Siena: The Mazda 626 was never built with a 1.2L engine. The GLX trim was available with a 2.0L engine, LX was a 1.6 or 1.8L.like a boss.. |
Now you ate speaking from the other side of your mouth. Recall very well that you mentioned nothing of other factors. Your post said and I quote: 'now, most nigerians feel the number of cores a processor hastranslates into its functionality and performance.. actually that is not the case most times as seen here..' Your post was focused on CPU prowess so don't twist it now. If you know about benchmarking software you will know that Geekbench tests only CPU performance and so what I posted destroys your argument that a dual core A9 outperforms a quad core A7. I have had extensive hands on use with the Grand Duos, its a nice phone but my Dream D1 quite visibly outperforms it in any screen clarity, processing power, graphics quality or any other spec you care to mention while being cheaper. Quadcore is not just great in theory it also translates to solid real world performance.
lemme be straight.. Based on raw individual speeds of cores, quad cores are generally faster... But in translating this speed functionality into the normal day to day usage speed of the smartfone the dual cores are more proficient.. Mind you, the main yardstick for developing quad cores was to decrease the cache vol. on each cpu so as to have more independent cpu's handling different tasks, thereby increasing their efficiency in handling multiple tasks at thesame time.. Now more cores translate to more circuit distance btw d individual cores resulting in longer time for signals to travel from one core to d oda and also signal damping, all these coalesce to reduce the overall speed of the quad core... Quad cores will outperform dual cores only when one uses a device that requires tremendous multitasking, and most andriod multitasking is below average in a scale of the tremendous.. |
When Nigerians start making benchmarking software then you post will be valid. Till then you have only tenuous proof. Here is my Geekbench score. Post a Geekbench score for the Grand Duos or be quiet.
hello!!! now if u read in btw d lines of my post u'll discover that i mentioned a point .. 'in day to day usage of phones'.. forget what geekbench is telling u.. this situation can be likened to having a car with a v8 engine but poor transmission and the likes d v8 engine doesnt automatically translate to speed as it has to work in balance with other factors to get desired results in the end, your smartphone's internal performance boils down to more than the number of cores. Instead, it depends on a delicate balance involving everything from your base chip and batteries to your operating system, and even on the people who code your favorite apps. Quad-core is great in theory |
I will go with Phantom A+ Phatom is cute, and slimmer, unlike the duos with those ugly curvy edges... Don't be f00led with updates.. There is really nothing to update aside the custom ROM.. Just to educate some peeps here, the fact that you use an android 2.1 samsung doesn't mean you are allowed to update to 4.3 and every other new versions.. Dont be deceive.. The highest update a 2.2 android can get is 2.3! of which there is no noticeable difference between these two! Your samsung gingerbread will always be gingerbread.. You can't update any rubbish beyond gingerbread.. For the guy shouting 4k brand difference..Don't be a liar! As at this minute. Jumia sells Phantom A+ for N35,495 www./Phantom-A%2B(White)-65815.html And the duos sells between N49,000 - 53,000. That is about N15,000 difference between the two phones... For those condemning the screen of Phantom! Liars you are! Both phones will scratch at the same speed.. Same material.. No gorilla-screen for both! Its left for you to choose what you want.. Goodluck..
get ur facts right.. i use an s2, started from 2.3 gingerbread currently on 4.1 jellybean |
Flawed analysis. A dual core A9 can not be faster than a quad core A7 at the same speed. Core for core, yes the A9 is faster but with multiplied cores the speed advantage drops off. You just look at at the benchmark scores for the Grand Duos and for a device running a MT6589 chipset.
now, most nigerians feel the number of cores a processor has translates into its functionality and performance.. actually that is not the case most times as seen here.. the tecno quad core does not beat the samsung dual core wen it comes to functionality, as in day to day usage of phones dual cores are faster.. although quad cores are very efficient for multitasking their penchant for guzzling power is discouraging. even the iphone 5 uses a dual core as opposed to a quad core, so wat are we saying
Flawed analysis.
