MzDeeb: Of course i never said it's an impediment. Those farm houses u talked about.. I guess are run by middle aged if not elderly women.. To be fair enough, It's rare to see many young ladies out there below 30years going into farming.. Because apart from the stress, d risk of being alone in the farm with majority of guys creeps some ladies.
Not that i am saying its a big deal.. Being a working class [8am-5pm] young lady it was really stressful coupled with the fact that i am combining all these with writing my professional exam.. Guess u know what dat means. I was involved in the whole process from ploughing to planting, weeding etc till harvesting didn't have money to employ a farm consultant was just adding knowledge from different sources but at the end i am glad i took this decision and i thank God for making it a success.
#peace From what you stated your schedule is really tight. What is the size of your farm? |

MzDeeb: Dear All,
I am so glad right now. I was introduced newly into farming around August. I planted my cucumber in October..
The journey hasn't been an easy one i must confessed especially considering the fact that i am a decision lady.. But to God be the glory my cucumber is now available for sale..
I promise to give discounts to my Nairalanders*winks*. Here are some of the pics Being a lady is not an impediment in Agriculture, most of the farms and packing houses l have visited are managed by women. Do state your location as that will help those interested make a decision. |

loopmangoat: How does her appointment change the fact that biafra is coming If she likes she can head un She is only a mere servant With the backing of China Russia and USA no afonja and Fulani or bingohari can stop biafra If Biafra must be a sovereign entity it must on its steam not depending on the three countries you mentioned because they are also insisting some regions must remain under them. The U.S is holding on to Peurto Rico and their leader for the liberation of Peurto Rico locked up since the early 80's in the U.S. China has refused to allow Tibet, Taiwan to be independent. You are just disturbing yourself with this argument. One does not get bigger belittling others, any rational mind should bring something to the table. There are areas Nigeria has excelled over Kenya just as there are aspects of life Kenya beats Nigeria hands down. |

Boyedex: You could be wrong if you have had no dealings or no knowledge of the most expensive real Estates in both cities. You could live in Lagos for aeons and still not know certain things about the city trust me. That could be true but it does not apply to me! My family is really deep into real estate starting way back from the 70's! I have a good idea of real estate in Lagos. |

Boyedex: First of, how did you get the perfect equivalent of Magodo in Nairobi to arrive at this? It will be hard to judge an equivalent knowing that values of an apartment with exact same facilities vary from location to location. That brings me to why you should compare the extremes in both situations, that is, the best of Nairobi and the best of Lagos. And please, you can get an apartment of $3000 in Muthaiga, not 5k as the least cost that you quoted. Like I said earlier, apartments in Eko Atlantic cost 10000 monthly. They were fully bought before it's completion. That makes a big business statement. These things are not rocket science. I can match neighborhoods between Nairobi and Lagos, l know some neighbourhoods in Nairobi, l can match the quality of residency with that of ilupeju, Lagos. Neighborhoods you can match with Lavington, kilimani, Kileleshwa etc. Nairobi had its own share of neighbourhoods in the mould of Bariga. Ijora badiya, Ajegunle etc in good measure! |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Pavore9: 11:26pm On Dec 10, 2016 |
Boyedex: There are properties that cost $5000 per month in Lagos. We no even dare go to neighbourhoods like Karen, Runda, Muthaiga etc where rents are $5000 and above. Ask any other Nigerian living in Nairobi going by the present exchange rate which between Lagos and Nairobi where the rent in a good neighborhood is lesser. If you are paying N800,000 annually for a 3 bedroom flat at Magodo Estate that is equal to 170,000 Kenyan shillings going by today's exchange rate between the Naira and Shillings. That 170,000 Kenyan shillings will cover only 4 months rent of similar neighborhood in Nairobi! Born and raised in Lagos, work and live in Nairobi....Forget the pictures being posted l know the realities of both cities! |

Boyedex: An apartment in London costs more than its equivalent in Lagos. So does one in Lagos cost more than a Kenyan equivalent. You may see all those tall buildings in Kenya too but we all know their values cannot be compared to what you have in Nigeria. Yet they wonder how Nigeria has a bigger economy? The rent in an upscale neighborhood of Nairobi is higher than the ones in an upscale neighbourhood of Lagos. Shebi l follow go house hunting with a Ghanian couple who just moved over. A 4 bedroom masionette is renting $2,140 monthly plus a $200 monthly service charge and sharing compound with 7 other units! Away from upscale neighbourhoods, a middle class neighborhood one can get a bedsitter (a room and an ensuite kitchen and toilet/shower) for between $90-$100 monthly whereas that can get me a spacious 2 bedroom flat in Anthony Village, Lagos! |
