What exactly is our football identity under Mou, we can not counter attack, we cannot defend, we can't play possession game, we play like average team and the picture Mou keeps painting is one that depicts us as an average team when in all honesty, only City are better than us.

How will a manager look at Liverpool and think they are better? I mean, he has Pogba, Lukaku, Matic, Sanchez, Martial, Shaw, De Gea, Bailly, Fred etc yet he isn't contented, he wants more. I bet if Mou was the manager of Liverpool, he'd look at our squad and say "Manchester United have a fantastic squad, they had Herrera yet added Matic, they had an exciting young striker, yet added Lukaku, they have Pogba, they had Martial, yet added Sanchez...WE must spend to get to their level"

Mourinho has no excuse not to perform even with our current squad assuming we don't sign anyone, he wants to put it on the board but no, not all of us are fools...After spending more than 300m pounds, he stills thinks Sevilla have better players, he think Tottenham have better players, everybody has better players according to Mou but he'll never admit that the other team's coach is the difference...

Can you now agree that his criticism was sheer jealousy. We were alive when Mourinho in 2005 was buying Wright Phillips for 25m pounds. That's about the same price Barcelona signed each of Etoo and Ronaldinho

At the time Mourinho had the monopoly of spending in EPL and most of England he didn't complain and called himself the special one. The time arsenal, man utd were on austerity mode
Mourinho is never comfortable when he's notthe highest spender

Recently when he is no longer the top spender in Europe it's wailing until he's now doing the same thing he accused teams of doing
Can you compare Stones, Mendy, Walker and Laporte to Alderweireld?

Hope man utd won't be buying defenders for the price of strikers like they criticized man city for especially 29yr old defenders
Look beyond it, he was only hammering on the adverse effect it will have on transfer and sure it did, Van Dijk for 75m is a pointer...
Talking about criticizing targeted at the transfer dealings of football club, your team Bayern leads the way...

He is the worst of the 3 IMO. Smalling at least has some height and stays fit. Both Jones and Rojo are injury prone but Rojo is the worse defender.

I am not impressed by all the ishan and eegun ori he employs to try and win over the fans.
Lol las las they all have to leave for better defenders to come in.

He is just versatile in his mediocrity. Too small and rough to be a good CB, too slow and lacking in skill to be a good LB.
When he is not injuring players with his rash tackles he is getting injured himself from his rash tackles.

We need good to great players in their proper positions not versatile mediocre players like Rojo and Darmian.
Yes he is mediocre but if given an option, will you rather have Jones and Smalling?

It is not too bad a deal as long as he stays fit. He is better than Rojo, Smalling, Jones. Bailly needs a partner who would not leave him unevenly yoked.
Pay the money and offload at least Rojo. Depending on how ready JM thinks Tuanzebe is we can offload Smalling and Jones as well.
If it was up to me, I'd keep Rojo for his versatility (CB & LB) and offload Jones and maybe Smalling depending on Tuanzebe but I think one of Smalling or Jones will be retained for the fact that they are English and contribute to our home grown quota...

Hell naw bra.. It would be an eye sore.. Cos no Wingers..If Shaw can be good then we try either Dalot or TFM.. Then a good pair of CBs to cover of for the full backs wen they overlap. Then Matic will just sit deep and support the CBS wen defending and also string swift and accurate passes when on counter.. This formation will suit Rashford and Martial too even Mata
The center backs won't be tasked to cover for the full backs, that will be the job of Pereira and Fred with Matic covering the midfield...If Pogba wasn't so lazy, he'd have been best as a 6 with his passing ability, the other alternative is Pereira through the middle cos he is the closest to Pogba in terms of his passing but you wonder if Matic has the legs to play either side of a CM (6).

Don't turn Amala. you said United fans are screaming for ungettable players and that's bullshit. Every player has a price and Ronaldo /Neymar transfer proves that. why can't Woodward bring the Neymars and mbappes of this world to United. He did it with pogba who was wanted by both barca and Madrid so what has changed?
The only thing that has changed is that the board much like a section of the fans have lost confidence in his ability to actively compete for trophies while playing attractive football.
When you back a manager as well as the board have done before now, the least you expect is for your employee i.e Mourinho to lose to Sevilla and still have the effrontery to say a lot of Sevilla players are better than the players in his team, SEVILLA OH! Not Barca or Madrid...

Sanchez, Perreira and Fred looked good. De gea too. Let's pray he's forgotten his worldcup woe. Others were horrible.

Mata was up for it at the start, playing the forward role he loves so much but fizzled out in the second half like the lazy sluggish inconsistent sod he is, similar to his performance in the Liverpool match.
Regardless of the goal scored by Herrera, he still looked horrible and couldn't string 2 passes together to save his life.

Our defence looked so awful and terrible. Madrid's little kids could have scored more. The likes of Bailly, TFM, Mctominay (will give him a pass 'cos he's no defender), Shaw, Darmian (regardless of his attacking intent in the first half which contributed to our 2 goals) all looked atrocious and terrible. Looked like sunday league defenders. What a shame. Fortunately, Madrid B and C team were still unfit to hurt us a lot more and wasted lot of their chances.

Can I say I love Ceballos? Looked class apart and every inch of a playmaker in that match. He was so dominant in the midfield. I would even swap him for Pogba 'cos we have no playmaker in our team and Pogba isn't even one. That guy is a real talent. Odegaard looked good as well.
Lol you are seriously overrating Ceballos...
Odegaard passes backwards and sideways too much, he isn't as daring as you'd expect from someone so highly rated

Don't Attach Your Cover Letter

Lol.

