@Pataki

I ve scrolled up and read a few of your post, u really crack me up. You really sound like one of those that call their wifes my Queen which is pretty awful, well if a husband and wife call themselves My Lord or my Queen in the confinement of their bedroom then maybe that is ok
I don't have wives. tongue A husband of only one woman I shall be. grin grin

We will so call eachother whatever we decide is appropriate and right at whatever time and period. I would not be stereotyped to all the singular jargons of Hot, sweetheart, darling, my sunshine, sweety and all those other world wide over-used slogans of name calling in relationships. tongue

why do men want to be called lord?? is there a feeling of power in such a name?? a queen means a women leader basically. but lord means savior and someone to worship. and if your first name aint Jesus and last name Christ I AINT WORSHIPPING YOU!!!!!!!
Ask the queen of England, why she is is referred to and called as Her Royal Majesty. tongue Then you will realize calling names in relationship strengthens the relationship and flows. tongue

oka when you call your woman a queen it doesnt mean that much . well i mean it does mean something but to compare that with the word lord just doesnt cut it. by me calling my husband my lord i get the feeling he is my savior or something or a god. queen and lord are in to different categories.
Are we going to swim into semantics with this topic now? tongue Or I am rather confused now what different categories does a Queen and Lord belong to, which makes it most inappropriate for consenting couples to call themselves?

I still say, I see nothing wrong with the subject matter. tongue

oh heck NAW!!!! i could never call my husband my lord. i might love him but im sorry i just couldnt do that. i hate the feeling of being inferior to anyone and by calling him that it would just add to that. i understand that there are some men you call their woman their queen but that is a whole different story.
Miss you are only inferior simply because you allowed yourself to be inferior to whomever.

Pray tell me, what is the different story when I call my woman, My Queen? Why are you women looking at this matter with your concave lens? huh

jennykadry:
uncle pataki y would she seriously call her hubby my lord?which kain loff nwantiti is that one undecided is she respecting her husband or is she scared of him, which one?abeg that is nonsense pataki
Aunty Jenny, It is both love, respect and admiration she sees in her man. If you truly know the heart of a man, you would know a man inherently respects and values a woman who adores and cherishes him. When it gets overboard, then abuse is likely to set in depending on the character of the man.

It is left on the woman to know how to be moderate when giving out her love, respect, admiration to her man.

I still see nothing wrong with her calling her husband My Lord. Please show me otherwise. grin
RomanceRe: A Wife Referring To Her Husband As "my Lord" by Pataki: 10:08pm On Jun 16, 2008
@ Busta and Jenny,

What is wrong in a woman calling her husband: My Lord? undecided You people just like to take things out of context all the time.

@ Busta,
You are a yoruba woman, are you telling me you cannot call your husband, ''baale ile mi''? grin A man that services you when you need to be serviced.

Na today? grin Journalists criticizes our leaders, I guess they should be banned for their effrontery.

@ Toyin,

I would implore you to edit your post there about your family. I do not know why you have decided to post it here, but please edit it off. I may be hard and all that, but I would not come on nairaland and display your family history here. If I ever harangue you, it is going to be something between you and I.

You may have offended me in times past, but no one has ever heard anything bad about you from me mouth. So kindly erase it off.

Thanks. kiss

Why do some men lead the women in their lives on when they know their relationship ain't going nowhere? which is more masculine, leading her on and not being man enough to tell her it's over or telling her straight up it's over? Could it be that cruelty is part of manhood or that these men actually think it's cool as long as the woman in question is not their relation?
In as much I do not want to attack your person, I am more than convinced you have psychological problems. A high form of malady that cannot be corrected again.

An absolute example to the generation of womanhood that have no brains and wholly senseless. What is it that worries you? What do you have that makes you think you are worth any piece of reasoning or a second look?

You have been going about uttering your manner-less tongue on anything masculine with a devilish inclination, yet you fail to see that you are the temple that the devil/serpent now resides in.

I pity the man who ever makes the lifetime mistake of saying I love you to your kind.

May the devil continue to lead you on. . . . .
RomanceRe: My Possessive Boyfriend by Pataki: 2:58am On Jun 10, 2008
stephanay:
ive been dating my boyfriend for close to 2months now and im sensing some traits of a control freak. he questions every one i \m friends with and tells me who i shld see or not. i don't av a prob wt him aving female friends but he just doesnt want me to av any guy friends and he tells me its a "guy thing"
we got into a big argument lately and he said he desont like d fact that a male friend dropped me off after class one day. he was only trying to help me with transportaion home. and my boyfriend said its because he doenst av a car that i don't want to brek my freindship wt d guy.
ive explained to him that i'll never cheat on him but trust issues keep coming up and i don't know how much of ds i can take.
he loves me very much and he's very caring but he calls me like all the time to find out hw im doing, wants to see me everyday if he can, doesnt like almost all my frinds, even d gals. i first tot this was his way of expressiing love but now,, im feeling choked up! what do i dohuhhuh??
All I know is your own side of the story. No guy chokes on a lady for no reason. There must have been somethings he saw that he has decided to give all this attention all to you.

I do not see you as the all-in-all perfection for this relationship. I am sure you must have your own faults in this relationship.

What else do you want from him? He gives you all the attention a lady would crave for, yet you are complaining he is choking you up. If he had the ''I don't care attitude'' you do be complaining about that as well.

No man is the embodiment of perfection in a relationship. Talk it out with him and do not think the suggestion people proffer here will set your relationship straight.

Until I know his own side of the story, I do not think making a one sided judgment on this matter is worthwhile and appropriate.
