I did an expansive treatise on it but it was all wiped out during the Nairaland hack.

FIXED! grin
And that's relative btw.

Hmmm......
There's really nothing more I gotta say on the matter.

But I'll have you know that not everybody always has a motive for showing an act of kindness/benevolence.

Y'know, I even downplayed the whole story, I didn't want to divulge it all, as it happened.

Every thing I stated up there was another way of me surreptitiously making certain facts/points known.

A lady can be intelligent, smart, beautiful, highly sought after, and still spend on a guy who isn't remotely an acquaintance.

It all depends on the things she places value on.

You talk of him being a customer, which might have been what prompted me, well, it doesn't matter what you believe or not.

I made that call, solely because he requested that I do. I had that airtime on my phone, kini big deal?

It's no use building a mountain out of one tiny mole hill abeg undecided

Okay, lemmee describe another scenario.

On two occassions, I have wired the sums of 5k and sent airtime to persons who I met online, whom I've never seen in real life.
I have to add though, that I'm very good friends with one and I really don't know the other one, so to speak.

In both cases, I was convinced they direly needed the money. I was in a position to help and I did.

Luckily, they both asked for my account number and paid me back......even giving me extra money sef (one of them).

What d'ya make of that?

Oh, you'll say, I prolly had the hots for them et al, but even if I did (of course I didn't), wouldn't it have been described as sheer stupidity on my part, by the guy next door for doing something of that nature?

I could go on and cite more examples.

But, I'm a very intuitive person, when I'm led to give or show kindness, I do so, without really taking into stock, what's in it for me or not.

I believe that there are ladies and guys like that out there too.

And owh, Ty. It's okay to subtly blow your trumpet every once in a while.

I am Mizmycoli, I am Intelligent, beautiful and strong, I think I have a beautiful heart. I believe the world is a better place because I'm in it.

Politics › Re: Why Do Some Igbos On Nairaland Think I Am Not An Igbo Person by patrickmuf(m): 8:13am On Oct 07, 2014
Tokunbohkinibig:
Chaiii!!!! Igbo men!!! Reason why i wish igbo men would allow their women to rule over them because all the igbo ladies i have met either online or offline are more intelligent, smart, reasonable and untribalistic than their men.

The moment someone has different opinion to their tribal views, they would result to all sort of blackmails such as this. Berem and this lady are being treated like this cos they have got different views to all their tribal engagements here on Nairaland. This attitude here has now made me realised why someone like Nnamdi Azikwe stayed away from their agitation for Biafra.

Individually, if you have four neighbours as an individual and your four neighbours hate you for obvious reasons, won't you ask yourself some questions as an individual? I guess you ll. If you choose or decide to attribute the hatred to the fact that they are jealous of you (I ve seen load of people like this in life; instead to look inward, they ll say dis and dat just to justify their bad attitude but thk God, after listening to words of wisdom, some tgat ladies are now married and they never stop saying Thanks for telling them the truth then ), you are only putting yourself in bad position. Arrogantly, you create more enemies than friends for youself.

Finally, I took my time to study igbos guys here on Nairaland and Facebook during Fani Kayode YORUBA/APC issues and my findings were shocking and revealing. Then, I ll go to Cffk page on Facebook and igbo guys(going by their names and topics in view then) were calling him all sort of names simply cos he was a member of APC Party. They attacked him cos he supports his own people but when someone from their own tribe gives them contrary opinion on their tribal views, they labelled that person all sort of names. The question i asked myself then was, do they want everybody either you are yoruba, Hausas, ijaw or fulani to support their view against their own people? and funny enough, this same guys can't stand unloyal attitude among their own people .

Fast forward to today, Go to Chief Femi Fani Kayode page on Facebook now, you ll discover that he has become their darling today cos his views seem to suit them at moment. You ll see them singing his praise and dancing with him cos his views about incumbent president has changed to favour them; and of course a PDP member now.
Igbos and mourinho are of similar mindset "Us against the world"
They feel for them to thrive they must adopt this slogan...The truth is nobody hates you lots, the hate is just a blockade in you heads that stops most of you from being rational in your thoughts...

Teejizzle:
I wonder how some people will want a tribe of about 20 million people to reason and see things the same way. Even members of a family cannot see things the same way. Where is diversity? Yoruba, Hausa, even Ijaw are split between APC and PDP. Thats repulblican. Yet people that claim to be repulblican want to be like a sheep goaded in d same direction-thats d irony of it.
The north and sw you victimise and call names today voted Gej into that position. The north made it possible for him to win d pdp ticket against their own Atiku. Gej even beat him in his state of Adamawa. Where is born to rule then?
So stop blackmailing the north and sw as they are the ones that made him the president, not you. You are only hijacking him and we know why. Its your nature. AGIP.
Now ask urselves:
can gej win d pdp ticket without the north?
Can Gej win d presidential election without the north and sw?
The main supporters of gej are northerners and swesteners. Not u noisemakers. But u dnt expect a whole ethnic group to see things d same way. We av our independent minds unlike u barbarians!
I voted gej in 2011 and am unimpressed with his style governance so i yawn for a change. My mum still suports him and she has not disowned me for that.
You are indeed intelligent...

Politics › Re: Why Can't APC Present Fashola As Presidential Candidate by patrickmuf(m): 6:02pm On Oct 03, 2014
Gbawe: Is it not time you guys talking of "Fashola for 2015" face the reality of your own country for god sake? Why continue to talk as if Nigeria is the most sophisticated democracy in the world with the most discerning and refined electorate when the reality is that your people are unashamedly ethnocentric, highly prejudiced, currently very divided plus religiously and sectionally biased?

