Good morning. Honestly, I would have loved to do that as I sure understand the effect of pictures on an ad. But the owner didn't want me to because she claim she doesn't want people in the neighborhood to start asking her unnecessary questions. If you'll like an inspection anytime, I can arrange that so you can even meet the owner.
why i say this is because an average buyer might not be on ground to check, so the picture will give a better indication afterwards he or she can arrange for a friend or relative to help with the viewing. is the price firm or can we haggle it, lets say 10million?

Unfortunately I can't and won't travel to Lagos. It is their mistake so they should look for a way out. It is either I leave it or correct it in the U.K but I won't go there.
My advice to you is make all corrections and clarifiation in Nigeria before travelling, I am sure you won't wat to arrive here and be told it can only be corrected in country of application.

Pls guys I got my visa lastweek but I just noticed that the bank statement I printed out when applying is missing.. Would I need to show the immigration officers at the airport? Or is this normal?
First congrats on having your visa issued, if you cant find the statement of account then print another one, they ask random questions or wont ask any so its best you have all documentation needed if asked. cheers

I will be going to Leeds this year for my postgraduate studies. So, please can someone help me out. Basically, what I am saying is can i volunteer as a student even if there is no pay?
Thanks.
Yes you can work for an NGO, but bear in mind even without pay you must not exceed the 20 hrs. Cheers

Thanks.

However, in my CAS, my school referred to itself as HEI. and it fully meets ur definitn of UK education provider and not that of HEI, as explained by you.
you wanted clarification between UK Education Provider and Overseas Higher Education Institution, if in the course of filling the form you find a place where they ask a question on who you paid accommodation or any fees to then you should choose UK Education Provider, i don't know what the form is like now but i do know know last year there was no HEI, it was just either the UK Education Provider or Overseas Higher Education Institution.

Hello Guys,

Quick one...Pls what's the difference between uk education provider and overseas higher education institution?

Searched online..can't find anything useful...

Thanks in advance...
UK education provider is the UK university, college etc,u will be studying at basically should be a wholly registered UK university, while overseas higher education institution also is a UK university, college, etc but is not wholly a UK institution example is if there is a university of lagos london campus then it's regarded as overseas higher education provider. Cheers

hahaha! I know of many instances and people who add to sir. And how do u rule that I schooled in Ghana. Which school and year are u talking about cos. It's hard to spot a foreign student in Nigerian University. The Nigerian education system has been dwindling ever since.. Ghana has always been a better choice.
Its simple you make a 3rd class in any university be it in USA, you must first enrol for a PGD and pass, before starting any PG course, same way some universities only allow student with a 2:1 apply to them, you dont expect to be admitted with any grade lower than a 2:1 in such university. its not hard to spot a foreign student in Nigeria, its just easier to spot a Nigerian student in Ghana because of the population.

Mr I passed through jamb. And jamb is a scam and a hogwash. It's just like the Nigerian neco that also needs to be scrapped. alot of students make As in it but have problems making Cs in waec.. Why? .. Neco is hardly accepted cos the standard and image is questionable. It's only the new generation schools that want your money that accept it. In a right setting it suppose to be that you make your necessary waec papers. You proceed to the uni for post ume. I repeat jamb is a scam and a hogwash. It has not done anything good to the Nigerian educational system. And not having strike and finishing through the calendar year alone in contrast to Nigeria. Should make you know that there is something wrong with the Nigerian educational system. Let me not even use that as a merit. Ghanaian schools can boast of a proper learning environment. Something a lot of Nigerian schools lack.
In case you don't know the bulk of Nigerian students in Ghana are either University rejects or those that could not meet up with the academic demands of their study in Nigerian Universities and were withdrawn, they head to Ghana and in less than 3 years make it back a graduate or should i put properly half baked graduates. check facts around the world you see Nigerian students most graduated from Nigerian universities breaking records in Universities in their post graduate study. very soon Someone from a Cotonou university will also start comparing Nigerian educational system with that obtainable there.

I never said that the Nigerian educational system is for lazy minds. And point of correction your statement is not true of Ghana ranking high in the number of illegal universities in west Africa. Cos there is no ranking of such. The only one is a list of illegal schools in the country. Of which Nigeria is not exempted. Nigeria is not an attractive educational destination cos things are not right in that sector . If it were. there will be foreigners troopin in. Today a lot of countries you go with a Nigerian degree you need to do some additional course to attach before they take you
That is a big lie, you do not do additional courses to attach to any Nigerian degree for further studies in any country as long as you meet the entry requirement in the first instance, this is simple you stay in Ghana and acquire your Ashanti gold plated degree and allow those you desire a UK degree acquire theirs. And i don't know about now but when i was in the university in Nigeria we had a lot of Cameroonian, Malian, and Ghanaian students studying there on scholarship from their various Countries. Yes Nigerian Education is dwindling but no way has it gone below that of Ghana yet.

