Transcribers, una Weldone oooo. My first 2 GIGs were 8 & 9 minutes calls. Did not see any 2/3 minutes calls there to transcribe. The least was 8 minutes call. I wonder how a newbie like me would be transcribing such long calls. I had to release them las las since i could not meet up with time given to transcribe. I'll try again, maybe in the evening. I had no issues with the reps but those customers are something else. Would have to play the audio over and over before I could have a grasp of what they're saying. Phew! It's really exasperating. Anyways, it's all good. Maybe it will be better in the evening, don't know yet. The overall experience was great and y'all were a lot helpful with the things y'all posted in the previous posts. U probably picked funding circle Uk or any other UK call. Their accent is a nuisance even for top transcribers next time if u see a 8 mins or 9 min call and the time allocated is 3 hours something mins pick it those ones are mostly easier to hear and decipher. There is a formula for it but if a long call is given smaller time to finish than the others then it is surely American accent call.

I feel once you accidentally or intentionally delete the timestamp just release the call and be more careful next time even if you bring it back with Ctrl+Z. Though this problem is not affecting all new platform members I don't think so. Maybe 20 or 25% beta platform members are affected by this.

It's extra carefulness. Efosa suggested copying and pasting the transcripts in another chat bubble and then editting there. I was going to try that but I felt I would have to clear out the old part with the timestamp that I left up after working on the by passed transcripts I posted down without the time stamps. So thats like double work cus I go still go up again to clear out the words while carefully avoiding to erase the timestamp on the new platform. Cus the glitch is once you delete even one timestamp it will disrupt the code if you try carefully to delete the timestamp and delete it small small you will see stuffs like "&i:" after the timestamp. If you delete the timestamp accidentally or intentionally it will result in seeing the unedited transcripts in your finished work making you score 1.

The key is carefully managing not to disturb the timestamp from where it is. Even if it's in the middle of a sentence just pretend it's not there and continue with your space or comma or whatever else. I did and I scored a 5 so I tried again and this time I deleted the timestamps cus I felt the issue was resolved by QA omo nah so i see 1 o and when I checked the failed transcripts it was the same problem a section of it was still there untouched. Even the redo you will still fail it because it's structured for you to fail cus the timestamps are situated in a way that you'll have no choice but to delete them unless you can spend extra time just deleting the words and avoid touching the timestamp. So my advice once you see score of 1 and it's cus by this same problem just leave the redo alone. It's easier for PC users but this new platform will be more strenous on smart phone users but like shite faced Arlen said QA is not meant to be used on a smart phone or tablet. Anyone else who had this same problem like should share their experience or what they think went wrong. I was very guilty of deleting the timestamp and the one time I did not touch it I scored a 5. I simply ignored the timestamp like it was Samsard. LMAO JK man JK man lol

Funny enough I masked a debit card number once and they marked me down. Sometimes those raters don't know what they're doing. Check the FAQ well well.

Yeah, probably for her though, cos for me I was just making her know that the new snippet thing was not making any sense, especially for smartphone users, I think she was really stressed too cos everybody was complaining about the failure of their unnecessary updates, and how scripts were being submitted with the auto transcripts and all that jazz.

Two I remember when I made an error and posted a call CID here and one bros corrected me like a human being should be spoken to, that is manner of approach. When you treat me like an equal and not your underling then you'll get equal if not more respect from me. But when you want to correct me and start a conversation with "This guy what's your problem" and you say things like "do you want to spoil the chance for other people?" I'm sorry to say buy I will react even more than that. I accept correction in fact I like corrections because I learn from them. But you still get mind enter my WhatsApp dey do the same thing again I'm not an animal and I'm not a lunatic either, i gave you back what you gave me. With me you get what you give. All my journey on QA has been trial and error, I make mistakes and I learn from them and never repeat them. I'm not your son or younger brother so talk to me like two adults not like you're rebuking b child. By the way when are ready to make an effort to talk with courtsey then I will consider unblocking you on WhatsApp but for now your ass stays blocked.

It's not the rater. Take a quick glance at the failed script you'd see that a very large portion of it was submitted as untouched like 60% of wetin you transcribe o.

i dey hot. i para for this one like.... wetin concern me with stupid update wey una dey do. we dey talk say make something grade una dey talk update.

. Kilon shele bayi. Rating wey I dey suffer build till 4.1 just crash enter 2.6 and Sunday is fast approaching with 16 5s 4 left to go to silver badge. Is this how they will sack me bayi? I can't even attempt another call with the para para rater on the loose.

I saw similar complaints on slack this morning too. The lady said she edited everything, but after review she got 1. And when she checked her transcript, it was returned exactly as it was generated by the auto transcript.

I think it's the introduction of timestamp on the new platform. I transcribe yesterday morning and there was no time stamp.

i have reported on slack. They said the issue is currently under investigation cus other transcribers have complained as well and she'll get back to me. they just spoil my rating for me. Now i dey fear to touch another call sef

I saw this on both failed scripts. as if i didnt touch the call at all. i hate cheating for my life. if i fail i go know say i fail make correction and learn but this is not fair at all.

Whoever that's on duty today is either trying to fail people knowingly or doesn't know what he or she is doing. I just got 1 for minor thing o. I amend d stuff and still got 2. Something is wrong somewhere.

Pls how does one dispute a rating. i just redid it and score a one again. this time i even included the time stamp wey i remove before. this person has ruined my last 10 call rating now i have until sunday to take it back up.

Guys wetin they happen with QA i have been using the new layout for weeks now without time stamp. gbam this morning i just saw time stamp. as i was transcribing i deleted the time stamp. i just saw ! without the usual reasons they put in the note section either incorrect grammer or inverted speaker etc. they just said did not follow QA guideline. guideline wey i open keep for tab they read. like they could not point out my errors like the usually do. is this because i deleted the time stamp? this is my first time seeing the time stamp at all.
