iyambz: (John 2) "The marriage in Cana, the first public miracle in the New Testament." Read vs 6. Each pot contained 18 to 27 gallons, so six waterpots of stone would be anywhere from 72 to 162 gallons of liquor. If it was fermented, it could have gotten an army drunk (Lev 10:9-10; Hab 2:15 kjv). Face it: Jesus Christ broke the law if He created fermented liquor. It was not; it was a supernatural wine. Notice in the passage that He is speaking of His death on the cross (John 2:4 kjv) in connection with the wine. You are told that the grape that has "pure blood" is "in the cluster" (Isa 65:8 kjv), on "the vine" (Matt 26:29 kjv). It was not fermented liquor at all. That wine is a picture of Christ's pure blood. If it was fermented, His blood cannot take away sins. But anyways, I can't make you change your mind, if the Holy Spirit can't do it, i will simply be wasting my time. "Then all the people of Israel again started bringing to the Temple storerooms their tithes of grain, wine, and olive oil".....Nehemiah 13:12 Maybe God also broke the law by allowing wine to brought in as part of their tithes! Don't ever present your narrow interpretation of the bible as scriptural FACTS! |

iyambz: God made bananas, but not for it to go through fermentation for alcoholic consumption. Now instead of spending so much time trying to prove that alcohol is good, why not go down on your face before the Lord to find out whether or not your own heart is good or evil. Your thoughts are not God's thoughts. And the first miracle attributed to Jesus was turning water into what? |

Nothing is wrong with moderate consumption of alcoholic drink like every other things in life.
I love taking banana wine (like in the attached images), so because the banana went through fermentation it then becomes a sin to consume?

Splitmind: It had always been common but wasn't taken seriously or even considered as abuse.
When a woman gets slapped by her man people gasp in shock but when a man is slapped or hit by a frying pan it's either a joke or he deserved it somehow.
There was even an old comic strip on the Punch where a man would joke about how much his wife was abusing him.
The fact that women who abuse can lie and cry so people instantly believe them didn't help matters, at least it is getting more attention. Efe and Jude!

MufasaLion: All what you said here are normal thing. But I'm talking about employment. Employment is not limited to Nigeria in today's world as long as your skills are measurable. One of the persons I mentioned earlier is presently doing her UK masters in Clinical Child Psychology, so you mean after being trained in that field of study, she will less likely get a job there in the UK because she obtained her Bachelors degree in Kenya, the same bachelors degree and its transcript that was assessed by The British Psychological Society and found it worthy enough to be granted Graduate Membership, a proof that it met their standard and requirement for jobs and further studies in the field of Psychology in the UK and Ireland. |

MufasaLion: Don't waste your money and life!. Even Nigerians are still struggling for thier certificate to be recognized. You're talking of going to Rwanda?!. Hilarious!!! Once it is a recognized Rwandan university then there is no problem attending it. Let me cite Kenya as an example, many Nigerians are presently pursuing both undergraduate and postgraduate studies in various recognized Kenyan universities. For undergraduate studies, they are sure that in 3-4 years they will be graduating (except for longer courses). They are certain of constant electricity and cheaper internet access that helps them earn money working online while studying and once they have their Student Pass (Student VIsa and is increasingly becoming more difficult to obtain), it become easier to apply at various foreign embassies and travel to a third country during their school holidays, many who meet the requirements do easily travel to South Africa and Europe for vacation (pre-covid). After graduation, they further their studies in Europe. I personally know 2 Nigerians who got admitted in May 2017, studied and graduated from a Kenyan University last year October with a bachelor degree, they both relocated to the UK first week of January this year for their masters as they applied for their UK Tier 4 (Student) Visa, right here in Nairobi. |

Darkseid: You can actually remove the coat of black eyed beans start to finish in 10 minutes. I find lentils less stressful and the variety of black-eyed peas I find here in Nairobi is high blood pressure inducing when it comes to de-coating! I doubt if up to 1% of Kenyans eat black-eyed peas! |

Way easier removing the outer coating than that of our regular black-eyed peas. Soaked it and came back 2hrs later, very easy washing off the outer coatings.....less stressful! |

Something like this,right?
What do we eat it with? Have you had it before. It looks tasty. Seems like you soak overnight Ate it growing up. It was usually cooked overnight, it was then mixed with akpu mmiri (wet cassava chips, especially ones shredded with knives) palm oil, ehuru (African nutmeg) akanwu (potash), crayfish, salt and pepper while some do sprinkle in ugba/ukpaka.....na traditional meal that takes time to prepare! You can be creative with it, accompanying with carbohydrates such as yam but it can take forever to cook, reason it is regarded as an old woman's delicacy! |

If being financially transparent with your wife is working for you because of the trust level between you two, you need not be here to find validation as many didn't grow up seeing their fathers being transparent about his earnings to their mothers and them(the children) as they grew older rather their paternal uncles and paternal aunts were more in tune with their father's financial status because their mothers were still regarded as outsiders. Our socialization has convinced majority of us that openness in marriage is a dangerous game, that you can trust your spouse not to add something to the water you drink, the water you bath with and the food eaten at home but don't trust when it comes to money. Have plans to steadily invest in fixed assets and as your kids are getting older, involve them as you and your wife discuss financial plans for the family, e get why! |
