I remember when we had an argument here sometime last year about whether Pogba will walk into Madrid's starting eleven. In the course of the argument, he was compared to Kroos and most folks here picked Kroos ahead of him for the way he controlled the midfield but here we are, a year ahead and folks are calling Kroos a passenger. Where is that postdigger dude when you need him.
Maybe you should rather say pattern of play rather than tactics but even then, Madrid under stay employs a variety of patterns depending on the opponent. I am not of fan of Zidane but saying he isn't tactical or his team doesn't have a pattern of play is ridiculous.
ChristineC: this Pepe guy going to Napoli for €63m show Man United were never interested. ... but did he even feature at the African Nations' Cup? because I didn't hear any eulogies about his performance at the tournament
Joao Felix looks like top quality, I remember when his name popped up here but people thought he was too expensive. Atletico will sell him for 300m in a few years if his performances thus far is anything to go buy... We should look outside of England for quality. If Fernandez was English, we wouldn't have any problems forking out the cash.
CrystalTiger: I chose Trashford because of Chong's fragile nature else Trashford wouldn't have gotten near the bench at all..I hope Chong adds some muscles honestly he's very good..
For Pogba, do we even have any other person there?..Linzard is useless, reason I was low key hoping we got that Maddison from Leicester..
I really do think we need a very creative person..
Bailly should be sold abeg, he is just too rash for a CB.
I don't understand what Solskjaer sees in Lingard, that guy should be trained to play as a wing back and not an attacking midfielder where I'd rather have Mata. Mata for all his shortcomings on the right wing best interprete the role of an attacking midfielder, he is always available for a pass, sprays the ball around effortlessly and has the eye for that killer pass, only downside is his physique.
Matic is as fast as a snail, he should be used sparingly.
Tuanzebe is shaky, we need a leader at the back.
Fred is a mad man, he does one good thing and next he is frustrating you with a misplaced pass or poor touch.
iheanyi40: Woodward and ogs should find a way and bin Jones and Rojo asap,
Guys that are professional scammers? I bet OGS would have been very impressed with them at trainings. They can never give into injury at this stage not even if they are sandwiched in between 2 Dangote trailers in an accident.
Oasis007: Rob Dawson: "United training at the National Stadium in Singapore ahead of game against Inter tomorrow. Lukaku not part of the group. Darmian and Fred have joined up."
Inter should conclude the deal or Bleep off, their sluggishness is affecting our other deals.
If one of Angel Gomes, Chong, Garner or Greenwood achieve their full potential, then we would be very lucky cos these guys have got real talent. Chong is very explosive and tricky while running, he reminds me more of Giggs than Daniel James.
On a serious note, I think he's there to mentor the upcoming keepers like Joel Pereira, but in reality he adds nothing as a goalie. Dean Henderson is better than him but he is still on loan at Sheffield.
The club is just managing Lukaku protracted transfer to Inter just incase the deal doesn't materialize so he can easily continue with us...Ed should give them a deadline to complete the deal or bounce so we can move forward.
timay: If the Maguire story is true. Some of them in defense will put in transfer request by January by themselves,by the time they must have been glued to the bench
You don't know those guys, do you? Jones and Rojo are not interested in playing. It's like a plumber finding himself in the hospital and being referred to as a medical doctor, he wouldn't care if he doesn't have clients as long as he keeps getting paid. Jones and Rojo don't give a flying fvck.
Swissh: Ronaldo will still remain head and shoulders above Messi or at very least side by side.
Are you for real? If Ronaldo had remained in Manchester United, he'd be referred to as a local champion by you and your ilks... Look at the quality Barcelona and Real Madrid possess, isn't it frightening? Other big clubs strike gold once in a while with absolutely world class team e.g. Manchester United of the late 2000, Bayern with Shweinsteiger, Kross, Robben, Ribery, Lahm, Martinez, Neuer, Alaba and Co., Inter couple of years back etc Only Barcelona and Madrid have the resources backed by that ridiculous sharing formula in Spain to go from Eto to Ibra, from Ibra to Villa, from Villa to Suarez and now Grizzy and in Madrid, Raul, Nistwlrooy, Zidane, Figo, Becks, Robben (he deemed not good enough along with Schneider), Ronaldo, Kaka, Benz, Higuain, and now Hazard, Jovic etc. As of now, only Manchester City similarly has the resources to continually cherry pick the best players around. I don't know if Hazard will win the UCL with Madrid but one thing is certain, he'll pose far greater number of goals and assist compared to when he was with Chelsea. Reason? He'll be surrounded by absolutely world class players in just about every position.
Swissh: Ronaldo that was winning world best in England . I tire for that Guy.
He won just one and the next season was very tough for him to replicate the same feat. If Ronaldo had remained in England, he'd be on 2-3 Balon D'or now.
LostMyZeal: Talking about transfer fees ...it varies and you know that
the valuation on players in SAF's era is different from what we have now yunno... it's crazy these days
it's not about the cash bro... that's a smokescreen that those 2 clowns are using (woodward and that OLE)
Nobody wants to be found on a sinking ship
What exactly is your point? We shouldn't get excited seeing the youngsters coming through the academy? Your point about bolstering the squad is shared by everyone here however it doesn't mean we can't get excited about the quality coming through the academy.
anyways...fingers crossed until they play 'em big boys
the last UCL revealed a lot about this useless squad
... I ain't buying this initial gra gra.
It's not gra gra, the fans are just happy to see Young players coming through the ranks. It's no secret that we all agree we need to strengthen the squad.
AWB is indeed the spider, his long legs means you can hardly go past him... Angel Gomes is very tricky and calm on the ball (my kind of player), he'll win you free kicks and penalties. Greenwood grew into the game after that poor miss. He is also very confident. Chong is very explosive and with more stamina and experience, he'll quietly be one of the stars of the future. Pogba kept it simple, just what we want from him. I still want us to sign another midfielder who has a good passing range, sometimes, the time we take passing from side to side can be reduced with a simple diagonal.
Shaw is still a suspect, you fear for every time he is down.
Jones and Rojo are scammers as usual, they'll never get injured at this stage.
Garner? Nice goal and good pressing but not enough minutes for us to access his passing.
Leyqute: Romelu Lukaku, Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly & Lee Grant all arrived with the group despite not being named in the #MUFC squad to face Perth Glory
Leyqute: Maybe Jones Na the new striker wey we dey wait for to deliver 30+ goals per season. You just don’t know. That guy may be a horrible defender and excel beautifully in front of goal.
Why not, he scores own goals every other match day.