Present Fashola and the North will be largely apathetic. If you are from the SW do you think SW votes alone will defeat the "consensus candidate" of the PDP i.e Jonathan? If from the North, do you think the North, given all that has happened, is currently in the mood to vote for a ticket without a Northern Presidential candidate? If you are from the SS and SE do you want to fool yourself that many of your folks will vote Fashola instead of GEJ? You guys go on, without any pragmatism whatsoever, about Fashola for President without realising that the reality of your nation means you are asking the APC to commit suicide doing this.

It is not about the APC being "sincere". Fashola is a treasured and important member of the Party. He will play a very important part now or in the future. What the APC will not do is foolishly heed the "present Fashola and I will vote for APC" blackmail noise common to Nigerians from the SE and SS when the world knows many are already 100% committed to voting for Jonathan. Face the reality of your nation. Doing so will allow you all to tell the truth and shame the devil. Anyone really interested in the defeat of the PDP will see and focus on what can achieve that and not tout some pipe dream the reality on the ground can never achieve.
Excellent analysis

Whereas I subscribe to gender equality, I still think it is wrong to compare what's obtainable in Germany with what we have here...In the typical African setting, women have been ascribed the role of cooking just as men cut grasses...With time things may change as globalization gets to our door step but for now, don't force it.

bushdoc9919: Well, the reason why countries like America, UK and Germany are at the top of the tree is due to these factors.

1.)Look at the history and even the films that are produced in those countries. A good number of those films are about inventors and innovators . Like the film 'A beautiful mind'...which was about the Mathematician John Nash. Recently,Japanese animator Hayao Mizakao (I am a fan of his) produced an animated film about the life of a famous Japanese avaition designer.

In Nigeria....has someone made a film about even a fictional Nigerian inventor?

Point: Countries that glorify inventors will produce more inventors.

2.Most of those countries invest heavily in education. And their education is geared towards producing problem solvers. The education system in Finland for example has practical classes at all levels,(and keeps science class sizes small). In a small school in Quebec, Canada, a group of children learned basic management skills by setting up and running a factory that produced skipping rope(ok...they had help from the parents...and it was not a large building BTW). Even in China...a class of 8 year olds at a school had a small election campaign....as a means of learning about voting and democratic practice.

In Nigeria,we are merely interested in teaching children how to be good clerical staff....and how to pass exams. Even our practicals do not include a means of solving problems in the environment(until you get to university and even then).

Plus...Nigeria does not spend more on techncial education, and a chap who goes to techncial school isw considered a dullard. Meanwhile...it is the technical people who are responsible for economic growth in most countries(Good example...Germany....which was able to come back from the devastation of WW2...because they had the techies).

Point: Nigerian Education does not teach problem solving skills adequately. It just produces clerical staff

3.Our economy in Nigeria is resource dependent. It made sense in the 60's....we would gain revenue from selling raw materials and then use the raw materials to develop our education and supporting infrastructure for industiral growth. That was the idea...until the end of the 1970's.Then we threw that idea away, and became a resource dependent economy. By 1997....96% of our revenues came from oil. Today it is 88-95%.

An oil dependent economy is one that imports and imports....and imports. And imports stifle local industries. And once the local industries are stifled.....jobs are lost and unemployment results. It even becomes unprofitable to run industries (that's why we do not have a strong industrial manufacturing base....who wants to manufacture made in Nigeria radios or cars...when we can import the same things and sell for a hefty profit...that is why Innoson is one of my heroes...and that man must not be allowed to fail). And imports cost a lot of money....which means inflation results. And when oil prices fall....scarcity results (that is why things were hard in the 1980's).

Point: Bushdoc's maxim: Oil dependent societies, unless they have small populations or large ,diversified and primarily industrial economies, cannot ever prosper.

4.Most states in Nigeria prefer to eat oil money, rather than use the resources, human and natural, to develop strong industrial bases. Of course this is the fault of the mindset of most Nigerians....we think that development is recieving our share of the money from Abuja every month. How that money is generated means nothing to us. Our States...with the exception of Lagos, are big drains on our economy. And that is the problem.

States have to start developing...not collecting money from Abuja to award contracts. The road to development starts with education, law and order, strong supporting infrastructure.....and an end to corruption.

5.Corruption thrives in Nigeria because we prefer to share money...rather than to work for it.If we were an industrial society...by default we would work hard for the money....because that is the only way we can get it (And states will be well run., because that is the only way they can attract industries....who will pay a good and hefty tax revenue...which would be used for essential services). But because we are so reliant on oil....we just collect the money and do zero., zilch, nothing.Because we know that the money is comming, regardless of circumstance. Meanwhile, because of the large unemployment caused by Dutch disease economics...it would pay to get close to whoever is in charge of the piggy bank. That is why elections in Nigerian are never peaceful...because it is all about how the money is shared.(By contrast, elections in the developed World are peaceful...because the leaders have to work for the money....it isn't handed to them from their capitals as their share from oil exports....it must be worked for by attracting local and international investors.

The above is some of the reasons why Nigeria, which in the year 1960 was ahead of many South Asian countries....is backward today. We must urgently address these issues if we are to stop crawling. Having another national conference, or granting resource control will not solve these problems....it would merely guarantee their continuation.
Just love your explicit response devoid of insults as is the norm here...Cheers!!!
