xynerise: If her husband will allow her then no problem.
I don't think the husband should have a say on that aspect of the ceremony. It is the bride's decision that counts when it comes to bride's maids

Danhumprey: I have said it time and again, you gals tend to easily generalise about men when things don't work out your way and when men generalise about you gals, you start crying something else.

The fact is such men are available, but they are few are scarce in number. Not all men help ladies with the intention of getting something back.
@bolded, no b lie. Dm go say any man wey near girl na only one thing him dey find for her body, if the same man help her without doin anythin na mugu dm go call am. #confused lot

bellong: From her post, I guess she is a counsellor. So she is doing her professional work, she can speak with the husband.
Even if she is a counsellor, she shouldn't talk to the husband.

kreami diva: I don't know what to say. Enough has been said from page 1 to 101. Our lives don't start and end with a man. She should apply wisdom.

A friend of mine too is in that situation. Her hubby is super rich. Built a house for her father in the village. When my friend caught him with a girl,he gave her 1million naira cash to appease her. He opened a big frozen foods business for her. She gets everything she wants.
Last Christmas, she was bought a Honda Pilot. Yet,he beats her, calls her names, locks her out of the house sometimes and cheats on her.

My friend said she's not going anywhere. Say she'd rather stay married to him because of course, she's gaining a lot from the abusive marriage.

Maybe your cousin stands to gain a lot by staying but let her know that it's only the living that enjoy the good things of life!
Like many girls do say, "it's better to cry inside a jeep than to laugh on a bike"

@babylolaroy, see the bolded from her earlier post. I just want to know when I said women aren't humans.

alutacontinua: Try the last sentence of ur siggy nd start from der. I know a part of u is still weak for women buh u've too many misconceptions nd generalizations abt ladies dt ain't cool. Guys 've nt been d best things to happen to me in lyf either but i'll never ever come here to bad-mouth guyz, (except i'm kidding)- Infact, i don't even generalize it, i dn't bliv in gender fights, i bliv we're all humans! There are good men, there are bad men, der're are good women, der're are bad women. Dt one guy is bad means just that-the guy is bad NOT guys are bad!!!

So, maybe, for once, try nd see it dt way too! Try nd see ladies as humans first before any other thing and stop generalizing! There're wonderful ladies out der just lyk i bliv u're a wonderful guy too!

I deal with humans as humans, not male or female. A few hormonal differences is not enough for dt much discrimination!

Abt d hug, rules are meant to be broken! I might be d first, no worries, i' try to avoid contact with the sensitive places if u wanna avoid! wink cheesy

Once again, i'm sorry for the misconception.
FamilyRe: For Abused Wives, Girlfriends & Men!!! by passionate88: 6:27am On Oct 18, 2013
Beware, that reconciliation might just be a smokescreen.
I remembered a movie I watched with my mom "Sleeping with the enemy" starring Julia Roberts, I was a kid then but I still recollect some scenes from that movie. The little I know about abusers is that when/if there victim(wife) flee from them, they will do whatever it takes and say whatever people wants to hear just to get her back and when they are back, the abuse continues. They would rather see the wife dead than be happy.
Some men are just SICK

A 33 year old man, Sunday Eze is on the run after murdering his wife with acid, on Friday October 11th.
Sunday Eze who hails from Obiofia Nnewichi Nnewi in Anambra State, went to his father-in-law's house at Edoji Uruagu to see his 23-yr-old estranged wife, Ebere Eze (Nee Agwuncha) who had moved back to her father's house after a quarrel with her husband.
The victim's in-law said Sunday came to the house that Friday and claimed he had recently bought new plots of land he wanted his wife to see, he managed to convince Ebere to go with him to go see the land.
The clueless Ebere who never suspected anything followed her husband and as they approached Oraifite/Ichi axis in Ekwusigo Local Government, Sunday Eze turned on his wife and attacked her.
He beat her with iron, poured acid on her and then forced some of the acid down her throat.
It was her sreaming that attracted some policemen who were passing by the area but by then, her attacker was long gone.

I think it's very nice that muslim women get to keep their names after marriage, it's one area where muslim women are empowered more than women from other religions so I admire them for that.
I Africa, they don't keep their names. #fact

It's not a christian thing to do and it's origins is in pagan religions.
Bearing of husbands' names is also not in the Bible smiley