Mr what are u sayinghuh That Ghana education is lower than what is obtainable in Nigeria. huh The joke is on you. You see its because it's easier to enter Ghanaian schools too. If I may ask. What is the use of jamb if a student will do a post ume?? If not to just extort students. Pls Don't start with that comparison. Nigerians that understand quality know better
The use of Jamb is to select the best set of students, and each University further prone this down by way of post UME as they cant admit all that chose the Uni, this are just checks and balances to ensure they comply to the NUC quota, there is no basis for comparison between Nigerian and Ghanaian educational system, you might talk about about the ease of entry, assurance of graduation year in universities in Ghana as they admit at will and have no strike because the international students( mostly Nigerians) pay them more than the education is worth.

u are in regional maritime University I guess. That dude has no idea of what he is saying. That school is hot cake
Alot of high ranking Nigerians in Navy and other outfits come there to do courses to boost their qualifications. The Ghanaian educational sector is not for lazy brains
And the Nigerian Educational system is for lazy brains? hope you know Ghana currently ranks high in the number of illegal universities in west Africa, The entry level into High ranking universities in Nigeria is way higher than that of Ghanaian universities, and i repeat Ghanaian education is poo because i have never met a seasoned graduate from any of its Universities.

lol I was in Nigeria before moving over there, was doing mechanical engineering in unilag. Left that to do marine engineering. There are just two standard maritime schools recognised by IMO in africa, ghana and egypt. Egypt is too far so I had to settle with ghana, and you believe most nigerians who schools in ghana go there cause of the easy requirements and the standard is poo. Well I can only speak for myself.
That you left your purported studies in Unilag to study maritime related course in Ghana should tell you we all have choices and options, so dont try to be the choice police, follow your own choice through and make the best in your chosen career path.

Looking for a scholarship. And even if I don't get my parents can afford it. http://www.u-tokyo.ac.jp/en/prospective-students/tuition_fees.html, that's a link to the university of tokyo showing their fees for international students do the conversion and you will see its far more cheaper than schooling in the UK. still doing my research though.
I have read through your posts and i don't seem to understand your basis, you have no standing academically yet to compare education in various country, for a start you are studying in Ghana where the education is poo and far below what is obtainable in Nigeria, most of the students in Ghana head that way because of the ease of admission and the low level of entry requirements, Yes UK education is expensive and no guarantee of stay after graduating, but no one ever said graduating in a UK university translates to work, most student schooling here don't even want to stay, many want to go home afterwards, so its relative. Pls do your research very well and soundly and you will see Tokyo is not the best city to live in as a student, the standard of living is so high it will be best you pay high fees and augment with the living expenses in another country.

I'm new here. Please I need your advice. During my application to my college I was placed on a condition to give them a bank statement before I can get an unconditional offer. I sent them my uncles bank statement and also a reference letter. Now I have my CAS and paid full tuition. But I'm being told the British Embassy would reject the application if I use my uncles bank statement. Now I'm going to transfer the money into my account but my CAS letter already has his name on it. Can I still go ahead and use my statement backing it up with a letter?
Have the money in your own account or if your uncle is your legal guardian, this entails you showing documents to prove he is your legal guardian. You should contact your college and have them send over another CAS if you will be will be using your own account.Best of luck

Thank you. I'd rather pay a higher amount with the certainty that the passport photographs will come out right. Also, I have read on a few places online that the visa processing is faster at the Ikeja center than the VI center. Do you know if this is true?
Yes it's best to have the passport there as they are abreast with the specification more than neighbourhood photo shops, but they are not perfect and can also make mistakes, so look at the passport before they print, about ikeja being faster, yes I agree it is faster than the VI center. Best of luck

@justwise, d school instructed dat l hav to travel to close countries where Estonia embassy exist, in which dey stated Uk, Egypt, Georgia, Turkey, Italy nd Indian. But for me, UK is d closest nd cheapest. Wot l dont kno is if l stand a chance to get a uk visa as my elder brother is d only sole sponsor. More responses wud be appreciated... Thanks
It will be best for you to apply in Egypt, I was going to study in Estonia before changed my mind and chose UK. Book a cheap h otel or bed and breakfast close to the embassy, when you submit the application you can travel back to nigeria and you will be notified if the application is successful or not, if it is you have to travel back to get the visa affixed to your passport, you can also decide to stay and wait for the result but can take up to 2 months . Pls notethis info were all I gathered in the year 2013, certain procedure may have changed. Contact the embassy in Egypt or better still call them.

Please Help!

My daughter and I both have visa so I applied for 6mths for my son you didn't have because I didn't have enough money. He has been given the visa today but now I want to reapply for a 2 yr visa even asap even though he is yet to make his first trip. I want to do the 2 yr because u don't want to very soon go through application stress again.

1. Can I reapply for 2 yr on top of the 6mths he is yet to use?

2. What reason do I give for the extension?

I will appreciate you advice.
My advice is,you better make do with the 6months and apply for 2 years after it expires, your desperation might lead to the existing visa being cancelled,as you just want to give the visa officer reasons to doubt your initial application.
