn around to insult the same people on whose platform they got the appointment, one chap in Lagos is always in the market place pointing at his father house with his left hand. IgboKweNu!

5. Their ears itch for bad news from Igboland, so they would grin and shout "I warned them...didn't I say so?"

6. When you hear Igbo haters declare; "Hey that chap is the only Igbo man that makes sense" just know an Igbo house nigga is around the corner.

7. They see everything wrong with their own people, all the time.

8. As governors they report to the Sultan of Sokoto on how they govern their own people. There are five of them at the moment and they the wo

She harnessed the power of cutting edge technology and crass shrewdness to transform a traditionally hi-touch and laid-back profession into a million dollar business at a time most Americans were clueless on how to use the internet.

Here's an archived page of the site ( Glamour Roses) which she used to run her escort service.

Uzo Candybabe (or simply Uzo) is a frequent guest on the Howard Stern radio program. Uzo is an immigrant to the United States of America from Nigeria, and was incarcerated in California for several months following a conviction related to an escort service run by her.
On Stern's radio program, Howard Stern once described Uzo as the most physically attractive woman he had ever met.

The nature of Uzo's escort business is not entirely clear, although Uzo has stated that she has grown wealthy from the business (which operated in New York City) by employing highly attractive models to work as escorts, typically earning several thousand dollars per engagement.

Definitely, she comes across as highly energetic and a pretty dynamic personality.

And it seems her profile was already known in Nigeria before now.

And apart from having ran the controversial escort service and prostitution ring, she seems to be a recording artiste and an entertainer too. Even owned a personal branded website as far back as 1995. In fact Uzo.com (similar to her old brand name) is up for sale now at $50,000, and I think this may be partly due to her iconic online activities and controversies.

One thing is clear though, she seems to derive personal pleasure from controversy and putting others down. Just consider this her old interview statement, for example.

Uzo: Los Angeles is a broke town. But that is not their real sin. All talk and little action is the order of the day in LA. They all basically play each other. The phoniness is too much. And the women in LA dress way too tacky. My fashion line needs to début in LA so that I can teach the poor souls how to put an outfit together, cover up and still be sexy without looking like an out-of-work street hooker. Now Palm Beach is filled with with LAZY people trying to get something for nothing. There are surprisingly lots of people in Palm Beach claiming to be what they are not. Just to sucker you into their little web of lies and make you their meal ticket...

How about stating what that fake history of yours says?

[s]

Farmerforlife:

Ojukwu used the people's sentiments to achieve his own ends. The start of the civil war was also carried out in an illegal and hate-filled manner, despite the popular Igbo narrative that the slaughter started from the Northerners. Historically, it did not.

Uwazuruike is still alive and continuing his mission. Occasionally his followers engage in violence, they are punished. He should teach them to adopt non-violent means. There will be no reason to arrest him or proscribe the group he founded in that case.

Nnamdi Kanu is not smart. In the end, he will abandon his followers and live large in the UK, playing on the people to help him fund a lavish lifestyle, much like Ojukwu, and like he will be reverred for getting his followers killed while his family is safe. Eventually, he will make a deal with either this government or a subsequent one, and once he gets his periodic 'allowance', all his rhetoric will be washed down the drain, mark my words.

- Ojukwu did it in a "much better way" (think Aburi accord). But what did Nigeria do in response? It declared war against Biafra and killed millions.

- Uwazuruike did it in a very "diplomatic" manner. But what did Nigeria do? It locked Uwazuruike up and killed many of his followers.

- Now, NK is doing it in a different way. Yet, the killing is continuing.

For how long will you support evil?

Farmerforlife:
It is not wrong when the self-determination in question is restricted to legitimate means. It is terrorism funding when the acclaimed leadership of the self-determination movement openly asks for funds to buy arms or preaches hate against other regions. What Nnamdi Kanu is trying to do is very similar to what Shekau (another proponent of his own brand of self-determination) is doing. Both are using illegal means. Since these illegal means include the buying of arms and the use of violence, funding either would be terrorist financing.

Nnamdi Kanu was not smart. He could have achieved his objectives in a much better manner if he had done so with wisdom and patience. He chose the path of showmanship over substance, and wooed the ignorant rather than the intelligentsia. He is practically finished now.
