Kane can come in and score 25-30 goals and it wouldn't make any difference because the squad is a long way off a title winning squad however, with Muani and Hojlund we are sorted in attack for a good number of years enough time for our slow-paced board to fix all the gaping holes in our team.

I will sign Hojlund and Muani for 120m or thereabout rather than sign 30 years old Kane. One of Muani or Hojlund or even both will likely make it which to me is a better long term investment.

City sells players they dont need or players who want out. The ones they want like Aguero Silva, they squeeze every juice out of them

The sale value of KdB will be 150M but City is not even interested until he decides he is no longer interested

Salah has done more than enough. KDB has delivered for City since his arrival so, the question of resale value is not a thing. My only issue is that Kane at his age does not come with a guarantee of long term performance.

They are not investigating anything, they are hoping that somehow the attention on his case gets taken over by other events paving the way for his reintroduction into the team.

In City, they have a goal machine in Haaland and other goal threats so, Pep has not problem with Grealish not scoring or assisting else Foden will displace him. The demands of Grealish at City and the demands had he joined United is and would have been different...

He was even poorer in the champions league. Played 13 games, has 0 goals plus 0 assists.

No, Graelish was not "very good" last season. He had a brief moment in either April or March where he scored or made remarkable assists. But that was it.

If Graelish was a United player and he scored 5 PL goals last season, as a 100m player, you'd be calling for his head today.

Grealish helps Man City retain possession and is very good in ball progression. While I am not of fan of his style of play (He sometimes hugs the ball too much) you can't use stats to dismiss his impact on the City's style of play. For him to be benching Foden then you should know he is doing something right because Pep is not the kind of manager that rewards average performances.

You are right about Tonali being a better fit than Mount. He is comfortable dropping deep and orchestrating play but he's more of a CM, just like Eriksen. I like to see him as a 6-8 hybrid, Mount is more of an 8-10. Those of una wey dey expect actual possession football from tenHag, make una dey dream dey go. With Mount and Bruno in midfield, na direct, transitional football, which is not bad as long as you guys create chances, score goals and win games.

I wonder if some of them have watched Tonali before arguing. My point about Tonali is that if we are to analyse what ETH was trying to achieve last season using Eriksen then Tonali would have been the better option compared to Mount...

We do not need a box-to-box midfielder, we need a midfield controller right next to Casemiro. Tonali is perfect for the Erikson role.

Your case is different. There are people here who are pro-DDG just because people they have real and imaginary beef with are anti-DDG. Some are defending DDG because 1 or 2 of the posters criticizing DDG criticized their own favourite players. It really does not have much to do with understanding the role of a ball playing GK or not.

It is the norm here. People take positions on issue based on where their perceive enemies are standing that's why you find so many ridiculous takes here.

If we have Antony and Sancho playing like they should, our attack would have been fearsome. I wonder why players join the club and begin playing rubbish...

Sell him at a loss so we can save that 300k weekly wage. I reckon Spurs will have no problems dropping 40-50m. We can use that money to get a better replacement.

But let's focus on our own players. Sancho was underwhelming last season. We either improve him or ship him off.

Hojlund is touted to be the next big thing. If ETH really believes in this, we should be going for him and a cheap 2nd ST instead of splashing 100m on an Harry Kane.

Everyone talks about signing the next big thing instead of expensive marquee signings. But once another big name gets thrown around, all of these gets thrown into the bush.

Pep and Klopp didn't make all these type of signings until they built a team and knew that marquee signing was the last piece of the puzzle.

We have to sell for ETH to get more money to buy players while other top teams that are expertly run have enough money to get their targets. We have the money but the owners are just greedy.

Now, if the rumors transfer budget is to be believed, signing Kane will see us lock up shop as far as incomings are concerned since we haven't been able to raise anything substantial from player sales.

Top clubs don't care about resale value. Are you buying him in the hope of selling him for profits or you are buying him to drop world class performances to win trophies? It's better to spend 100milliion on a player that will give 3 to 4 world class seasons like Kane than spending 60 to 80million on potential like Hojund and Kolo Muani.

Other top teams are not owned by the Goazers.

If Sheikh buys the club then I will care less but at this point, I am not sure if we spend £100m on Kane we will have enough funds to strengthen other areas that needs strengthening...

Arab money doesn’t care about resale value. Arab money cares about winning titles, and Kane gives us the best chance of winning titles now. I don’t think Spurs will sell to us though, that is if we can afford him in the first place.

For now, the reality is that the Glazers are still here and we have a limited budget.

You need to change your perception of Kane. He still has at least 2-3 years at the top. I'm talking 20-league goals season.

If we land Kane, we won't struggle for top 4 and may actually mount a challenge.

Over 100m for 3 years of quality football and no resale value, Is it worth it?

Liverpool bought Mane and got value from him and eventually sold him before his form dipped for a profit. If Liverpool decide to sell Salah today they'll get at least £70-100m. As of now, even if drops form, no Liverpool fan will question the decision to sign him in the first place.

Look at Cit with Sterling, Sane etc. Our problem is that we buy top players at the wrong end of their careers for so much money when we know they don't have any resale value. At other times, we buy average players and place them on ridiculously high wages making it impossible for us to sell when they don't meet our expectations.

I think we should actually go the other way. We should sign an experienced striker to start and a young striker who wouldn’t mind sitting on the bench for now.

I don't mind however, I am conscious of the resources available to sign these players. Kane or any other too striker will go for over £100m and we talented young forward will cost between £40-50m. However, we can easily get a talented young striker and an experience striker for under £80m.
