nigeriancuban: that's the aftermath of a niaja used car but although not that it isn't expected though but I see u ve spent a lot on that ride and who knows the once to come up even after you fix these faults.my advice, just fix these things up and sell it off just the same way you bought it,I'm pretty optimistic that an engine fault is on its way too and trust me these amount spent would be peanuts compared to what you will spend on any engine saga not in all cases.as long as he had it scanned,i think he will be fine. however,am bothered as to who is 'handling' the 'bad' parts purchase |

kayswag100: I had to buy Car Wax for 950 as my regular car wash guy didn't have same.
Since I now own mine, I take it along whenever I visit a car wash. The results are UNBELIEVABLE!
My red car seemed brand new; even after rain beat it. The wax seems to have water proof quality as water just bounces of it and dries.
DIY is quite tedious! did you pay the dude some extra cash to do the job or is it same cost as washin? what brand of wax did u buy? i use the abro |

cana882: I am a desperate job seeker haven completed my NYSC early this year.
I saw a job advert and applied for it. All criteria and requirements were met except for the fact that they wanted a first class or second class upper applicant while I graduated with second class lower (though from a reputable university in ghana).
I went ahead and filled in "second class upper" and I got an sms this morning inviting me for an aptitude test.
Like I earlier said, i'm desperate and would love to have this job but don't know if I should still go for the test or not.
Please advice I will advise you to go.The criteria placed online may just have been a method to sieve off candidates as most recruiters do not have the resources to run a test for all the 2.2s and 3rd class in the applicants market. You have as degree is what matters,so be smart, intelligent ,ensure u blast their test and most importantly open up before they find out themselves. Besides,I don't know what kind of life u lived while in school, but if you schooled in this part of the continent, there could be tmany reasons an average student will not make a 2.1. abatically: I don't see the need here. I mean u spend a lot of time waxing ur car and then try to drive out and it starts raining. U drive through puddle and mud coupled with all the dust. By the time u get back home ur car is already a mess. Abroad I can have my car unwashed for up to 2 weeks and it will remain shining, but here u need to each ur cars everyday. well...you are correct. However,do not forget that waxing a car is not for the looks but also to keep your paint as original as it was bought. |

pato405: What do you expect from nonentities ?
Just for the records, I'm not selling my car to OP, I WILL NOT & NEVER sell such a car that has been so faithful and reliable. I can only offer him a ride in it/allow him inspect engine sound etc... and that's about as much as I can do to prove to him it's not a bad car as peddled by some retarded nitwits here. I'm only doing that favor because, as I noted earlier, I've been in his shoes before, - having limited funds but really want an SUV and nothing less. Others might have driven a sorrow-ladden ford, But sorry, mine has been sweet, infact sweeter than any car anyone can ever propose to me. FULLSTOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How old r you? you sound like you inherited that car becos you kind of find it difficult to engage a healthy convo. read my post again, this time s.l.o.w.l.y |

billy187: Haha..good question-its the same here in Ghana! I took my car for a wash quite a while ago and asked for a wax. The fellow, after musing on what the hell I meant, picked up a bucket of soapy water and looked at me, expecting some sort of '''aha, ya.''' After the wash, I took my car back home: defeated.
I used to wax my old car, a Suburban- till I could see my hideous face looking back at me through the metal work . That was a almost a day's worth of muscle straining work, considering the sheer size of the truck. But I just cant make myself polish my much tinier present car. Laziness, abi? i feel your pain bro......laziness, hell yeah! |
Car Talk › Why Dont We Wax Our Cars In Nigeria? by patlead(op): 5:39pm On Aug 31, 2015 |
I have noticed that the average Nigerian car wash only just washes people's car, they do not wax it for better result.
what is responsible for this?
is it the fee people pay for the service, the cost of buying car waxes or just damn right ignorance? or is is that i go to the wrong car wash centres
If i want to wax, i will have to DIY.......omo its tasking. |

Hi Ibro, Good Job here.
I have a question, if one buys a car from an individual who did not change nor renew the car documents from the name of the first owner who bought it toks and the document has now expired.
what is the procedure to change the documentation to my name. Since the owner/ seller's(second owner) did not change the documentation to his name.
do i need to involve the first owner in the documentation (note that i have called his number on the document and he confirmed that the second owner is not owing him any dime).
Thanks for your response. |

Gurus and experienced nissan folks in the house, am looking to make a choice between the 2001 altima and the 2000 Primera(not the sport trim).
I have heard a lot about Nissans generally, however I don't want to go by hearsays.
Are these cars reliable and easy to maintain,i drive like 6hours everyday within Lagos.if yes, which of the two cars would be the better option?
NB: both vehicles are tokunbos |
Car Talk › Re: Which Is Better? by patlead(op): 8:49pm On Jul 26, 2015 |
ophilly: Camry is it! If maintenance costs, reliability, and fuel economy are your indices for comparison, then Camry comes tops. The fuel economy of Honda City is better but the reason for that is obvious, it is a smaller car 1.5cc compared to Camry's 2.2cc. Thank me later. Thanks for your comments.....the city looks more modern than the Camry |

Hi, as an everyday driver spending about 6-7hours in traffic , which would you advise one can get between a naija used Honda city 2007 and a naija Toyota Camry 2001.both vehicles are in pristine condition.
Cost of maintenance, reliability, fuel efficiency are the most important factors.
Thanks for your comments |
