izzou: Why are you guys focusing on the bad ones just to suit your narrative?
So let me ask you Mr Patrick? I'm assuming you are a graduate.
Are you dumb? Did you sort your way through school for good grades?
I'm sure the answer is NO.
There are degree holders killing it back to back. There are more degree holders putting us on the map, than SSCE holders.
But no. For this narrative to pass, let's assume all degree holders are dumb and useless
Just the same way those who didn't go through higher education too are excelling in their endeavors...
My point was just to highlight the flaw in your argument and not necessarily that I don't agree that they're folks who are doing great after graduating...
I don't think in our respective communities we assess the competence of people via their degrees...
BlueRayDick: There are millions of graduates who hold their own if scrutinized . Who do u think work in all commercial banks in the country ? Who do u think work in all the big 4’s in the country ? Who do u think work as engineers , marketers ,lecturers, etc ?
You think Dangote will be the richest Blackman if he employs SSCE holders full his businesses ? I have a friend who has first class in mechanical engineering , distinction in his MSC and works with Dangote Petrochemicals.
In our society today, an SSCE holder would not even get the job of clerk/office assistant , yet we want our president to just have SSCE and that’s fine ? Me I no agree o.
My point is that degree alone is not enough...They're other ways you can assess the competence of an individual bar looking at their academic qualifications...
izzou: We have a large number of the uneducated.
If we don't place a premium on requirements, anybody with large followers and a F filled WAEC is eligible.
If anyone wants to rule, they should pay the price of a degree.
How many graduates can hold their own if scrutinized?
They're a lot of students in our universities who have no business whatsoever there...I don't even want to talk about folks their sort their way through school and graduate with good grades yet are as dumb as they come...
When it's time for the campaigns and other aspirants don't come out to talk to Nigerians then we can start calling them out for now, nobody is compelled to visit media houses and grant interviews to every tom, dick and harry...
That Peter Obi is doing it does not make it the norm...
BlueRayDick: These are the think tanks I usually talk about; brilliant wordsmith who are very good with their pen/words but have made it a point of duty to use their writing skills to serve whoever is paying their bills and run down the hustle of those in opposing camp.
Weyrey say Buhari has solved almost everything. Even Buhari and his handlers acknowledge his failures but this paid writer wey dey hustle him own daily 2k dey tell us what's not
MRTA7: I have too much peace of mind right now. I miss watching this team. Can't wait for our next match for my blood pressure and general mental health to reach unacceptable levels.
AnfieldFan: It's surprising nobody here has figured the problem....
Elliot doesn't work as a RCM.. In Klopp's football that uses the fullbacks as width providers, the Cm's in midfield are either expected to retain the ball(press resistant) to play passes into the final third while also being solid defensively ( Thiago*Wijnaldum ) or basically cover for the full backs when they overlap so as not to overload the CB's and the Dm...
People have been going on about Trent not being able to defend and that's the biggest load of bullcrap I've heard in a long while.. Trent is tasked with creating chances ( because the boy has such ridiculous quality with the ball, man pings 70 yard diagonal crosses with his weaker foot) . This means that season in season out, his chances created stats ranks in the top 3 or 4. Tasking such person with sprinting back every single time we are countered is asking him to basically kill his body by the time he's 28, not withstanding,he defends well enough...
The problem now is he's suddenly lacking the cover Hendo used to provide, prior to us conceding vs Ajax, I was screaming at my screen when I saw Elliot standing or jogging back as opposed to actively covering Berghuis when Trent positioned to intercept the pass..I knew Trent wouldn't get it and I knew it would most likely result in a shot and alas, I was right...It was a shot and it was a goal...
This doesn't only affect the CB's, it affects the DM too who's now mindful of the space Elliot leaves when he ventures forward,Fab is now running round the midfield and he's been beat because he's all alone in space, the return of Thiago who's a maestro reduces that as we saw vs Ajax but he's still having to cover for Elliot.... In a way, this also affects Salah too because Elliot who's been a winger from his academy days tends to drift to the wings, around the general areas Salah likes to occupy...
Around the 30 minutes mark of our game vs Ajax, I saw a situation that has played out quite a few times, Salah got the ball outside the box, he waited for Arnold to come through for a quick give and go(they do this all the time) which mostly results in a snap shot when he gets the ball back, but Arnold never came, on closer observation, you notice that Elliot himself was more in the middle of the box and Trent was in the midfield area, it was obvious that Trent was mindful of going forward in case of a quick break if the whole sequence didn't work out...With Hendo, he wouldn't be bothered about that..
