Take heart, sir. |
Very well-written article. Last time I was in Enugu, I inferred there must be a scramble to own properties in the city. All ends of Enugu had new estates springing up. Towards Nkanu, there's the Centenary City and Goshen Estate. Towards Emene, there's Bethel estate. Towards Nike, there's Lakeview, Elim estate Iand Vivian estates Towards 9th Mile, there're at least 2 estates I admire the plan to decongest the city center. In all, Chime has done well. The next governor should focus on Nsukka and Agbani, while advancing the facilities already in place in Enugu urban. |
awodman: Imagine!...he was even trying to deride the airport upgrades going on...if only he did that in his time we won't be talking about upgrading airports at this age..all I see is a conspiracy theorist trying to reedem himself..May be we should dissect the entire lifetime of our aviation ministry 6 months apiece, so we can find the several other ministers who should be lauded for having an accident-free ministership. Smh. For all his vaunted education, does he have no understanding of probability. Femi, I could help you factor out the probability that an air crash will occur in the coming 6 months. |
proO1: I wonder. It is infra dig for me to read this îmbecile's dime-a-dozen articles, let alone attempt to analyse the (non)sense in them. A bad tree cannot produce good fruits.LOL. Given the rate he churns them out, I've no reason to doubt you. |
awodman: Yea Femi agreed no air crash happened during your tenure..since u claim you put in alot of hardwork to that..pls can you tell us specifically the exact things you did, the safety infrastructure and equipments you put in place and how this things ωнεяε destroyed when you left..its not enough to tell no crash happened during your time as it could be sheer luckFemi attributes his "success" to Prayer, and God's grace. No specific policies, no reforms, no nothing. He just knelt down everyday at work, tore the mask of nature and stared at the face of God, for 6 months. ... The Fourth Dimension: Oduah isn't praying enough |
Double post |
There was no air mishap during FFK's 6 months as Aviation Minister. This calls for celebration! Moet, anyone? |
National Dialog is a waste of resources, but employing Egyptian doctors into your States civil service while your local doctors are not adequately remunerated isn't! Hypocrite! Well, that's what one expects from a state favoured by the status quo. Besides, this 'waste' will actually be for something worthwhile |
Mafia Man: I don't care about any equal or unequal representation as I said earlier. We are going to table our demands openly, and we must have everything in it or we pulll out of this worthless contraptions. Every region MUST be allowed to develop at her own pace. Every region MUST control her whatever resources she has, every region MUST have regional police; every region MUST have a premier, who is the regional leader. The decentralization of power MUST commence with immediate effect.Your conclusion and the thought process that led to it are amateurish. Without forming alliances, your MUSTs will have the minority to speak for it. If Hausa-Fulani have their way and this conference is based on population, you might as well kiss goodbye to all these admirable ideals you have listed. And, perhaps get a chance to revise your decision 50 years hence. But I trust Ohaneze, Afenifere are wiser now. Plus, Afenifere's willingness to collaborate is reassuring. We might be at each other's neck all day here on NL, but when it comes to ideologies that should guide Nigeria of the future, no two groups are more in agreement than Igbos and Yorubas. |
Mafia Man: No need of big big grammar. You honestly want us to make statement endorsing your views? After eons of name calling?Yes, a section of Ohaneze did. But Igbo people, even on this forum, pointedly said it was in bad taste. But, if we are honest, the group didn't just wake up and call you names; It was a reaction to a distasteful action. Moreso, FFK called us "crude, unlettered in all their ways" and other unprintable names. How about that? Igbo people are all for division too. Or regional government. At least, there was healthy competition among the regions back in the day. |
Mafia Man: Funny, so Afenifere should now be Ohaneze rubber stamps? If you want our backing, you must present whatever you have on clear terms. In what universe does agreeing with someone make them, to borrow your own words, your rubber stamp? You sound insecure. Nevertheless, let's not quibble over terminologies. My question still is, where does Afenifere come down in this present disagreement? Hausa says it must be based on population (a convenient advantage for the North) Igbo says tribes, zones should be equally represented. What do you say? Feel free to inch towards the North's hankering, but at least have the decency to inform the rest of us. Finally, that unnecessary detour to demonize Ojukwu and your simplistic account of the events that led up to the civil war both make your argument inconsistent, and without depth. |
Seriously? I thought cuckolds were an American fad. |
Afenifere National Publicity Secretary, Mr Yinka Odumakin told Vanguard on telephone that it also intends to agitate for true federalism, parliamentary system of government and state police among others at the conference.Collaboration is the operative word, if the Dialog must succeed. |
papparatzzi2013: The truth is, we the southerners, need to form a united front if we ever want to get anything meaningful from the talk shop .I completely agree. Think about if Afenifere were to make an official statement that they endorse Ohaneze's submission. It's a little thing, but it does show the northerners that Nigeria might no longer be business as usual. That will lead the ACF to actually think, and perhaps come to agree with others, or bring up a better suggestion. |
bloggernaija: We have moved beyond SNC ,Outright partition is where we stand.Oh, really. On the pages of newspapers, huh! Well, the rest of us are actually trying to give the National Dialog a good chance of succeeding, before we explore other options. |
papparatzzi2013: I don't need to ask them. We have been well tutored to know the core of what yoruba stands for.And now you're on the same page with Ohaneze. Why did you have to begin with your ACF-taunting-Igbo theatrics?! Funny dude. |
papparatzzi2013: Funny you.Frankly, you're rambling. The issue at hand is about representation at the conference. I ask again, what's Afenifere's stand on that? None? You should pressure them to do the tie breaker, not sit on the fence. |
papparatzzi2013: ACF is taunting them now, they can't talk. If it was Afenifere now, all of them would have died on this tread with one comment or the other .First of all, when you you talk like that, people think you're crazy. Second of all, if you bothered to check Punch's website, you'll find Ohaneze already replied ACF to the effect that she (Ohaneze) isn't about to compromise her stand. Listen to an organization driven by a philosophy that's rare these days: But the pan-Igbo organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, said it would not worry itself about the outburst of the ACF over its call for equal representation at the proposed national dialogue. Finally, if I were you I'd be more interested in pressuring Afenifere to make her stance known, and break the age-long jinx of sitting on the fence. |
babyosisi: I sabi Holy Ghost cathedral well wellI grew up in Enugu; I know the area well enough too. I used to go for catechism classes for a brief period there. |
Think not whether the future Governor will bury Mimiko, rather think what you can do for your country. |
centje: Doc, happy ind. Day!Boss, how far na? Was going through your gallery yet again. Impressive every time. |
bellong: Happy Birthday to your mum who was an independent baby girl....Amen! Thank you. |
adaobi123: Which one is you op ?I'm the one on mummy's lap. ![]() |
