PoliticsRe: IPOB : US, EU Irrelevant, Immaterial To Nigeria – Presidency by patval(f): 10:26am On Sep 25, 2017
I ve read one literature, I think it is *our husband have gone mad by Ola Rotimi* It is long time ago so I may have forgotten the name. But in that book, it is sad that who the gods wants to kill, they first make him mad. Going by unfounded accusations laid Mohammed has been making on Super power countries and this careless talk from obla, one does not need a soothsayer to tell him that the gods have decided to roast this regime. It remains two countries, when they remember that most Igbo's buy goods from China, they will include China in their accusation list and also when Russia refuses them weapon, they will add them up making it a complete naked dance.
The funny part is that they don't need UN resolution to cut them into size.
When the dullard was mentioning Rohingya and Palestine in his watery speech before UNGA, his brain did not leave a sense for him to know that those cases were internal affairs of Myanmar and Isreal

You were making sense, before u start deviating, which one is coup?

don't u know that Buhari is military and military is Buhari

all the top military hierarchy are northerners including 70%soldiers are northerners....and they are loyal to him at all cost.

if it was Osibanjo that is travelling like Buhari spending months in overseas, the soldiers would have evict him long time ago citing unseriousness

Northerners are cabals and they form oath of alligence in anything that belongs to them.

Is a pity that they will keep holding on to power...except if it is God's providence that may change it
He can only boast of loyalty from his military chief, there are some northern elements in the military who are not with him cos they know he is setting the hands of clock backwards

Instead of a coup, Restructure or Disintegrate Nigeria

A true Christian ethnic group can never

1) force or beg a Muslim ethnic group to share the same country with them.

2) depend on the resources of a Muslim ethnic group for survival.

Why can't we.?

Because we know that our God aka Yahweh is always there for us.
I am a staunch supporter of disintegration or at least Biafrans exiting Nigeria union as the lasting solution for us in the East. But in a situation where other means like restructure can be manageable, it is obvious that buhari does not know anything when it comes to leadership talk more of leadership that nurtures peaceful coexistence so instead of allowing him to destroy the very little progress we have made, let the military squash him aside so as to allow people with sane upstairs initiate solutions to our priblems
PoliticsRe: Biafra: Asari Dokubo At It Again Nigeria Is A Joke(video) by patval(f): 7:58am On Sep 25, 2017
Am beginning to think that dullard buhari is gradually suffering from diplomatic isolation because UNGA provides a veritable platform for countries to engage in bilateral talks on the sidelines of the summit and going by horrible recession torturing Nigeria economy, one expected buhari and his team to engage countries that can help salvage the situation at home.
Disappointing that he only had peripheral talk with Jordan whom I don't believe can have much impact to us diplomatically and attended a luncheon organized by white house alongside other African leaders. He couldn't even had a flashtalk with Trump cos Trump's handles on twitter and Instagram mentioned all the leaders who had sidetalks with Trump.
its not a bad idea for a coup to distort this evil regime, let the military topple the dullard and organise flash election cos 2019 is a far way to go.Egypt did it and it favoured them.

The hypocritical double standard you use as the basis of secession is to be emancipated from Nigeria. But from what huh huh huh I really do not know.

You then want to go on a land grab and ethnic cleansing in the South South and claim it as Biafra then put the entire South south region under Igbo imperialism and subject the South south to becoming 2nd rate citizens in thier own land. Sorry but NEVER.

The entirety of your push is TRIBALISTIC.

The only tribe to have democratically elected representatives in a state of which they are not indegenes are the Igbo, in Lagos state. Yet you are spewing arrant deranged hogwash about emancipation.

Nigeria is moving on slowly but steadily away from local mentality and vindictive tribal politics. So grow up or shut up because Biafra us shut down for ever as a viable concept. Possibly as not viable landlocked prison a very minute possibility.
Reading this nonsense you wrote here, I don't think you woke up from the right side of your bed. Its quite disgusting to run mad through writing.
I can't remember including South South in my explanations. From available literatures on precolonial lives of ethnic nationals that later formed Nigeria, Igbo's are one of the nationals that didn't embark on political expansionist expedition so you are just a nutjob

