Looks a lot like a schoolmate of mine back in the days...It's sad that youths in my village have embraced cultism and other social vices... |
Someone should login with an alternate and download us with info on the latest gang war... |
Unlimited22:Rakitic, Modric and Kovacic |
elrony:Lol we're not going to make it past the group stage... |
edidiongmichael:A country that promotes strong men rather than build strong institutions is doomed... Akpabio has just one vote bro, we should stop making this kind of callous statements. |
diggz:Nope... |
Hausa diggers are here, I am out... |
For some, it's only members of Redcafe that have sense...Lol |
Nihilstjnr:We are not talking about Fabregas or Cahill here... ![]() |
afrodoc2:Most likely gala... Lol |
neezar:E get people wey dey carry imaginary beef for head dey waka but if you call them hawker now na problem... |
It's all a matter of perception, leaving while the ovation is loudest or when you can't give enough... I always prefer you don't leave whilst you're hot (that's how Mace screwed up), keep going till you can't move no more, keep conquering until there's no new lands up for grabs... Zlatan came, saw and indeed he wrote his name in gold...Old Trafford will never forget you Zlatan, at some point, I binned the world time and only knew Zlatan time, a beast right from his youthful days all through to Ajax, Juventus, Inter, AC Milan, Barcelona, PSG and finally, the grandest of stages, the Theater of Dreams, Old Trafford, he treated us to magnificent football defying his size every time he took to the pitch... Zlatan like Ronaldo De Lima changed the way strikers played, known for burying even half chances and highly involved in the build up play he was class apart. Old Trafford will miss your big personality, your dedication and huge ego matched with your intimidating size... They'll never be another Zlatan, take a bow Ibracadabra. #magic #Beast

neezar:Very good question, some of us are at war with ourselves... |
Nihilstjnr:Expository...The things people do to cling on to power... |
Diggz who is behind this your proposed transfer? I'm asking just so that I can come here and cuss the hell outta the person when you start beasting in faraway lands just the way you do Mourinho each time De Bruyne and Salah scores... |
dubylhover:Valencia were that bad, it has very little to do with Neville, we have also seen top coaches fail, who would've thought Benitez will be coaching a wack team like Newcastle after his early years with Valencia and Liverpool...Coach are paid to do their job as II is for analyst like Jamie Carragher and Neville... |
dubylhover:Then we shouldn't be here cos we are not ex footballers or coaches... |
raumdeuter:Ferdinand won the UCL... Victor Valdes also won 2-3 UCL too, does that make him better than Kahn? Torres has won the UCL and World cup, is he better than Lima Ronaldo? Ryan Griggs never won an international trophy, does that make Nani better than him? |
raumdeuter:Messi reached numerous finals, does it compensate for not winning one? Oga, the motto is get rich or die trying. If you're not rich, you're not rich... |
raumdeuter:But but you always say England are a pack of average players... I'm curious to know why you choose to focus on Serbia, how about Carvalho with Portugal or is Portugal also a small team compared to England? |
chic2pimp:Ferdinand won also won the UCL... Wes Brown also did, so winning trophies is not a yardstick... Terry and Ferdinand were class... |
Lukaku was scoring frequently at West Brom and most recently Everton thus for him to be posing lesser numbers here, we need to take a close look at the coach and the system cos the advantage in quality we have over West Brom and Everton is unquestionable... Our build up play is slow and our fullback are most tasked with defending rather than joining the attack (sorry Luke Shaw), we are treated to uninspiring football after spending bucket loads but no, let's blame Lukaku who gives his all on the pitch. He has limitations but it's obvious he is working hard to get over them, you can't fault him, not after seeing he plays with Lingard, Fellaini, Smalling, Young etc |
raumdeuter:Oga stop it already, what did Vidic and Carvalho win with Serbia and Portugal respectively? How well did they shone away from their respective clubs? |
weedtaker:Pray tell, how many assist has De Bruyne playing a similar position to Lingard? Lingard scoring goals more than he creates is only a pointer that he isn't quite as effective as an AM, that's where he comes short, his contemporaries at Man City, Arsenal and Co are popping up with assist and some goals and generally affecting the play more but he doesn't do his primary role well enough. The goals are they to mask his otherwise poor performance as the main link between our defense and attack. De Bruyne night not score but he makes City tick just as Ozil, Erikson, Coutinho, Willian etc Please look at the aforementioned players and compare them to Lingard and tell me if he is delivering half the performance they put up week in, week out. |
