esere826:Unemployment is just like in Nigeria but with being a Nigerian l smell opportunities which locals ignore as there are a lot of things one can learn easily here at little cost and when he or she implements it in Nigeria it will be an ATM! |
trappatoni:When some people are in power they become irrational! |
jasper7:l suggest you do video recordings of each step of the way from the virgin land, the clearing, the planting through to harvesting and the end you edit and compress to a 15mins video as you would should surely need for future presentation when dealing with investors/donors. l was at a presentation hosted by an European foundation and young farmers who were seeking funding presented their farm videos, l recall a lyoung ady who was given a standing ovation as her farm is 100% organic as she started her farm on an infertile land and did amend the soil with red worms as they used to aid the decomposition of organic waste matter into castings (worm poop), which is rich in supportive elements that make it an excellent soil amendment. Record your activities. |

esere826:l live in Nairobi and have 24hrs access to electricity and my monthly electricity bill is not even up yo N1,000 but l know how high my productivity have been. My brother in Lagos is into production and his edge is that his machines do not requires electricity though manual even a 7 year old can operate it. For every of the machine he imports from the U.S for just N80,000 (which is the cost of some people's phone) he employs 2 Nigerians and his finished products he exports to Kenya at a shipping cost of N740 per kilo, l feel happy to see that what he produces in Lagos is highly regarded here in Kenya! ![]() We also have to look into energy source, l have understudied many farms here in Kenya that generate some of the power they use in the farms from waste generated from the farms thus reducing cost of production. |
Painful I hope our foreign ministry will not keep mum over it as the incident needs to be properly investigated. |
esere826:If you are in such business you must preserve it or it gets rotten. if the cost of electricity from the power company is same as running my generator l will still go for the power company as l do not have to deal with pollution and noise associated with generators. l do believe there are severally ways through which the cost of electricity supplied can be lowered. |
esere826:Let us assume l open up a butchery which requires electricity to preserve the meat, l would certainly need workers. |
The war end in 1970 and Ojukwu has passed on but this elderly man is comfortable opening old wounds, thought wisdom reside with the aged ![]() |
obstead200:l am so pro-conservation, we can't just be killing anything that crosses our sight. Just like you, am so concerned about de-forestation that is why l opened the thread on biogas where cooking gas is generated from our wastes bringing into people's consciousness that it is possible to cook with gas from waste even in the rural areas where our local folks are felling trees for firewood. |
These Politricians! Their case is like husband and wife matter, don't get too involved in it before dem use you settle matter! ![]() |

O.Y.O is his case! ![]() |
Let the best minds be appointed, enough of ministers who have no idea of what their ministry entails. |
Rest in peace, na turn by turn. |
Nigerians and bushmeat! Conservation is not in our dictionary! l give it to Kenya as you dare not try this in that Country as such animals na government pikin. Even if you see them destroying your property you still have no right to touch them, all you have to do is inform the Kenyan Wildlife Service and they come assess the damages and pay you compensation. lt is only the Kenyan Wildlife Service that that have the right to kill such animals subject to their discretion. Kenya annually makes billions of dollars from wildlife conservation as TV stations like Discovery Channel, National Geography pay millions of dollars to shoot their wildlife documentaries here not to talk of regular tourists who fly in for safaris. l know if the maasai mara was in Nigeria the hundreds of thousand of the wild animals there would have ended up in our pots as bushmeat! When they migrate it is a beauty to behold, people fly in from all over the world to view it .One really need to experience their migration to really appreciate wildlife Kenyans are taught from their primary school level that the wildlife is their national heritage and foreign exchange earner.
