It is you who has decided to be disingenuous with the truth concerning the expiry date of Mbuemo's current contract which is crystal clear!

The club hold the aces, we are negotiating with the club. If Mrviktor was wrong in his consideration, does it mean we all must follow the same path even when it is clearly stated there that the club has an option to extend his deal for a year?

Mbeumo has one year left on his contract, and the club has the exclusive right to extend it for another year. This effectively means they have him for the next two seasons. Also, the club is aware that he is a forward who can ensure a strong goal return, which significantly increases their chances of remaining a Premier League team over the next two seasons. This stability translates into greater earnings, so any potential suitor will be informed that the club can exercise its option to renew the contract for another year as a strong bargaining tool.

For the club to have made it an "option" clearly shows the uncertainty around the extension. They are obviously looking to reassess the player's form, club's financial status etc - a direct contradiction to the definitive statement you are trying to credit them with.

You are getting it wrong. Adisa made reference to Delap as if to say we could not sign one of our targets or rather that he rejected us which is why I responded that if it was a problem of money then we wouldn't be after Cunha who cost twice Delap's fee and if it was a case of we not being able to attract players, then Cunha is obviously the better player yet it is close to joining us.

The point is that if we wanted Delap, we'd have activated the release clause; his deciding to come or not is the issue.
