Yes Kaka was better than Dennis Bergkamp

A player leads his team to win trophies which is the aim of the sport

Ballack was the main player who drove Leverkusen to a CL final. Tell us what Mikel or Lampard as main player, playing with the level of dross Ballack played with got to the CL final or a world cup final

If I ask you to name 5 team members of Ballack at Leverkusen that got to the CL final without google you probably will struggle
Ze Roberto was that bad, Basturk was bad, Ramelow was bad...They were all bad right?

What kind of Jamb question are you asking me? Show me any other midfielder that has performed for Bayern and Germany from 2006 to 2014.

Kaka's peak was better than Bergkamp's. And that is considering they did not even play the same position so I don't know what this has to do with the argument on ground

You cannot divorce team achievement from a team sport so dead that narrative. Secondly who determines the metrics of individual play? Polling booth awards?

The reason nobody would compare Mikel to Ballack is because Mikel was not even a starter for most of the trophies Chelsea won. I don't know how you sit there and compare Mikel's role in these squads to that of Schweinsteiger. You don't have any argument
In what way was Schweinsteiger better than Scholes? Passing? Scoring from midfield? Midfield control? What exactly?

Your opinion bruv. Schweinsteiger delivered for club and country. Something you cannot say for either player you mentioned
What do you mean by delivered for club and country? A great player is a great player even if he doesn't win a national competition.
Will you rate Kaka ahead of Denis Bergkhamp?

When talking about players, can we focus more on the individual rather than team achievement? I'm sure if Mikel is thrown into the mix when we are discussing Ballack, you'd be quick to highlight Ballack's individual qualities rather than team achievements BECAUSE Mikel has won the AFCON, UCL AND UEFA cup. If your logic is used here, Mikel stands heads and shoulders above Ballack but no, I know better than base my logic on nothing.

A40 took after his mentor, both can make reckless statements.
It is shocking the kind of claims one gets to read here. If you probe further, I'm sure he'd mention the world cup. The arguments here sometimes are ridiculous.

In a couple of years from now, one clown will come here to say the English team of 2018 was better than that of Scholes, Lampard, Gerrard and Rooney.

Who dash Ashley Cole best Left back in the game?

Rio and Terry best defenders in the game? Why do you people believe English hype this much.

Gary Nevillehuh Lmaoooo

Beckham, Lampard and Scholes were inferior to the Zidane's, Pirlos, Xavis, Schweinsteigers etc

Go and check the history of football. It is literally impossible for you to see an assortment of 'World class' that recorded this much failure international tournament after international tournament.

How can supposed talent in such high concentration fail to get past the quarterfinals of any major tournament as a collective? Go and check and show me one team in football history with that many good players from defense to attack who didn't just fail to win a major tournament but couldn't even get past quarterfinal in multiple tries. It means a significant number of them were hyped
Scholes is not inferior to Bastian Schweinsteiger in anyway neither is Lampard.

Missing out very good players?

This club has spent close to £1b since Fergie left, only City has spent more with a difference of £100m or so.

The club battled City for Fred's signature, battled City for Sanchez's signature and won, but where are these players now?

The thing with Sancho is, first of all, he's English, which automatically means overhyped thanks to their media.
Secondly, he plays for Dortmund in BurnThisLeagueDown. The last Dortmund star the club signed was a resounding flop.

Imagine how they would have hyped Bruno if he was English, people that see Lingard as a strong option in their frightening squad.

Anyway, if the club signs Sancho, I really hope he performs well, tired of the shekpites camping here to troll daily.
Sancho is not overhyped, he is the least hyped Englishman maybe cos he does not play in the EPL...

Talking about City signings, Sane, Gundogan and De Bruyne were signed from the German league, Jesus from the Brazilian league, Ederson from Portugal etc.

Mkhi also looked like the real deal....

Not saying that they aren't good players, but playing well in the EPL for a big team is a completely different ball game.
It's this kind 9f mentality that has seen us miss out on very good players or have to overpay when other clubs who understand that every transfer is a risk signs them up.

Bruno Fernandez plays in a much weaker league but we all wanted him because away from the competitiveness of a league, a talented player remains one though they might not pose similar stat but with hard word and dedication, they'd make it anywhere.

When you talk of clearing out deadwoods, remember only Darmian was sold...Lukaku isn't a deadwood.

Smalling will likely return as will Sanchez cos their wage bill is just too much for Roma and Inter Milan respectively. So instead of clear out, I'd say the board are trying to reduce the wage bill temporarily.

