In 2015, Kenyan government negotiated with Obama for increase in the validity of Visa.

"The United States and the Republic of Kenya are scheduled to jointly increase the validity of short-term business/tourist visas and student visas issued to each other’s citizens on September 22, 2015," the announcement said.

This means Kenyan applicants who qualify for non-immigrant visa will be eligible to receive a multiple-entry visa for up to five years for business and tourist travel."

It is not "simply" ! What would it have cost the school to have a representative at the meeting? This may likely be a case of "am not coming"!

Those are big schools, where fees are not cheap. May likely be tax issues, waiting for the reason for closure.