elampiro:Stats don't tell the whole story, Mkhitaryan comes to mind... So you mean most of the matches Lingard has started, the plan was to counter the threat of the opposition we came up against? If so, then that's the issue with Mou, setting up always to contain the opposition rather than the other way around. |
We all depend on what we're fed, it's Mourinho who has been talking ever since the disgraceful outing vs Sevilla, it's him who told he had spent two days practicing quick transition all because he was criticized for being too conservative. He is talking now that the players didn't implement his method as much as he would have liked just so he can be absolved of any blame, that's cheap if you ask me. I watched Man City for the first time against Arsenal last season in a friendly match after Pep had just taken over and the first thing I noticed was each time the keeper had the ball, the two CBs split and the DM drops back to occupy the auxiliary CB role giving the keeper 3 options to play out of defense. Now that's a coach whose imprint you can immediately point to. This season, when Walker was bought, the rave all over the English press was that Pep had gotten his man, another Alves but Pep came out to say Walker is quick, yes but also brainless and noted that he'll go about teaching Walker to use his brain often...Now go and watch Walker and tell me if he isn't playing better and playing more with his head rather than pace... I can't point to a pattern under Mourinho, at least with LVG, it was possession football (only downside was the lack of penetration), with Mou, we just seem to go out hoping one moment of individual brilliance decides the contest or long hopeful balls to Fellaini... If Mou continue pushing the blame to the players, be rest assured that sooner rather than later, they'll revolt... |
Inconsequential match, this is not against Messi in a UCL semi final. And I hope you're not praying for errors like these to happen often just so you can come back to Airmark here with your bants. Na your team oh! |
eph12:Very useless, only thing he's got is good shooting technique and sometimes, positioning otherwise he is the perfect representation of a headless chicken, he beats Pedro to it... |
elampiro:Oga easy on the lies, Fergie used Rooney in the Pogba role, how do you keep a straight face and compare Rooney's role in midfield with Lingard who ordinarily should be linking our midfield and attack but due to his technical deficiencies is forced to run around just to deceive folks like you. Next time you sit to watch our match, take a closer look at Lingard, he'll drive forward with the ball when there's space but once he encounters an opposition player, he'll run into him and lose the ball...This is serious activity... J.S. Park was not just all hustle, he could pass, dribble and score occasionally, he was perfect almost every time, his role was even limited at United compared to his PSV days where he played mostly from the wings/AM position (case in point, watch PSV vs Milan, UCL semis or quarters in 2007)...Park was a very intelligent player, hard worker, yes but technically good. I am of the opinion that he should be loaned out if Pogba must blossom cos he plays too much and ends up distracting others, all those childish handshakes and stuffs are not for serious footballers... |
elampiro:This bolded sums up our approach to games, we now set up to counter the threat of teams instead of teams setting up to counter the threat we pose...This is the reason why Lukaku isn't scoring enough... How on earth do you start Fellaini in your most important game of the season and expect your striker to thrive, Elampiro, if you saw that game vs Sevilla, we kept on aiming long balls to Fellaini who originally was part of a two man midfield, this stupid tactic left Matic all on his own for the most part in that first half. We hardly create goal scoring opportunities for our forwards compared to our rivals and to be honest, our best croses into the box this season has been done by who? Lukaku...He isn't the standard but he has been class above the rest for the past month and a half... I still don't know why Mou disrupted the Lukaku - Martial partnership in favor of Sanchez... |
joeace2020:Oga leave that thing, what is the responsibility of a coach if not to get his ideas across to the players and interpreted on the pitch? If the boys are not playing to instruction, you have a large squad, make changes. This is his second season and we can't point to one area of improvement in our team, if the players are not good enough, whose fault? Most definitely his fault cos he has had four transfer windows already and close to 300m pounds to fix this yet we are still treated to uninspiring football. Whilst he is at his business of blame games, he should tell us who is sanctioning the contract renewals of the same average players. |