If only the likes of Van Gaal, Moyes, Mourinho had been more proactive in shipping out deadwoods like Pep has done at City over the past 3 years, we'd be better positioned.

Come weekend, Dalot should play from LB with the likes of Chong, Garner and Gomes on the bench. Instead of wasting the season fielding the likes of Lingard, Mata, Matic etc, we should rather focus on giving the youngsters more game time...

Imagine getting worked up that Smalling is being loaned.

If another club comes for Lingard tomorrow, the same people who curse him every matchday will vex and complain as to why he's being sold.

That was how most people complained when LVG got rid of them Cleverly, Rafael, Anderson, Buttner, etc..

This is the only club where people want deadwood gone but complain when they get sold.
Was Rafael bad for us?

I think you guys are getting it twisted, nobody is against us clearing the deadwoods but at what cost? Considering Ed isn't willing to replace them with players of superior quality (our wish)...

People are seriously comparing Ororo to De Lima? I just weak today...

Ronaldo played when football was football and not business, if Ronaldo were to play now, he'd be very marketable as he was the top marksman for club and country.
He was magical on the ball, he could beat you for pace, with skills (dribbling and ball control), he was simply unplayable in his prime. The video Afrodoc2 shared highlights his time at Barcelona, you need to see him at Inter and with the Brazilian national team...He wasn't just a goalscorer, he scored goals whilst entertaining the fans...Dude is right up there with Pele as the best CFs ever.

Where do you put Aguero, Fernadinho, Walker?
Those ones profit from the quality of the deliveries and not necessarily their height advantage. Mctominay and Lindelof will win most aerial balls against Aguero, Walker and Fernandinho but the problem is they won't even bother trying most times.

James should be on the left if the coach wants him to cross always but he plays him on the right.

I hope they can make good use of set pieces. The threats we have in the team when it comes to set pieces are Pogba, Maguire and Smalling. I can't think of any other. Only two out of those three starts. That's too poor
Man City have just 2 also, Otamendi and Laporte but they're a threat from set play and score more than a fair number of teams from set plays.

City players have the quality to be unpredictable, you don't know if it will be a high cross, low cross or no cross at all. We don't have that quality of players here, we can't demand that from them. We are just giving ourselves headache wishing our team plays like that. I think the coach is trying to play short quick passes until a player is put through on goal but the quality of the final passes is still a work in progress
Abeg stop jor! We can't demand our players improve but the players themselves will hold the board to a ransom for increment in their wages.
For the amount Rashford, Martial, Lingard, Pogba, De Gea and Co get paid weekly, they should be delivering Manchester City-level performances week in, week out.

That Perez guy is very confident on the ball and fast.

The team still needs Messi back and that midfield could do with Authur although Sergi Roberto offers a lot of protection to the defence, an area where age has sincd Busi fail...Good win for the guys and finally, for me, it's been a tough weekend seeing Manchester United lose.

It will be useless to cross in the team because we lack target men. I doubt if they train using cross and nod
It's the quality of the cross and movement of the striker and not necessarily height. Most teams now vary their crosses, low/high cross...

City put in a lot of crosses even when Aguero and Jesus are not the biggest CFs you'd find but the quality of deliveries from KDB, Mendy (if fit), Walker and the rest is what sets them apart.

It's as if they don't practice it in training. Even the long range freekicks are usually placed for Maguire, and because he stays at the extreme edge, the free kick taker usually overplays it to goalkick.

Yesterday's freekicks made me remember Cristiano Ronaldo, times when giving United a free kick was like giving the team a free ticket to goal.
Each time we are awarded a set piece, I look to the stands where the ball will prolly end up.

The idea of looking for the head of Maguire with every corner is already sickening. It's not as if the idea is for him to power a header into the net like Liverpool does with VVD but all for a knockdown.

The standard isn't Spurs but Liverpool and Manchester City...

Even in defeat, you can see the efforts of those Spurs players, they fight till the end. Our players just pass the ball around without creating as much clear cut chances and that's why I look at Lampard and Chelsea and think with a transfer window or two, they just might challenge Pool and City, they create chances and play good and penetrating football.

Lana1, you need to see how I screamed when James celebrated that equalizer. Seriously, I am disappointed.

It's why some of us wanted reinforcement badly, we are very poor from midfield to attack.

De Gea should be axed and Oblak made our number 1 target next summer...

Before I drop, I have serious reservations about Solskjaer.
