TravelRe: Are Taxis in Lagos Now Safe? by Pataki: 11:22pm On Jun 20, 2008
Yes they are.

I took a taxi last year to MMA, and I really enjoyed the company of the driver and his driving. He was pretty interesting and spoke good English. Never met him before, but I was pretty comfortable telling him to drive me straight to the MMA without mixing words with him.

So YES they are relatively safe.
FamilyRe: Inconceivable by Pataki: 11:13pm On Jun 20, 2008
@ Poster,

You have stated that you are many things to different people. Why portray a sense of arrogance to your mother-in-law to be?

As much as I would say, BE YOURSELF AND ORIGINAL, I think you should not forget that this is a woman you love ( I suppose), and you indeed know you are not giving a good light to her parents, it is best you work on that. Even though I would also state: it is her you are marrying and not her family, and if she loves you the way you are, GOOD LUCK!

At least she must be sensible and reasonable in her opolo.

I have seen a lot of senseless 30 year old married women, even nairaland can bear me with to that. grin embarassed

The poster already has her mind made up.

Why get attention from a fraudulent guy when you know what he was into? Now your conscience comes calling, you dont know what to do?

Walk away from both (the attention giver and the attention denying guy) and give yourself to adequately love and cherish yourself.

@ Cristalz,
Yahoo Yahoo bois are reckless lovers. lipsrsealed

Beware of fraudsters.

Hez a fraud, how can he sincerely love you? undecided
Are fraudsters not human beings? They are as well created to love too abi?. grin

@ Poster,

Use your head and not your heart.

Twisting your emotional life between two different men is dangerous. If he willingly told you his profession, I would suggest you give yourself some reasonable distance and at least ensure he is out of his fraudulent lifestyle before committing yourself emotionally to him.

Life is not always about my boyfriend is this, my boyfriend is that.
RomanceRe: Are Men More Likely To Put Up With Nonsense From Pretty Girls? by Pataki: 8:23pm On Jun 18, 2008
studentetc:
Some guys consider a girl ugly from the face, but when you look at the shape, the oranges and back axle, then she is not ugly. after all you only have to switch off the light!
Switching off the light does not remove the memory of the face from your mind! Why settle for a worwor face girl in th first place? undecided

@ topic,

There is a limit to which every reasonable and sensible man can tolerate nonsense from a pretty girl. If she persists with it and thinks her beauty will redeem her from whatever I find appropriate in me dark mind to do, then she is a practical joke.

RomanceRe: A Wife Referring To Her Husband As "my Lord" by Pataki: 2:44am On Jun 17, 2008
@ Busta,

How I intend to run my family is not an obligation for me to disclose on the forum.

Different swings for different couples. Some women can bear calling their husbands My Lord, some men cannot bear their wives calling them such.

One of my late grandfather's friends has been married for over fifty years now. Both couples call themselves by daddy and mummy in the house. Does it augur well to my taste? Hell NO. But it most suits them over their years of marriage.

My Lord, I find nothing distasteful with it. Simple!

Would you have found it sweet, if she was calling her husband: names which were otherwise? huh
RomanceRe: A Wife Referring To Her Husband As "my Lord" by Pataki: 2:27am On Jun 17, 2008
@ Busta,

What do you want her to call him? My Idiot? huh

Whatever she so decides to call her husband in her matrimonial home is her own prerogative and mutual understanding with her husband simple!

I think I am through with this matter. sad

What was the rationale behind locking the thread in the first instance? It was locked, some posts were deleted therein, and yet the main reason why the discourse deviated is still left hanging.

ABC is failing some people big time.

@Pataki
if you need to be called Lord to feel like a man, then it means that inside you are a ten year old boy. a real man needs no title to know his authority.
Onyinye, you really need to step it slow when it comes to dishing out insults, simply because my post does not correspond to your demands. I ma let this one slide off easily. wink

sorry but there is no way in the world i would call my man my lord. he is not my savior just my husband. i love him but sorry it aint happening.

mind you that the queen of England has no power at all. you might want a different example.
The example I stated, was in direct response to you input then. If it rocks your boat not to call him My Lord, all well and good. If a woman so decides to call her man, monkey in place of honey, would it bother you? grin