You failed to realized that the five Igbo states will be land locked even if they have oil, do they have refinery? Access to sea ports will be limited, agro economy will be drastically affected because of the nature of the land,.......... Think bro, majority will not leave Nigeria because of their investments.
You are still spewing fallacious assumptions here, East is never landlocked as you were meant to believe. I wount spend time on the various pathways to the sea from the Eastern axis cos somebody opened that thread here.
I want to lecture you on the governance structures of the Igbo's which people like you never cared to do research on before coming here to express you ignorance.
First of all, I will recommend the simplest material on Igbo's system of govt which is contained on Nigerian Peoples and culture, a GST 100 level material.
Igbo's from their social evolvement are known with classical Democratic system of government and a capitalist economic system.
What the above implies is that Igbo's practice an inclusive representative system of government which makes their political system a decentralized one unlike our neighbours(North and West) who practise monarchical system with a centralized political structure.
In modern system, the Igbo's political system can be best described as parliamentary executive where by whatever action to be taken will be unanimously adopted by the assembly.
If Biafra comes today, we Igbo's know our political system which fits us best and that is parliamentary executive where there will be president(ceremonial) and prime minister as practised in Isreal.I used Isreal cos they are republic too unlike monarchy in Britain.
when Okorocha made his uniformed statement that Igbo style of politics will not lead them to Asorock,I laugh at his ignorance of our system cos ambition has beclouded his thinking and not forgetting the fact that okorocha is a " Hellenistic" Igbo man so may not be abreast of the fact that we will not let go a thriving sociopolitical system in practise centuries ago because we are trapped in a dark union called Nigeria.
The least demand of the Igbo's is a decentralized and liberalised system in Nigeria and you will see how unity of purpose will lead them to sociopolitical greatness.
Igbo society, no one man exerts his will on the entire society rather it is done with the approval of the assembly which is not at the mercy of any interest.

We igbos are the problem to ourselves.
Once upon a time, i was made to see Yoruba people as my main enemy in this, country but not anymore.
Yes we can brag about our commercial exploits, education, talents, wealth, personalities but we lack unity.
Out of all the tribes in this country, Igbos are the most greedy, wicked, heartless, and selfish set of creatures.
I am a confirm onye igbo, born and brought up in the north, i am typing this because of the IPOB crisis here in the east. It's hard for me to admit but the truth must be told. I asked myself yesterday night;
If we are to get biafra what will come next?
Are we ready to be independent?
Do we have the resources to survive?
Is there love among ourselves?
After analysing all these, i come to conclusion that biafra is the worst that will happen to an igbo man, biafra will be a place where hatred is the order of the day, we are always the ones playing the victim card, we call Yoruba people all sorts of derogatory names, we blame everyone one in this country except ourselves. It was a Yoruba family that welcomed and gave me shelter in GBOKO BENUE STATE the year i was posted there for my jamb exam (you can hardly see an igbo man do this for his brother, let alone a stranger) my best secondary school teacher is a Yoruba man, we lack hospitality and love among ourselves.
I didn't know about this until i left north for east, an igbo man will rather sell his brother for a plate of porridge out of greed
We call Hausa this and that yes i don't even like them (the truth must be told), their religious and ethnic intolerance is something else, but we are not better either, we have made our land less convenient for our people that's why you see igbos investing outside igbo land. You will buy land in igboland and all the kinsmen in that community will try to feast on your pocket.
Yes we have most of the most corrupt politicians in this country. Those bastar.ds we call our leaders are the ones we supposed to hold accountable, Nigeria is not our problem, Yoruba people are the only people we can team up with, they are the only one we can ally with.
I use to ask myself why most of my trusted friends are not igbos, it's not a coincidence. It is from experience.
In 2015 i relocated from the north to the east, up till now I'm still regretting my decision, i will rather die elsewhere than to be consumed by hatred in igbo land. My maternal grandfather who is supposed to welcome me home, despite all the tenants that are paying him, could not let me stay in one of his rooms. My grandfather!!
My advice to my fellow igbos is that we should eliminate hatred in our lives, only then we can come together and think of the way forward.
My write up may lack proper contruction, as long as I've shared my thoughts I'm OK.
As for biafra matter, me and my household and extended family say no to biafra.
I stand for one united South in one Nigeria.
Long live south east
Long live south west
Long live south south
Long live Nigeria
PEACE!

PoliticsRe: Herdsmen Werent Labelled Terrorists, They Are Criminals Unlike IPOB- Garba Shehu by patval(f): 1:31pm On Sep 21, 2017
[quote author=celebsnes post=60683098]The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Garba Shehu, has revealed why the Federal Government labelled Indigenous People of Biafra as terrorists and not the marauding Fulani herdsmen..

Garba Shehu also revealed he supported the Nigerian Army in its recent declaration that the Indigenous People of Biafra is a terrorist group.

Recall, earlier on Wednesday, The Federal High Court in Abuja has approved the application by the Federal Government, seeking the proscription of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

Now, Mr. Shehu, who made this known while speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, said the Federal Government had closely monitored the activities of the group, its inability to embrace dialogue, hence qualified to be called a terrorist organisation.

