Leyqute:Seriously, I will never forgive Moyes, he should have stuck with the backroom staff but no, he wanted to be his own man. I don't blame the players, maybe if it was just Martial I'd have questioned his commitment but it's not just him and that's a big call for concern. |
Leyqute:A loss will spell disaster with City next. If we lose the both games, I don't see Ole surviving the pressure that will come with it. We have to splash the cash in January, we need at least 4 top players. 2 CM, I Fwd and 1 winger (RWF) |
Funny enough, we might win today. We seem to win when the odds don't favor us. |
afrodoc2:I didn't even see your comment before asking questions of what they really do. I am of the opinion that they're not good enough. |
I expect Ole to be clearly highlight the injury crisis affecting us now and the need to get players in come January but no, he is waiting for the players to recover. With regards to the constant injuries, rather than criticize Martial and the likes, it is important we ask questions of our physios. Remember Van Persie at Arsenal? He was a sickbay but when SAF got him, his training regime was perfected to ensure he stayed fit. It's not just Martial, Bailly, Dalot, Shaw, Pogba, McSauce now and many others have these reoccurring injuries, the medical team should step up. |
elampiro:In other words, we are better with Martial in the team. Rashford should improve his link up play with his fellow forwards. |
A coach came out to say he is satisfied with the squad so what exactly are you guys on about? He let Fellaini go, he let Herrera go for free, he saw Lukaku leave, Sanchez was loaned out, Smalling too was loaned out amidst all these, Ole maintained he had a good enough team. Don't tell me about injuries and all because as a coach Ole should know better. When Pep cleared the deadwoods, didn't he replace them with better players? How come it's only us that don't seem to see top players? Talking about administrative structure, we have spent more than £500m in the past few years, is it Ed's fault that mangers keep recommending trash players? Mkhitaryan, Bailly, Lindelof, Dalot, Fred, Lukaku and Pogba were brought in on the request of Mou, add Sanchez and Ibra. Van Gaal requested for and got Blind, Depay, Schweinsteiger, Rojo, Martial etc. When managers fail, there's always a reason for their failure. Look at the aforementioned players and the huge amount spent to acquire them yet the coaches still come up with excuses. The board has tried, it's the coaches that have failed us. |
Chrisus:Qua what? We have not slept yet talkless of dreaming... |
Chrisus:Kumbayaya Kumbayaya... Kumbayaya Kumbayaya... Have your way lord have your way.. Oh lord have your way... Na prayers I don enter now. |
chukwuibuipob:Is it not here we read stories of that fraudster who pulled off stunts whilst in jail? This is Nigeria brah! |
Chrisus:Hahaha if it's at Old Trafford then we stand a chance. |
elampiro:He won't but you'll see an instant improvement in their play and they'll win more games. |
izzou:Are you not a Chelsea fan? If yes, look at Chelsea, isn't it obvious that Lampard is a couple of players away from building a great team? You watch Chelsea play and you can easily see where they're headed but when you watch Manchester United, what exactly do you see to have you believe? And please don't talk about the quality of players because Tomori, Zouma, Emerson, Kepa, Abraham and Pulisic are relatively new to the league or are playing their first season in the league but we with Maguire, Wan-Bissaka, De Gea, Lindelof, Martial, Rashford, Fred etc are nothing to write home about yet the excuses never stop here. Ole is not going to take us anywhere...If I had any iota of doubt in my last statement, I'd have added I hope I am wrong but I am certain it will end in tears. |
elampiro:Poch is not the only coach available, is he? You guys are making it look like it's Poch or nothing. Madrid and Chelsea have constantly changed managers yet they keep winning. Football has moved on the days when coaches spend decades in a club now it's either you deliver or be booted out. And about Mou tidying up Pochettino's mess, it's still early days bro and even if he goes on to win anything, it's not rocket science as others have cleaned Mourinho's mess in the past. |
elampiro:In other words, we need a new front line and midfield. If we have to keep spending to win Aston Villa and Crystal Palace at Old Trafford, why then do we need a coach? |
elampiro:We conceded 2 vs Palace, 3 vs Sheffield and 2 vs Aston Villa we are getting worse by the day. How come small teams come at us and force us to start defending, since when? We do not impose ourselves until we are a goal or two down but no, we are fine...When we wake up one day seeing the team in 18th position only then will you understand what's happening. |
OP I perfectly understand the situation you find yourself as I have been there before not in your position but as Mr. X. In my case, it was my sister as my boss and so many senior friends in the donor agencies that funded us but the big issue is that nobody wants to lose an excellent staff, it is what it is but I think you have to trust other team members with more responsibility to get the best out of them. Some folks in your team might be relaxed seeing that you seem to trust Mr. X more. Make everyone feel important and valued and you'll most likely find many Mr. X who before now looked incapable of stepping into Mr. X's shoe. Push his CV through and find you others who can do better... If I wanted to go any further, I'd say for Mr. X to be so good yet has been in the same position for years is either down to ill luck finding a new job or due to the perks he gets from the job which I'm certain you don't know. Move him on and get to discover your terrain even more as it sounds like a lot of what you know of the new terrain is what he wants you to know. |
MRTA7:Gbam!!! |
larride:I started since last week. Maguire and Wan-Bissaka should do better. 130m and our defense is not any better than that of Sheffield United... |
chrisley024:Trust Mou. |
Team Ole, how are you guys comfortable seeing us fail to beat Southampton, Crystal Palace, Sheffield United, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Wolves etc...The players are not all that but you can't excuse such horrible performances. Elampiro you're saying we don't have a bench but your MCM let Fellaini, Herrera, loaned out Sanchez, sold Lukaku without any adequate replacement...Ole must go no excuses. |
Knowing Mourinho, he'll do whatever it takes to beat us and with City next, God airpus o! |
Na prayer remain... |
Oasis007:Remember how highly Martial was rated before we got him? I am tempted to believe Mbappe will look average if he joined us. |
chrisley024:If we sign Auba/Lewy will they do just as well with us as they're doing now? |
afrodoc2:Has he had any sniff at goal? Aguero and Jesus won't score up to 10 goals if they played for us because they're simply not clinical but at City, the chances keeps coming. |
larride:I said it here last time that he is running away from the action. My friend just said the same thing now before I saw your comment. |
Martial is lazy, Martial is lazy but how exactly do you get excited playing with these bunch of useless players? |
elampiro:We are playing rubbish collectively but Rashford has been especially poor. |
adebayo201:At least once or twice he'll overrun the ball every game. |
iamoyindamola:Abeg swerve. Last time responding to you. |
Oasis007:And you're still caught in between the lines. Be bold enough to pick a stand. If you want Ole out, who do you want in? Pick a position so we can scrutinize it, it is easier to do that when others come out with their choice. |
