SyIvalord: Oh, now I can confirm that you have a big problem with comprehension. Maybe you should pick up a brighter grammar textbook or a comprehensive English textbook so you can understand simple statements.
I said “Ole is a good coach who can succeed when he is given the tools he needs. Tonight, he beat PSG because he had the tools he needed to play the kind of football that he needed to play in order to get a win against PSG. Also, the players understood their roles and executed them perfectly. The tactics and personnel used to get a win against PSG may be different from the tactics and personnel he will need to get a win against another team.
Please let this be the last time that you misquote me, be it intentionally or unintentionally. If you don’t understand what I mean, then you’d do well to ask me to explain. You're one of the most uncouth fellow here, you should do well to be civil when chatting with folks here as you don't even have the slightest idea who is on the other end of the spectrum...I have had enough of your bad behavior... You opined that "Ole is a good coach who can succeed when he is given the tools he needs"...I ask, what tools was he provided with tonight? Telles? Because all the other players were here when we lost to Palace and Spurs and that's why most of us think he either didn't set up well or didn't pick the right team to have lost the aforementioned games. I really don't get why you're fired up to go on the offensive when nothing calls for it but then again, nothing surprises me anymore... |

SyIvalord: Ole’s tactics tonight was top notch. He has proven once again that he is not tactically inept. He is a very good coach when given the tools he needs to succeed. Sylvalord, this is you insinuating that Ole is good when given the tools. Only Telles is new in the starting 11...Is Telles the tools? This isn't me being deceitful, it's your words starring you in the face. We have a very good team, all Ole has to do is to use the players to good effect and trust the entire players in the squad... |

SyIvalord: Ole’s tactics tonight was top notch. He has proven once again that he is not tactically inept. He is a very good coach when given the tools he needs to succeed. Not to start an argument but I am happy you now acknowledge he has the tools he needs at his disposal... Let's stick to a diamond midfield with Telles at LB and Pogba at LCM. Against small teams, I will prefer VDB over one of Fred and McSauce... Ole should pick any two of Martial/Rashford/Cavani/Greenwood. |

afrodoc2: I have to give it to Ole for this game. I still don't think he is the man for the job long term but his team selection was on point, his initial formation was on point, and the formation switch in the 2nd half was doubly on point.
He just needs to trust his bench a little bit more and make the subs earlier. Ole got his selection spot on and his substitution was even better... I agree he needs to trust his bench better. We could have done with VDB earlier in the game as Bruno was visibly tired... |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 10:43pm On Oct 20, 2020 |
Martial and Rashford didn't have the best of games but they did well in patches.
As soon as Pogba came in, we improved our ball retention and to be honest, a diamond midfield is best for us at the moment...
NB: I am not saying Telles was bad, dude looked very good but in the long run and against teams that sit back, he should replace Shaw who himself looks better playing in a back 3.
De Gea, Shaw, AWB and Fred were just awesome. The competition for a starting berth is seeing players up their game.
Finally, I give props to Ole, he knows how to set up when the odds are against us. |

I also thought CB was a priority position so when I see people mention here that we have over 6 CBs, I just laugh...Apart from Maguand Lindelof, I don't trust any other option we have at CB not for their playing abilities but their ability to stay fit.
No Maguire, Bailly, Greenwood and to a lesser extent Cavani (understandable)...Tuanzebe - Lindelof - Shaw...SMOG! |

timay: To be fair, the last two Carabao matches Ighalo has played , he's been shit. Even Lingard played fantastic is those matches sef. Mata got to start in the weekend because Ole has seen that he still has something for him because of how he played in those Carabao games.
So let's just say Ighalo didn't take his chance, because if he did, OGS would have spare the fans the pain of seeing james on LW by playing Rashford on the LW and Ighalo as the CF. So, Ighalo won't play a competitive match for weeks yet you want him to suddenly look sharp when he plays? Not fair. I think they're only a few players who get things running even after a long lay off, Rosicky back then and most recently Cazorla...Messi and Ronaldo also. |

afrodoc2: Pogba's skillset is higher than Bruno's own o. I don't think it is even close but that is just my opinion.
What Bruno has his application and attitude. Things that Pogba lacks. It is like a brilliant student that refuses to submit assignments or answer questions in class. You just brilliant for your own pocket.
That is the most painful thing about Pogba's situation. But nitrogen has a point that in a different formation like a true 4-3-3 with a mobile CDM behind him Pogba would perform better than he is doing now. This is the difference between you and most folks here, you are not bothered about people's opinions when the truth is clear for all to see... |

I remember when people here praising Ole for addressing our defence in just one window but I remained skeptical. We concede way too many cheap goals for a top club and most times against lowly rated teams.
Maguire, Wan-Bissaka, James and Ighalo are not Manchester United quality and how much did we spend to sign them?
Why did Ole insist on keeping Ighalo even when his club wanted him back only to go ahead and sign Cavani on a free? Ole is clueless...After the restart, Ighalo hardly ever played you begin to wonder if it isn't the same coached that pushed for him to stay. That's the club paying him for doing nothing.
I just hope the club will avoid buying British players going forward, those overrated guys command huge transfer fees yet offer next to nothing...I am afraid we need to count our losses and move on from Wan-Bissaka and Maguire, those two average players won't take us anywhere...130m gone down the drain and someone said Ole knows what he is doing...
Everton signed Allan, Doucoure and James and they're all doing well but at Manchester United, you begin to hear bullocks like core British spine...
If Ole doesn't give himself brain and drop Maguire for whoever and start Telles ahead of Shaw vs Newcastle as well as play a diamond midfield, he just might get the sack after the game...
For his most loyal of fans, we have played over five games already... |