What I am just trying to say here is that your Cover Letter shouldn't come as a Word Doc attachment. Send it as an email, with the position you are applying as a subject.

Believe me, most Recruiters don't open that attachment. I know many who don't, I myself inclusive.

The first paragraph of your Cover Letter should be able to sell you, but when you attach your cover letter you would lose that opportunity.

Take a look at this paragraph I copied from a recent cover letter:

I am very interested in the Bleep Bleep position you recently advertised. I believe that my strong educational background and extensive experience in Bleep Bleep make me an appropriate candidate for this position.

As you can see in the enclosed Résumé,

Believe me, the guy sold himself at the second paragraph, that I had to rush to his CV. Now I paid detailed attention to every single word on that CV. It was an impressive CV.

I sent him invite and jotted down his name. I can't wait to meet him.

I don't know about other Recruiters, but I place much value on applications that offer me the opportunity to read the Cover Letter without downloading or opening any file.
Most adverts specifically mentions that you attach your cover letter and your Cv in one document, doing otherwise is not advisable...

Patricmuf, City is way more better than us. They fit the criteria of a world-class team for me. They have one of the best coaches around who's not archaic like Mourinho, and the team has GENERALLY GOOD players with a sprinkle of world-class players like Silva, Aguero and KDB.
Yes they are better than us at the moment but you take a second look at our players and realize most of them are not playing to their potential, maybe it's the system or perhaps they're not motivated enough to give their all, an excuse I am beginning to question considering how much they are paid...I think with the right set up, Pogba, Sanchez, Martial and the likes can offer more...

Madrid team are world-class, even that of Barcelona. I said this because apart from having "3-4 of world-class players" (let's go with your benchmark), they also have GENERALLY TOP/GOOD PLAYERS. It's highly improbable to see a team populated with world-class players all through. What you're going to get are 3-4 world-class and more top players. That's where I think you got it wrong (thinking just 3-4 world-class players ONLY are enough to make a team world-class)

Madrid has world-class players but the first-eleven is filled with top players. How can you not think a team that has/had Ororo, Bale, Kroos, Modric, Varane, Ramos, Isco, Marcelo is not world-class. These are top players.

But United are filled with deadwoods like Young, Shaw, Rojo, Jones, Mctominay etc. If we had a good and sensible coach first and foremost, with a team that's generally good in most positions alongside 3-4 world-class players, we'd be a top team like Madrid and Co.
So who are the world class players in Barcelona? I am sure you'd say Messi, Suarez (He is fat declining), Coutinho, Pique (Also declining), Umtitihuh Busquet, Rakitic...If we look at Spurs, we'd list Alderweireld, Vertoghen (If Pique at this point and Umtiti are world class then he is too), Dembele (If you consider Rakitic world class), Kane, Erikson...That's like 7 for Barca and 5 for Spurs...
At Madrid, you have Ramos, Varane, Marcelo, Modric, Kroos, Casemiro, Bale etc. That's like seven, the others are top performers...
At City, you have Aguero, KDB, D.Silva, Gundogan, Fernandinho that's five players but I'm sure a lot of folks will look at City and refer to them as a world class team...

Spurs might not have smae number of world class players in their ranks but they have other top performers like Trippier, Lloris, Son, Rose etc...

I don't agree that 3-4 world-class players are enough to make a team world-class because judging with your benchmark, with Pogba, De Gea and Sanchez, why are we still wailing about our team being average?

And I also disagree that Vertoghen and Alderweireld are world-class defenders. The likes of Ramos, Pique in his prime, Godin, Chellini, etc., are several levels above any Spuds CBs.
Is Barcelona a team of world class players currently? How about Real Madrid, we are going somewhere with this discussion, Chelsea nko?

We are not wailing about our team being average, we are asking for good players and specifically specialist to be signed to man each position, Mahrez is good and not necessarily world class, Rebic/Perisic are not world class but they can do a job and do it well and that's what we crave for, not super signings...This is what a greater number not folks here imply from their comments here.

Your last paragraph is true but you must also realize that whilst Robben in his prime was world class, he was several levels below Messi just as Rakitic is several levels below Modric and so on...

World what? huh Don't overhype Spuds players, mbok. I'm sure that average Joe called Alli is world-class in your eyes. For proving himself for over 3 seasons now, Kane is the only world-class player at Spurs and Eriksen as well. There's is a difference between a good player and a world-class player. Spurs have good players, not world-class players. The likes of Dier, Trippier, Sanchez, etc are not world-class. Let's not be deceived.

And what Levy does to keep his players that are considered very important is to slam exorbitant money as their buy-out clauses, same way Chelsea is insisting on 200m for Madrid to get Hazard. That way, clubs will think long and hard before coming to price any of them away. If we're interested in Wayama who's surplus to requirement at White Hart Lane, or the ageing Dembele, they won't cost us much. But if we inquire about Eriksen and Co, na from 80m upwards.
I didn't mention Alli, I made reference to Kane, Erikson and Alderweireld in my subsequent post to buttress my point and there's no denying that they are indeed world class...
3---4 players of world standard in a teams qualifies you to term them a team of world class players...Kane, Erikson, Alderweireld and heck even Vertoghen will earn two to three times the amount they're currently earning at Spurs if they played for us, City, Chelsea or any of the big guns.
For the records, I don't rate Alli that high.
