amen,My Doc.said said I should always hv bed rest due to the nature of my body, but last week weekend was my closed friend wedding of which hv been with her since Thursday but i didn't do any work except Friday night bridal shower and Saturday......He said that's what caused it

If the above is the reason; once you test positive commence Progesterone... .

Thanks, am yet to take my TT injection ,though in my 9weeks i had witlow, so one of my nurse inject me tt injection ,and i took second dose 4weeks after. Though my dr said i will still take.i hope it wont be overdose o....

Maybe he missed the part you told him you had one and the interval was 4weeks.
My dear, your next dose is 6months later.
Which I believe falls under your gestational period, mine will be a month after delivery.

Phew! Finally I'm home! No matter the comfort in the hospital, it can never be like home. I no gree again, had to be discharged by force. After all, all my drips don finish. The remaining injections, mumsy go give me for house.

so yesterday 16th of november was my first Dr visit@21 WEEKS and my dr asked if i have taken anti malaria and i said no. so she gave me these drugs prescription FANSIDAR AND TAB VIT BIO .
please my question is this is it safe @21 weeks prego and i did not even complain of any symptoms to her far...
Note: i know Fansidar is for malaria but what is "tab vit bio" meant for

My ANC WAS yesterday, had my second TT injection, was given Fansidar too @18weeks, I took it this morning.
Nothing more.
Don't know about VitB complex

My wee man made his grand entrance at about 3:31pm today weighing in at 3.11kg thru VD with little tear. Baby and momma doing well. All glory to God. It finally ended in praise. I’m great full oh Lord. I wish the remaining mamas safe delivery

1) I thought normal procedure is 48 hours with normal delivery in order to monitor both mother and especially baby and to conduct necessary test on baby before been discharged (that was what d private hospital i put to bed did).

2) Please how much is scan and other tests, and does NHIS cover scan and other test.

I also love Garki because they are well detailed and well staffed, I usually use their pediatricians for daughter and also immunization.

I will register next week hopefully and share my ANC experience.

I have no idea about holding hours after delivery, it's an experienced I witnessed and asked the Doctors why, and was told the 6hours monitor thing... can't say it's their standard, but my SIL was discharged in their sister hospital in 12hours.

I don't remember if paid for initial tests on registration, but all scans are paid for on self paid. It is 4200 per scan.
I guess NHIS covers all payments.

Eps sends my Documents from Lagos to Abuja for N2,000 and it is personal delivery at the door step. Letters and paper docs. Package weighing about 1kg may be up to 5,000 naira or same 2,000 naira

From one Pharmacy on the island, near my office 30 tablets of pregnacare original N4,800
From wellness pharmacy in Ogudu. 30 tablets of pregnacare original N4,100
From Enu- Owa idumota local drug stores by my brothers 30 tablets of pregnacare original N3500
From Boluke pharmacy 30 tablets of pregnacare original N3,200

I decide to try UK vitabiotics that actually produce pregnacare. From Amazon UK, 90 tablets of pregnacare original was £8 or N4000
You can see the difference.


Also 30 tablets of pregnacare max in Nigeria is N9000
But bought 84 tablets of pregnacare max for £14 or N7000
On pregnacare Max alone, I've saved N20,000

I buy most of my things online and have it shipped to Nigeria.
Volume Pharmacy seems to be the cheapest, but they can do more

Second option is always good Momma.
I did my first ANC in Garki Specialist Hospital 7 years ago, then it was great. I didn't Birth there... I would have, but i pursued some papers for my kid.

About your concerns:
1. If they discharge few hours after delivery- I witness this in their NISA branch, my SIL had a Baby at 11pm, by 10am we were discharged.... due to lack of space. But it is standard procedure on safe delivery for mother and child to be discharged 6 hours after normal birth with no complication. No offense taken on our side.
2. No scanning centre? Absolutely false!
Had a scan on my last appointment.

For me, I will birth at Garki because am pro Public Hospital. I want to find that momma that said people that birth away from NHIS centre can get a refund.... need more details.

My reasons why I like Garki,
1. Computerised medical system, no room for error.
2. The lab is super.
3. Staff are cautious... but their NHIS unit is crazy... had a bad experience so I moved. Am on self paid there.
4. Different packages of ANC
a. Regular Doctors at 40k
b. Senior Reg at 60k
c. Consultant at 100k
d. Vip at 150k

Tomorrow is my ANC, let me know what ever you want to know more so I can ask.
