Leyqute: We got Ibrahimovic for free. How much is Sanchez commanding? How many 29 year-old forward signings continued to play at the same intensity for years in their new clubs? Robben is still Bayern's best player, Suarez is still firing, Ibra until his injury was still scoring. At the current market where a relative unknown, Malcolm is priced at 40m, Auba at 70m etc The total page for Sanchez believed to be around 103m sounds like a steal to me. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 7:43am On Jan 16, 2018 |
Leyqute: And the previous year he was the highest scorer at psg. An ageing player is an ageing player is an ageing player.
How many years did we get from Rooney after he turned 30? How many +40m players give world class performances consistently after turning 30? You just can't write him off, he is not Rooney. You can't choose to focus on the negative aspect (age) while completely ignoring his footballing talent. Giggs played into his late 30's, Ronaldo won the Ballon D'Or at 32, Lampard, Xavier and so many others have played at the top level until about 34-35 years, so Sanchez should be given the benefit of the doubt. |

dopeJemi: Una dey make me laugh
Those of you saying we should get mahrez, have you heard any report that says we are interested in him? Sanchez is being served on a platter for us to buy and una dey say make we buy Mahrez wey the club no dey even look him side, the earth will not shake if we get both players, Because if we lose Sanchez to Man City or Chelsea and not sign Mahrez we will be the biggest losers in the TW, Why not take the quality that is placed in front of you rather than fantasize about fairy tale signings that don't seem imminent
Dem put Fried rice with chicken for your front, you say na Jollof rice wey you no dey see na you want, you go die of hunger Lol very funny...Sanchez is a must even as we hope the club gets an upgrade on our current RW options. |

nezzar: We should just let shekpe take sanchez....dude is just 29
Griezmann or dybala would be the ideal signing for the team in the summer How does getting Sanchez affect the signing of Griezmann or Dybala who can comfortably play and improve our RW? Sanchez will most likely replace Lingard in our starting 11 as the man behind Lukaku and that leaves us still needing an upgrade on Mata on the RW wing which is where the players you listed can fit in. |

larride: It can be argued that at least Pep coached Barça B and was very rated there, also Zidane coached Madrid Castilla. Wales don't come any close to Barca or Madrid thus coaching their B teams isn't anyway close to the level you expect from their respective coaches. A fantastic playing career and knowledge of a particular teams also adds up to a coaches CV and that's what I think gave Giggs, Zidane and Pep the edge over their rivals for the job. |

eph12: Depends on the National team. Wales are not looking to win the world cup or championship. They just need to enjoy themselves so it's not a high-pressure job that a low profiler can't do or shouldn't be given Funny thing is that if Bellamy got the job, he'd be at peace with himself... |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 7:50pm On Jan 15, 2018 |
BushWickBill: Agreed. But not at the top like the national team job. Qualifications for such usually include some top-level experience. That appointment was a sentimental one, one that united almost made with him.
Wish him well though Should we take a trip down memory lane just so we can see other cases where vastly inexperienced coaches or starters got jaw dropping jobs and performed excellently too? |

sinizia: Na so my brother. Sanchez is a good player, but let's not forget our RW that's all we ask for. The RW has been our problem for years now, if we don't rectify that problem, it'll always return to haunt us. Let's get Sanchez and Mahrez and call it a day. Mahrez can't be more than 40mil. Roma were coming with 30mil but Leicester were asking for 35-40mil. We can afford that amount. Get both players. 50m na small change, Ed should do the needful. |

CapitalCee: why not get mahrez, Sanchez and Ozil. Mkhi and and Felliani moving out There's a problem with getting both Sanchez and Ozil now, who do you register for the UCL since you are only allowed tregister one of them since both have appeared in the Europa league. |

slimghost: I am not sure Sanchez is what we need right now but when a player like this becomes available, you deal! . We can never go wrong signing such a world-class player. Beside, I think Mourinho intends to play him behind Lukaku. Of course we should get him. If only we can get Mahrez in addition, I'd be very confident of our chances especially in the UCL |

kelvinze: Sometimes its good for this so called football expert to see the truth...If Sanchez moves to Mancity..he'll certainly be benched cos Sane and sterling are in d form of their lives so where will sanchez play ..Whereas at Man utd...he'll definitely solve our problem in dah wing position...that means we have solved one of our problems already..so Saying Sanchez should go to man city because they r playing good footie at d moment (instead of playing regularly) is not d better option . Except l that Sanchez only improves our left wing/AM, he doesn't solve our right wing problem. |
