Hello People.
Please how long does it take to get a NI number ? I've started the application for like 2weeks now. I'm yet to get an interview date talk less of the number.
You call in and give them your information within 7-10 days you should get the forms sent over to your address, you fill and send back to them(you include copy of visa and passport data page)then within 2-6 weeks you get your NI number.
If you have called them for more than 10 days now and still you haven't received your form, you will have to cal back and start the process again.

Hello all,

I need your help, I'm planning to travel to uk in September for my MSc in university of manchester, i will like know how much i will need to put into my account for 28 days which the British High Commission require every student to have for Maintenance and Accommodation?. I was told London Maintenance and Accommodation is different from outside London.. Thank you for your help
It all depends on the prevailing factors generic to your situation, for instance if you pay half or some part of the fees you must have the remaining fees and your living cost all in the account for a minimum consecutive 28days period, yes Manchester is outside the inner. London boroughs so you have a more reduced living cost,go thru your university wedsite or a few pages back on this thread you will find all the info you need.

To God be the glory, I got our family tourist uk visa today. I say thank you to all the gurus in the house, this is my 1st UK visa application, and God made it possible.

I want to say a special thank you to Patos 231 cos of the encouragement I got tru his post about UKVI approval letter. I submitted on the 4th of Feb and got a message on d 10th frm teleperformance that my visa application has been assessed and a decision reached. I lost hope immediately cos I did not get approval mail from UKVI but picked up again after reading patos231, ironbender and others post on such mail. After receiving the application ready for collection mail, my husband went to pick it up, and behold we all got our visa. For those that dint get approval mail, never loose hope, trust in God, it's actually sent randomly, I dint get it but tanks to God, got my visa
Congrats,enjoy your trip.

If the visas are expired, why are you so desparate to get the passport back?
Something does not add up here in the story.

You will have to question officials at Nigerian authorities to see if it can be returned.
Rember if UKBA have said that fraud is involved then Nigerian police could become involved when you go to collect the passport,
are you ready for that?
So what are you implying?that he let the embassy have the passport or what?whatever the case maybe they don't have the right to hold on to his passport be it expired or fake even. They will have to hand it over to the relevant authority who will in then contact the applicant if need be.

@justwise please I need your suggestions urgently..I'm currently in london on a 6months visa if you could remember , I'm staying with a relation of mine at the moment.. I'm thinking about staying in the country but they were recommending i have to stay that you must get a student visa which will help you in terms of jobs, accommodations, freedom etc... I'm a kind of football loving person I'd love to take that as a career as well.. So the debate is now on if should apply for a school with I'd love the course to Sports Science ( na that wan my head fit carry) well it sound silly, but I'm being honest here, I don't want to be among the students that misses classes or stop studying while staying in the country... Studying in the university can even give me the chance of being in the sch team which who knows you might lucky enough to get teams from top or little divisions that loves the way you play etc.. So ill need your thoughts towards this thank you
Please if you are in the UK on a visiting visa don't overstay, you will have to apply for a student visa from Nigeria, yes you can study any course you so wish as long as you have the prerequisite to do so.

Hello, its good you want to start the whole admission process early,I will advice you do a search using Google, type the likely programmes you will get a list of universities in the UK that offer them, you can then narrow your search down by the most desirable city etc.
Best of luck,i also advice you use this few months to learn one craft it sure will come in handy when you arrive here.

Engrtemmy:
If you had paid proper attention to what I wrote, you would have noticed I was in 200L then. In what particular course did you write a test when you were in 200L? There were no tests for the two electrical courses. There wasn't any test for strength of materials, there was no test for olagbegis course. CHE222 had no test. Engineering drawing, no test. Even the test we did in aravie's course wasn't used. The two engineering mathematics, no test.

So bro, I know what I'm saying and I graduated during the 2012/2013 session.

More so, I can conveniently count the number of tests I did till I graduated. Same with my sister department. So, try to exercise more caution before you tag someone else's experience super story.
i guess you over played and didn't take note of test dates,I graduated 2009/2010 session, there is always Engr drawing test,CPE,ENS,MEE.maybe they stopped after I graduated and boy don't tell me nothing about caution your experience might be super story to me,it still is super story to me.
EducationRe: How I Graduated With A Cumulative GPA Of 4.02. My Mistakes, My Lessons. by pato231(m): 8:35am On Jan 04, 2015
@Engrtemmy
What year did you graduate from Uniben?this your super story is getting more interesting,I graduated from the faculty of Engineering and I did write couple of tests in most of my courses,be more specific about your department cos my department do have regular tests done, you can't generalise the whole faculty with the modus of your department.

There're so many studio rooms in Gillingham.
You might be on 3 days a week. That's what most people are on, even undergraduates.
that will be great,i will be glad if its just 3 days a week.
i know living close to the school has its own added advantage so i will look up more places.
remember to notify me when u are back bro.

Yep, Gillingham residential area is closer to the school than chatham residential area.
When searching, remember to search within close radius to the campus postcode
e no go easy o walking 35 mins,i have seen lots of accommodation my problem is sharing toilets,i rather live in London and arrive medway daily,i am also hoping i don't have lectures 5 days of the week,i know PG classes are not all days of the week,i will view the ones i have made appointment with the landlords/agents on Monday, then decide fully. Thanks bro.

It was cool bro, cold dey too much here now. I will be back on the 5th. What are the advantages of booking a one way ticket? I just did and I am regretting since a return ticket is cheaper and also I feel they may tackle me at the airport.
No one can tackle you at the airport,it's standard issue once your visa validity is longer than 12 months.the advantage fore is that I won't have to pay date change fee or price difference when I intend traveling back with the return.in the long run you will have paid for same ticket cost even if split one way or return.

I have never gone through chatham station. I think it's farther from the school than Gillingham station.
Use Google to plan your journey and also check which station is closest so you know where to stop.
Arriva buses pass in front of Gillingham station.

Also, have you made arrangement for accommodation as it seems you haven't and you probably should be heading to your house rather than the school.
School reopens on the 5th you know
Lol,i will make accomodation plans in the first week,i want to be on ground to do so,in the mean time will commute from london victoria to uni for a week then settle accomodation stuff. Thanks man

Transactions take 1 day to reflect at Zenith. So if I pay in anything now, it won't reflect on the statement till tomorrow.

However, I think there was a 105 deduction yesterday that'd reflect today. I guess that should suffice(?) Also, there is always closing and opening balance at the top and their respective dates too.

Thanks.
Yes the 105 deduction is good.
