Pls do you know if those passport photo stands operate around teleperformance ikeja,I will be submitting tomorrow,took passports already from 2 different passport shop around my area but I am just not convinced they got the dimensions correct.it will best to snap around the VAC cos they are more updated with the spec.wish me luck bro.

Thanks,so I just fill in the fees I need for my maintenance and convert or I fill the total money in my account,my account has way over my maintenance fee which is just the money I need to show cos I have paid my full tuition fee.

Do not take this sitting down,they assumed the certificates are all fake so you should do all to prove them wrong and get it back,you should have been more proactive and resilient.You should have had a lawyer to them requesting they return the certificates,they have no right to hold on to the certificate if they are all original,and if its fake they are obligated to hand them over to the police who will arrest and prosecute.Waec will never issue you another certificate,at best you can get a ctc.

You are welcome,i also think it shows a bit of seriousness on ones part to be a genuine student and follow thru on the course when in UK,i paid because of the 5% fee reduction on payment of complete fee and i had money in 2 accounts so it was safer i pay all with the other account and use the other to show maintenance money.

@all, I applied for MSC management @ Salford Uni on Sunday 2nd November and they gave me a conditional admission on Tuesday 4th November. I'm a bit worried about how fast the process went and if they really accessed my application effectively. I was informed to pay 4400 British pounds to make my offer unconditional and to get ma CAS. Please is this really how long it takes? How long does it take for one to get CAS after payment? Is it advisable to pay the full tuition fee?. Thanks

When you applied you submitted your academic qualifications online right,they sure will have assessed you based on the qualification you filled you have and submitted.Yes you have to make some deposit of your fees to guarantee your place and receive your CAS which is needed in applying for the visa.My CAS was issued same day the university confirmed payment,but i think it varies,but should be maximum 5 days,i paid my full fees,and i know lots of people here who also did,it all depends on you but either way ensure you have the remaining fees plus maintenance money in your bank account if you pay only the 4400 pounds deposit.

I applied for a general visit Visa last week and got an email from abuja.visaenquiries@fco.gov.uk stating that
"Your application has been approved and the visa has been issued. We aim to return passports to the VAC within two working days..."

This morning, I got an email from tpcontact.co.uk stating that "UK Visas & Immigration has now assessed your UK visa application and made a decision. Your documents and the decision will be sent back to the either the UK Visa Application Centre where you applied, where we will contact you by email over the next few days to collect them, or if you are using the courier return service, will be sent directly back to the address you provided.

What do these 2 seperate emails mean? Please kindly advice.

simply means your visa has been approved.the email from tpcontact.co.uk is just to notify you also,you should work with the approved email received from abuja.visaenquiries@fco.gov.uk....congrats and thank you for gate crashing on the UK student visa thread

The 180 is the total credit of all modules,i still don't know why its on my CAS,as i read on this thread that all information in the CAS should be copied,don't you think its safer i input the course as stated in the CAS,or should i confirm from the international office about this?

@justwise they didn't mention anything about running the account,besides i was told that in as much as I have paid more that half my fees and hold my maintenance fee,i am more than qualified for a visa,i even called my schools registrar about whether my mum should pay it in bulk or in splits,he said there was no where it was stated in the immigration laws that states that an intending student must run and account,he went on further to state that so far the student is able to show the equivalent of his maintenance fee for 28days,thats all that counts and not the history of the account.

You have a good chance at this,but the only problem i see is your academic progression,you have a certificate in computer studies,now going for a business related course,prove your reasons beyond reasonable doubt.my own 2cent:dont allow some half baked lawyers put you in more precarious situation by submitting documents not requested.this forum has all the expert because you deal with people based on their experiences.

sorry to hear about the visa denial,from my follow ups here and experiences i have read i think you have a very good chance at the appeal if
1-the 12500pounds you have in your account does not include maintenance money and fees balance remaining or have you paid all your fees prior?
2-you made the right calculations on the location of your university,if its inside or outside the inner London boroughs.
3-dont compound the review process,deal with only the questions raise by the ECO and try as much as possible to prove you are a genuine student.

sorry about the denial,i dont think in my own opinion you need a review,applying will make the whole process faster.
1-The first mistake you did was not sending UKBA your result via PTE online portal where you also accessed your result from,PTE is sent to UKBA online first then also a printed copy attached to your application so do this in the next application.

2-As you have stated your reason for being a genuine student as against what they think,write out all your points and your educational path and also why you are undertaking a different course after your degree.
this should help you and i am most certain the visa will be granted this time,this 2 points they raised is not a big of an issue its what you can counter them on.so apply again,send your PTE result to UKBA online first then print and attach a copy in your application then write a comprehensive reason why you are a genuine student.

spikesC: Yes it's possible, but solely depends on your capability.
If you can get to the Greenwich campus easily, they have a school bus that goes from there to Medway regularly. Though you'll have to compare your timetable and the departure times of the bus.

Or, you can go by train easily to the Gillingham station. Though you'll have to take a 35mins walk down to school or take a bus.

Yes, you can get such rooms but it's very few and most times it's the same cost as a normal rental

Yes, am also at Medway. The environment is quite good. A bit countryside and a bit urban.
It's not as busy as London but night life is good.
It's a student area, as there're 3 universities and 2 colleges around here, so there would never be a dull moment

thats nice @spikesC i will also be at medway campus in january,do you think i can commute from london to the university daily as my wife lives in london and will want to stay with her,if thats not possible can one get a short stay accomodation where i can stay just monday to friday and go home weekends.thanks bro

i want to know if have almost double the maintenance money in my account be an issue,i will be applying with my domiciliary account and i have over 25,000 dollars which when converted is almost 15,000 pounds,i have paid school fees in full.so i need to show only maintenance money,the money has been in my account since April.what do you suggest sir,move some money or just leave them...Thank you

i have a few questions i need clarifications on,i will be going for my Msc in january 2015 bit i already have my offer letter and will be pating fees soon.
1--i have my maintenance money already in my account since april 2014. will having money too long not be an issue
2-i have a US dollar domiciliary account with stanbic ibtc,will a domiciliary account be accepted.
3-how early can i have my Tb test done?will august be too early as i will be applying for visa october ending.
