blink182: yeah those Stations have something wrong with their picture.

Here is my list even though it shouldn't be a list.

Nta is the worst when it comes to content of their news and sound quality-their sound engineers should be properly trained.

Silverbird and channels despite having very rich content, totally miss it when it comes to picture quality and channels tv has a very ugly studio that makes you feel you are watching tv in 1988.

Ait is like...I don't even know how to describe it. Their volume control is so bad, I can't watch Ait without holding TV remote. One minute they are so low then you increase the tv volume only for them to take a break and you nearly go deaf. Then they return to the show and the volume is gone again. There hasn't been a single day they got it right.

Just a little comparison, I have been watching bbc since 1993 or so and I have never had to regulate volume. Same goes for cnn. While some may want to argue those stations are huge, we are only covering sound control. Can't Ait or nta afford to train just one sound engineer at BBC's broadcasting school.

And why do nigerian stations find it so hard to switch between their news room and video report. There is no day nta, ait, silverbird, channels and the others won't have their newscaster starring at the camera for a long time before saying "sorry, we will bring you that report later in the news".

There's too much room for improvement. Sometimes, it feels like we haven't started at all.

we got channel 7, amc's, maraton, CNN cable news network

Maybe this will help you: Achebe is not and does not claim to be a Doctor nor the solution to your Nigeria. he is a Biafrian in Heart who was forced to live with a Nigerian Passport. he owes you and Nigeria absolutely Nothing, not even allegiance as he lived the remainder of his life outside the cesspit. his achievement are for him and anyone one who cares for it, which happens to be the rest of the world. if you do not, stick to your drowning great one Nigeria!

U said it all.... Achebe was a biafran activist.. As such he neva contributed to the overall progress of Nigeria.. He's primary Goal was an independent state of biafra..
Now the question... Someone who pushed for a divided Nigeria and was unrepentant even wen everyone called for unity after the civil war, someone who preached doom for the country: should such person be considered as a factor promoting the development of Nigeria as a whole... No.
With this I still stand on the point, put forward by the poster; achebe was a wonderfull writer appreciated by Africa and the World generally... But for God's sake dats where it Ended. He might be an icon to the southerners politically; buh to Nigeria, he was de opposite!!!!

The main idea the poster was trying to generate was that although chinua achebe was a literary genius, he neva channeled this talent into positively affecting nigeria....
Let's look at this analogy... Nigeria is suffering from a malignant tumour.. Now most Doctors know dat there is little hope, does dat mean we shud then kill nigeria.... NOOO. We continue to apply various theraupies in hope dat this will cure or improve the condition of the patient(nigeria)....
Achebe was a literary icon, but nothing more....datz all
