The truth of the matter is Egun peeps are not yoruba in no regard, they're forced to speak yoruba, my stay in badagry opened my eyes! they speak their distinct language, their culture musical instrument traditional attires are very different from yoruba! it just like saying ibibio are igbos! or Ijaws are igbos! they share nothing in common, most of them tend to understand yoruba to survive, yoruba don't understand anything in their language

if you look at the map of africa in early century, you will see that Benin was the name given to all the bight of benin and biafra, and just like lagos, benin was like a melting pot for all the tribes across the coast and river, so everyone came to benin, like everyone is in lagos today, because benin was a strong force so every tribe around respected them! so when the war started the likes of ezechima, nnewi progenitor,ukwuani etc all went back to their place like what happened during oso abiola! so these confusion should not be allowed to continue, what happened was what I just described! enough of these trash!!

note that igbos from the day one migrate alot! but they still remember their ancestral home! Eze chima was an igbo man before he went to benin, just like for example ebuka from Obosi would go to lagos for greener pastures, he is likely born children in lagos, learn some of their culture, but if anything happens in lagos that would threatened his existence, he will relocate to obosi his home, that doesn't mean he is a yoruba, because he has learnt most of their culture and lifestyle!! ok ask yourself, why didn't you have a place called "Eze chima "
same with Eze chima, he went to benin from his home town anioma, he went for greener pastures because benin was like lagos, so he had children, but when the war agha idu noba started he left with his children down to his ancestral home, I just asked my father he said he heard of the story too from village in those days, it affected all parts of igboland today , it doesn't mean that he migrated from benin! afteral he met people when he returned! his children started expanding what we have today!! so I hope you understand the simple logic here

The FGN carved out the whole oil producing parts of igboland into rivers,bayelsa,delta and akwa ibom just to weaken igbos. Do you know that if igboland is one we would have been the ethnic group that produces the largest amount of oil in nigeria?

What of the 20 pounds policy? The indigenisation policy? The FGN siting and allocation of industries? Less number of states to undermine us politically? What OBASANJO did to orji uzor kalu slok group and how he fustrated ibeto(whom would have been the richest man in africa) to his early death? What of resource control?

At last some other person I can discuss with intelligently. But I believe all regions were balkanized at one point or the other. Osun was carved out of Oyo state. Ekiti out of Ondo state. I am still aware that at a point the Igbos were agitating for one more state because they have the least number of states. Some states in the south west can't pay salaries and in my opinion should be re-merged. The issue is would the Igbos see themselves as not marginalized if they were given an extra state. In my opinion if the 5 Igbo states are run properly they may even begin to loan other states money. That's the economic power that can influence political power.

Actually have watched many of your politicians kick against state creation based on your submission, yet you're nothing is being done about the inequality! each time the topic iis brought about, the excuse of viability will be used to rubbish the idea, yet nothing is being done about it!
