Mr Peter Obi has joined other eminent Nigerians to sympathize with the family of popular Nollywood actor Mr John Okafor popularly known as My Ibu who recently passed on after a protracted illness.
Using his verified Facebook page, Mr Peter Obi posted:

Just as I tweeted my condolence on the death of Nollywood actor Sisi Quadri, a lot of people, through my comments section, called my attention to the death of veteran Nollywood actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu.

His death is very saddening. He was one legendary comic actor who embodied laughter, exuded joy and spread happiness. When sadly he took ill, we all prayed for his quick recovery and hoped he would bounce back in good health.

His death is a huge loss, not just to the entertainment industry, but to the nation. Those artists who lighten the mood of the nation also perform a great task of helping us all to weather the dark storms of life.

On behalf of my family, I commiserate with his bereaved family, the Actors Guild of Nigeria, who just lost two legendary actors within a few days and the entire Nollywood family. We share the pains of his death, but are comforted by the cherished moments of joy and happiness he left behind.

May God who called him home grant him eternal rest and grant his family, and all of us who mourn him, the fortitude to bear his sad irreplaceable loss. Rest in Peace Mr Ibu!

Is either Tinubu return the subsidy, borrow more money and leave the suffering to the next generation

He remove subsidy.... get money to run government by Increasing the internally generated revenue and pass the prosperity to the next generation.

Tinubu decision may be hard to for some citizens to beat especially low income citizens but I believe that Tinubu will increase the minimum wage soon.

The other, problem that Tinubu is facing is insecurity and Floating Naira.... That 2 problems come in the same direction and Tinubu is already tracking it.


Tinubu has declared war against Insecurity by creating a force called FOREST RANGERS that will be combing our forest.

He is also planning to create state police... If insecurity is defeated, Farmers will go back to farm and produce foods for the citizens.

Tinubu has increased state allocations by 41percentage to encourage more infrastructure in every states.

It's only with good infrastructure that food can circulate and building of local production will be possible.

If local Production is possible.... Economy will be diverted from OIL... AND Naira will start gaining weight.

All these atomic theories did not work for Buhari neither are they working for Tinubu. What moles like you will not admit is the level of looting taking place and the astronomical cost of governance.

Well, you made some good points based on common sense and sheer experience. Otherwise, some of them are spurious assumptions.
A lot of factors have come to shape how women exert their sexuality. The role money play in it cannot be down played. Why do Nigerians find it hard to pay the electricity bill even when it is as cheap as bottles of Guinness stout or even drugs like ice (aka npurummiri)?

Why do we find it hard to return missing items even when we know who owns it but become crybabies when we lose ours? Why is stealing or commiting a crime seen as being "smart"?

For even including electricity bill in this matter spoils everything.
Do you know the sharp practices going on in these distribution companies? And fyi, electricity bill is not cheap where I live. We are just 3 tenants residing in my compound. Meanwhile, the estimated bill send us monthly averages around 25k. That would be around 8k per tenant. Meanwhile we still pay rents ranging from 15k - 20k monthly depending on the size of flat.
Meanwhile, the landlord had paid for prepaid meters long ago. Yet no delivery. The few persons who have prepaid meters often tell tales of how they pay less than 2k monthly since the power supply is erratic. So, they expect me to pay 8k for a service that normally 2k or less?
Prepaid meters is the way to go. If they really bother Abt non payment of bills they would have installed prepaid meters. But you see, estimated bills favours them the most and when a cunning man dies, na cunning man dey bury am

All your points above are purely academic. The real reasons are Corruption in high places.
Obviously, the funds gained due to removal of fuel subsidy should have sufficiently stabilized the economy and the exchange rate. The reality is that most of the rogues who manoeuvred themselves to power are not wasting time in looting the treasury. All those who have post election litigations gave out staggering sum of money to corrupt judges and lawyers in order to acquire favourable judgements. Most state governors have nothing tangible to show on how the initial 5 billion naira palliative was spent. Corruption in high places is destroying the country's economy.
We cannot also ignore the sharp practices at the BDC. How the alhajis have dollars to sell at overbloated rates yet BDC has no dollars must be investigated. Otherwise it is obvious that a lot of racketeering is taking place
