Let me add my voice

Granting someone bail at any amount simply means that the person who will stand as surety to the accused must be ready to pay that amount when the accused runs away before the conclusion of the case, meaning the surety is not even paying any money before the release of the accused...even cubana doesn't know the meaning of bail, hence he wouldn't have posted that "money na water "...no one paid any money...it is simply a condition should the accused runs away

I bet 99.9 % of nairalanders do not know this

Drilling a borehole in any part of the north is a herculean task. Only the super rich construct them there.
Obi is clearly making a statement that drilling boreholes in the north is possible and the state governors should focus on providing quality drinking water for their subjects.

Sadly, a monopolistic market will not generate the desired competive atmosphere which could crash down the prices of petroleum products.
Since it is clear that the sharks in the oil and gas industry have frustrated every move by government to revamp the four refineries, government should look towards privatizing them or sell them off outrightly to private investors.

There is a lot they are not telling us about what actually happened in Okuama.
It was definitely a battle with oil thieves. The unsuspecting villagers were just victims of circumstance caught in the crossfire.
No one is talking about court marshalling the ravaging soldier who in the guise of holding a peace talk opened fire on unarmed locals.
Somehow,, when those vested with responsibility to curb crime suddenly becomes a cartel in the criminal circle, expect things to go south.
Somehow it takes this sort of attack by the militants for them to realize how far off they have wandered from their legitimate duties
If the soldiers are claiming they just detected these illegal refining sites that would be a blatant lie. They knew all along but had been collecting their tithes regularly.

Exam malpractice in Nigeria is not just a regional problem. Every region is massively involved. I was shocked how they even do it in the north. They copy the answers on the board. When such mark cheating occurs, those marking the scripts just turn a blind eye.

So if you increase a state allocation from 100b to 115b, it is just mere figures increase with no true value. It clearly shows that subsidy removal has not yet added any noticeable value

In this era of hyper-inflation, we can't rule out the influence of speculative selling - a situation where sellers deliberately increase the selling price of a commodity due to a number of economics factors, whereas the middlemen have not effected a chnage in the actual price of the item.
The retailers are definitely guilty of this. At a time like this when the tides are down and people trying to exist, what comes to the mind of the average trader is how to further milk the degraded buyer of his meagre earnings.
It is time all woke up to face the obvious reality. While we swim along like a people without a leader, it is necessary foranufacturers to price tag their products. Even where that is done, the lawlessness of the average Nigeriantradet comes to bear.
Check out those selling printed recharged cards. No one in my area see)s 100 naira airtime for the sampled amount. Recently, the prices of cement noticeably skyrocketed. Even retail price of ordinary pure water has trippled. Traders who buy 20 satchets of pure water as 300 naira are solidly selling same at 50 naira per sachet, i.e. 1000 naira. The consequences?
Manufacturers will push up their selling price. The vicious cycle persists. Everyonee blamed it on the inflation.
The government must be bold enough to investigate the profit margins derived by these traders.
There is also the need to design an appropriate profit margins for the traders.
Here's is what's accepted as a decent margin.
10% of the cost price .
5% is considered rather low.. while 20 % is on the high side.