As brilliant a player as Elliot is, he's still a lightweight and his attacking instincts far overshadow his defensive ones ..
He compromises our structural balance... I've also wondered why Klopp hasn't down anything and I've realized it's either because of ask shortage of capable Midfielders, injuries or him wanting us to work through this setback and find a solution on the pitch....
If Klopp wants to accommodate Elliot, Trent should become a more traditional fullback...
Despite all these, FSG must take the blame if we want or need somebody or people to blame, they could have gotten Barella or bid for Konrad earlier, instead, Klopp was expected to make do with available options till next season....And we only got Arthur on loan because Hendo got Injured.. It's the story of FSG though, a few key transfers through out the years and I'm pretty sure Klopp would have had 3 EPL titles or 2 in the least by now...

Spot on even though I am a rival fan...
Elliot shouldn't be starting as he doesn't provide enough cover for Trent and in attack doesn't offer as much as Trent...
TrebleChamp: Patrick you are one of the many that would criticise him at United. Ronaldo scored 24 goals last season, yet you and some still find fault in his game and even accuse him of bit letting others score. Una go complain about some aspect of Haaland's game no matter how many goals he scores.
I defended Ronaldo here last season but still, the criticism is valid as he has to do more...
You think Pep will not be working with Haaland to improve his all round game? Definitely, Pep will be doing that...In a year or two, Haaland will be better and that's if he listens to Pep.
TrebleChamp: Looking at how United played last season, i believe Haaland would have struggled to score many goals. The supply from fullbacks and wingers was very poor last season, plus also having a horrible midfield combo of Pogba/McFred and a horrible defence as teammates. Haaland is a goal machine, but would press press advocates allow him stay inside the box patiently waiting his chance to score?
So, Ronaldo took the ball from our half and dribbled his way through the opposition to score 18 goals?
Doc is telling you that for Ronaldo to score 18 goals, Haaland would most likely have scored even more...
Stop calling everyone who criticizes Ronaldo a hater, it just doesn't make sense...Rooney did more for Man Utd yet he was criticized here when he was playing poorly so, why not Ronaldo? Even now, you guys never hold back when other players are involved but once it's Ronaldo, we should all turn a blind eye...Bros, no be so oh!
kozmicity: What's your predicted lineup for today??
4-2-3-1 De Gea Dalot Maguire Martinez Malacia Casemiro Eriksen Antony Bruno Rashford Ronaldo
I feel CR7's gonna play well today. I feel good about the game in general.
Maguire shouldn't start, we need to play our strongest 11 to win as we can afford to drop points. Moreover, we don't have a game at the weekend so, the idea of resting players is defeated.
Mrviktor: Oga just chuck head e go enter net.. All those leg stretching no necessary. Ronaldo. Mitrovic Cavani Zlatan Mane Nunez Lewa Giroudddddddd Lakaka Benzema
Will bury that day in day out. 10/10
Which Nunez? Which Mane? Why is Mane not scoring for fun at Bayern?
The same Nunez that Klopp is struggling to fit him into his team? There's a reason Jota and Firmino are starting ahead of him. His link up play is not good enough yet...
Shifting how? Chicharito is another striker who used fo score goals or have chances to score courtesy of his predatory movements around the box...When they are not playing you begin to ask questions of the supply...
Look at Werner for example, when he was at Chelsea he was renowned for missing chances but replace him with most strikers and you begin to blame the rest of the players for failing to create quality chances...
Also, the team structure plays a role. Man City can play with 10 men and dominate most teams so, Haaland with 26 touches won't matter compared to a striker playing for Man Utd, a team that will struggle to dominate an opponent playing with 10 men...
eph12: Did you actually see the goal he scored? Did you see the way he had to leap and stretch?
You're comparing a team that is settled in every position to one that is still finding its feet, and you think the striker can afford to be strolling around the box waiting for food? I'm very sure that tears will full everywhere if Halaand was in this team
That guy is a clown. See how Haaland stretched for that ball and some how baba wants us t9 believe it's the perfect pass...City are very creative no doubt but some of the goals Haaland has scored has been down to his athleticism and superb positioning...
afrodoc2: They are still hoping they can reinstate him if he is cleared of the charges. I am not sure the Glazers have the guts to withstand the potential backlash.
He is in the U-21 squad...Hopefully for the sake of the club, he gets back to playing football again.
