A young Nigerian woman has reportedly died after she was allegedly abducted, tortured and starved by armed group in Libya, Reports.
According to a Nigerian Facebook user, Vahalla Soja, Who Notified , And He posted the video on Monday, July 19, the deceased and some other African migrants were on their way to Libya when their vehicle broke down at Qatrun, a village in the Murzuq District in Southern Libya, on the main road to Chad and Niger.
The migrants were said to have been abducted by some criminals and detained in a kind of prison called 'Tranki' in Sabha, Southwestern Libya, where they were tortured and starved.
The abductors allegedly demanded a ransom of 8,500 Iraqi Dinars (N2.3m) each from the victims as condition for their release.
"We just lost this girl to the hands of tranki in sabha they were coming to Libya and their car broke down at gatron so people came and carried them to sabha and put them in tranki demanding for 8,500dinars each with beatings and starvation and this lady died yesterday." Vahalla wrote.
According to reports, these armed groups including smugglers and Africans, target small convoys of migrants, steal their possessions and then threaten their lives unless a ransom is paid.
In 2018, one Mulugeta from Eritrea was abducted by an armed group who demanded ransom. His family raised the money by selling their house and jewellery after the kidnappers sent the family a photo of Mulugeta being tortured. Mulugeta was finally released months later after paying $18,400 to five different smugglers.

ogbiwa: A boxer who killed his brother with a single punch has been jailed for five years and two months.
Dominic Robson has been jailed for manslaughter after he killed his brother, Jordan Bell, outside a bar in Sunderland in July last year.
Robson, 26, had admitted manslaughter earlier this year, claiming he had acted in self-defence.
It is claimed that Robson became annoyed when Mr Bell, 27, started making "inappropriate sexual comments" about Robson's girlfriend.
The brothers had been having a drink together and were joined by Robson's girlfriend, and he became annoyed when Mr Bell began making comments or jokes towards her.
A bouncer, who saw the incident, claimed the brothers were engaged in a heated argument and Robson was "being aggressive" and was annoyed at certain inappropriate sexual comments Mr Bell had made to his girlfriend.
Newcastle Crown Court heard that once outside the pub, Robson swung a punch at his brother, knocking him to the ground.
The attack was caught on CCTV and a member of the public told police he was walking along the street when he heard a thud behind him.
The passerby turned to see a man lying on the floor with blood coming from his ears.
Robson walked away from the scene with his girlfriend. After his arrest, he told police his brother had made sexual jokes towards his girlfriend.
Mr Bell was rushed to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle where it was found he had suffered "catastrophic" brain injuries when his head crashed against the concrete.
He died in hospital two weeks after the attack on July 10.
Newcastle Crown Court heard that former boxer Robson was handed a caution in 2019 after he threw a punch at someone during an argument.
As he was sentenced, Judge Moreland said Mr Bell was vulnerable due to being drunk.
She said: "I have heard victim personal statements from his mother and sister, also your relatives and they have spoken of the ordeal they have suffered and the dreadful grief.
"There is no sentence the court can impose that will lessen that grief."
Earlier this year Detective Inspector Phil Bowles, of Northumbria Police, said: "This is a tragic case that once again highlights the horrendous and irreversible consequences that throwing a punch can have.
"Earlier that evening, both brothers were enjoying a beer together but what began as a friendly catch-up turned into a nightmare.
"Robson made a choice when turning to violence and sadly that decision has had heartbreaking consequences."
The court had heard that the pair are brothers but grew up after after they were adopted by different families when they were young.

I have finally come to the conclusion that 70 percentage of rape allegations are false including chidima's claim. Many women are weaponizing rape as a tool against men. How can a girl of 21 book an hotel room with fake ID with a man 50, drugged him before strangling and stabbing him multiple times (this can't be self defence intent because self defense is only used to incapacitate the person for escape route), take his atm card and had the guts to withdraw a huge sum of money. And you claim he was trying to rape you. It's not just logical. No sane person would believe her claim. She murdered the man in cold blood and is trying to weaponize rape so she would get a lighter sentence.
A policeman was filmed fighting a bus conductor in Ikorodu at about 5:30pm on Saturday, June 19.
According to eyewitnesses, the policeman wanted to ride in the bus for free as a "staff" but the bus driver and conductor insisted they no longer carry staff for free "since the government does not pity poor people that use danfo for business and keep increasing the cost of petrol."
The policeman then allegedly became aggressive and put hands on the conductor.
