If we had Martial replacing Weghorst or in future have Weghorst coming in for Martial we would have fared or will fare better. Rashford couldn't hold onto the ball or do anything reasonable with it playing as a 9.

The importance of a player that can hold on to the ball when we are under pressure can not be overemphasized...

My God!!! You misunderstand my post and start reacting based on what you comprehended...

Arsenal are on the up and their team is made up of young exciting players so, expect them to get better in the coming year unless of course they sell their star players...Liverpool will be right up there once their injury issues are behind them while Chelsea are bound to bounce back thanks to their owners who are ever ready to break the bank and City will be City...

We have made tremendous progress but we need to strengthen the squad if we must keep pace with the usual suspects plus a resurgent Arsenal and a Chelsea team that will most likely get their act together with their injured playersreturning and their new acquisitions.

As far as this season goes, Odegaard has been right up there among the best AMF in the league.

If we beat Arsenal then we can legit begin to shoot for the stars...

Are we really up to the task or is it a case of Liverpool, Chelsea, City and Spurs not performing at optimum level? Let's not get carried away even as we appreciate the progress we have made. I remember a couple of seasons back when we finished second/third but honestly it was not because we were that good but rather a case of our rivals struggling. I'd love to see how we compete against the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, City and Arsenal next season to really guage the level we have reached.

As for the talk about overhaul, we need to strenthen the team even more because at the moment, we still do not have a bench that strikes fear into any team so, yes Rangnick was right when he opined that the team needs to be overhauled. Overhaul doesn't necessarily mean we will replace the whole squad however, it depends on the nature of the team and in our case it had to do with Strengthening the core of the team across each area (Defence, Midfield and attack) as well as improving the bench. So far, we have improved the defense as well as midfield but in attack, Antony has not stepped up to the level you expect of a player that cost that much and in midfield, you feel we need another player in the mould of Eriksen or someone in between Eriksen and Casemiro like Neves to ensure there's no shortage of quality in any case of an injury or suspension.

Martial looks like one who is not doing enough in training. He doesn't look in peak condition and looks a bit heavy...

Luis Muriel (Atalanta) is another player who is as lazy as Martial though very talented.

You don’t know whether it is football related but you are already mentioning mentally weak. Like I said you obviously don’t understand mental health issues. And we also don’t know enough about this particular situation.

And it is a bit insensitive when you are thinking of your customer satisfaction as a fan when he might be dealing with something that could affect him for the rest of his life. I don’t think it’s right to blame someone for developing Depression.

Canceling contracts involves massive payouts that can impact your immediate cash flow scheme because with wages, payments are amortized at least.

You're picking on cancelation of contract and not outright discarding via sale.

Talking about contract termination, we have seen Juve terminate Higuain's contract as well as Khedira's...It's all about sitting down a player who knows he isn't going to start games and negotiating a way out either via sale or termination...If we are not selling or terminating then we can loan players out and collect good loan fees while taking their wages off our payroll for the period like Madrid did with Bale, Atletico are doing with Felix abd Chelsea with Lukaku...

Madrid wins because they don't tolerate mediocrity...Most players up their game when they join Madrid, quite the opposite of what we have at Old Trafford because there's little or no pressure for you to deliver and that's something EtH is hell vent on changing...

I decided to stop criticising him when I heard he had mental health issues until I know more. I don’t whether he is depressed because of football or non-football reasons, and I am not saying he should not be sold or whatever (Rashy n Garnacho are ahead of him anyway), however piling on someone struggling with Depression is insensitive.

This is different from ACL or hamstring. His quality of life as a human being post-football and safety might actually be at risk here. It is obvious you don’t know about mental health issues. Most times people suffering from it don’t know why it is happening to them, and their family n friends (like you) just want them to buckle up and fight. That’s not how it works.

I am speaking as a fan who is disappointed in the general performance of Sancho since he arrived Old Trafford...I am not insensitive to his personal challenges, my argument is that if it's football related then he is mentally weak. He has not gotten the stick from fans and journalists compared to Maguire.

Injuries are excusable...Why is Sancho depressed? If it is football related then he really shouldn't be playing football...

The fans and the management should be depressed especially when you consider how much we paid to get him...You look at Haaland and begin to imagine what would have been if Sancho hit the ground running like he did in the German Buli when he joined us...

Do you know that if Casemiro needs a midfield partner for a big game and the usual suspects are injured, Shaw will do a good job there. The guy is just a natural baller. Casemiro-Shaw partnership will dominate.

Casemiro was very good defensively yesterday but he was a bit sloppy on the ball.

Malacia surprised, particularly with how he knew when to jump in with his tackles and when to be patient.

Yeah AWB has improved on the ball, but his far post glitches still continues now.

I swear Shaw will do well in a double pivot...His line breaking passes is just as good as that of Licha...