He also revealed the herdsmen did not fight to take over any region like IPOB and Boko Haram did..

He said;

“We looked at this organisation, we analysed it, and it fits the description of a terrorist organization.

If it fits the description of a terrorist organization, then it is a terrorist organization,”

Although the Presidential Aide admitted that the military by its declaration alerted Nigerians of their own analysis, he, however, revealed the Federal Government was bound to follow up “some processes.”

“That yes, it fits in and as Americans say, ‘If it walks like a duck, it moves like a duck, it looks like a duck, then it is a duck.’

“Therefore, that is it. That is their own description of it. So, the processes we are bound to follow since they are fully aware of the fact that from the point of view of the law, they cannot do what the law does not empower them to do.”

Mr. Shehu further explains that IPOB leader, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu had earlier aborted peace moves made by the governors of the five eastern states headed by Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi, as well as Senators from the region.

He said;

“IPOB itself has clearly indicated that they are not interested in dialogue. You know that in the run-up of these processes, the governors of the states in the region had put up a forum, IPOB said, ‘No, thank you, we are not interested.’

“The Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria set up a delegation and they said, ‘IPOB we want to speak to you,’ and they said, ‘no, thank you.’”

“Initially yes, it is clear that the leader had himself shut everyone out of the whole process,”

He then added;

"There is a difference between a criminal activity and a terrorist activity, yes the fulani herdsmen are a criminal gang and they are being treated as criminals according to the law of the country.. But IPOB like Boko Haram as a territory have carved on to themselves as a sovereign state of their own, they have should willingness to invade states and raised concerns in neighbouring states, like Kogi, Benue and have said they are interested in taking over Bayelsa and Rivers and have raised up a flag"

PoliticsRe: Trump Praises Nigeria’s Tackling Of Ebola At UNGA - The Cable by patval(f): 10:38am On Sep 21, 2017
nwabobo:
US President Donald Trump has lauded Nigeria for its handling of the 2014 outbreak of the Ebola virus disease.

Trump on Wednesday also said there’s “tremendous business potential” in Africa, revealing that his wealthy friends were investing on the continent.

He said this while hosting President Muhammadu Buhari and other African leaders to a working lunch on the sidelines of the 72nd UN general assembly in New York.

Trump said: “I’m greatly honoured to be joined by leaders of Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Namibia, Senegal, Uganda and South Africa. In particular, I want to thank President Condé, who is representing the African Union.

“In this room, I see partners for promoting prosperity and peace on a range of economic, humanitarian and security issues.

“We hope to extend our economic partnerships with countries who are committed to self-reliance and to fostering opportunities for job creation in both Africa and the United States.

“Africa has tremendous business potential. I have so many friends going to your countries, trying to get rich. I congratulate you.

“They’re spending a lot of money. But it does – it has tremendous business potential and representing huge amounts of different markets. And for American firms it’s really become a place that they have to go – that they want to go.

“Six of the world’s ten fastest-growing economies are in Africa. Increasing American trade and investment across diverse industries – including agriculture, energy, transportation, healthcare, travel, and tourism – will further transform lives throughout the continent.

“Africa, I have to say, is a continent of tremendous potential. The outlook is bright. I look forward to hearing from you and your advice during the meal.

“I really want to congratulate you – growing very fast economically and in every other way. You’ve done a terrific job, you’ve had some tremendous obstacles placed in your path, but you have done really an absolutely incredible job.”

Trump pledged that the US would partner with African countries and organisations, like the African Union, leading successful efforts to end violence to prevent the spread of terrorism and to respond to humanitarian crises.

“I commend your troops currently serving in the field. Very brave. Very, very brave what they’re going through. But we cannot have prosperity if we’re not healthy,” he said.

“We will continue our partnership on critical health initiatives. Uganda has made incredible strides in the battle against HIV/AIDS. In Guinea and Nigeria, you fought a horrifying Ebola outbreak.

“Namibia’s health system is increasingly self-sufficient. My Secretary of Health and Human Services will be traveling to Africa to promote our Global Health Security Agenda.”

The US president, however, regretted that too many people were suffering from conflict in Africa, pointing out the Central African Republic, the Congo, Libya, Mali, Somalia and South Sudan, among others, “were going through dangerous times”.

He noted that terrorist groups, such as ISIS, al-Shabaab, Boko Haram, and al Qaeda threaten African peace, adding that the US was proud to work with African leaders toward eradicating terrorist safe havens, to cut off their finances, and to discredit their depraved ideology.

“And a number of you have told me – actually, last night – that we’ve been doing a very good job over the last six or seven months in particular,” he said.
