"IgbereTV learnt that both the husband and the wife had money in their accounts but were arguing about who exactly would go ahead and pay for the hospital bill. Eventually their disagreement went on for too long and their son unfortunately died."......Two irresponsible humans, they can now go and spend their money on what they consider more important but the blood of their dead child is on their head!
Semiu! Though there are times I tend to miss the madness of the Lagos conductor and the drama that acts out in those buses but certainly wouldn't want to live there permanently again, born and raised there is enough to last a lifetime!
Kriss216: Yeah, In Obowo the average age is 28-31, not same with Ihitte uboma. The average age in Ihitte uboma is 36-39.
cc: 99thEnemy
Yeah, Obowo and Ehime Mbano (Nsu) do theirs at a younger age (31 and below) but Ihitte uboma sandwiched between them do theirs at 36-39 but some are trying to cut it back by having it every 2 years instead of the 3 years so that in 10 years, 5 age grades would have theirs instead of 3 and expand the range of years of those who makes up an age grade because in the 60s they were in their mid 20s when they did it and started increasing, around 1985 it jumped to 30-31 and from 1997 they entered 33-34..........na so dem finally hit the 36-39 mark!
Hadampson: Ahn, who told you that one I'm all in for anywhere be it Chad, China or Katafawa Knowledge is power and I hope to accumulate as much as I can before I escape from this country

@2nd statement, lemme blush small
Chai, see as I'm salivating. Wish I could join you with my nairaland crews
Enjoy yourself to the fullest, nothing do you Back to observation mode
chukxie: I enjoy flying ET. In fact they're my preferred airlines from when flying from Guangzhou to Lagos because they offer good food and drinks; ample leg room in their economic class; beautiful and hospitable air hostesses. Enjoy your trip @ Op
I also prefer ET, still shocked that despite Nairobi being my hub I don't fly KQ (Kenya Airways)
You will live like a boss if you know your way around.
-Where in Nairobi is their office located, so I can give you the neighbourhoods you can look into living in which you can use that first month of free housing to look for.
-Electricity is 24hrs, so you will only be spending on buying tokens for your prepaid meter
-Feeding is cheap, if you know your way around it.
-Come with beans, garri, egusi, ogbono, spices etc but don't come with tubers(s) of yam or palm oil, it will be seized on arrival in Nairobi.
Food very available in Nairobi that you don't need to come with: - Wheat flour -Semolina -Ewedu -Okro -Fresh pepper (you can still come with the powdered variety you prefer) -Rice -You will buy palm oil from Nigerians who sell it in Nairobi -Milk, bread, butter, meat, chicken -Potatoes (Irish and sweet) -Smoked catfish, tilapia etc - Kenyans have more variety of beans than us though they have "white beans" (Kunde white) but it is tinier and very hard! When soaked overnight, one can use it to make moin-moin or akara. -Uji (flour of various kinds) which Kenyans drink as liquids with cups, Nigerians in Kenya prepare it to be thick......and you have your pap ready!
In conclusion, Nairobi is "softer to live in" than Lagos or Abuja.
With the several times PMB ran for the Presidency, one would have thought he was coming with something unique, that would be positively transformational in the lives of the masses but all na wash.
It was a rude shock for me in Nairobi at the beginning when kids only form of greeting me was "How are you?" I felt like giving them knocks on their heads, shey we be mates? I later got to realize that those ones are even the ones regarded as "respectful" as others no dey even greet!
There is the place of the parents and the place of the teachers.
Teaching a child the basics in school is enough. The child would study his parents to know what worked for them and fine tune to his own style.
Else we would be teaching about part time working mothers, full time house wives, wives who work and don't spend, wives who are the bread winners, wives whose husbands leave with the financial burden etc.
Then you go to who cooks what dish, who sweeps what corner of the house, who provides what etc.
I have never seen anyone who thought only men provide or only women cook because they learn it in primary one social studies.
She should teach HER son whatever she wants him to learn at home and KEEP it at home.
Christians successfully attend Philosophy classes and pass; atheists successfully take courses on religion and do well.
Philosophy isn't out to counter Christianity thus for Priestly formation in the Catholic Church, a seminarian must first obtain a degree in Philosophy before proceeding for another degree in Theology.
MondayUche: Thanks if you have time you can go through my other posts. You are lucky and probably blessed in your own family does not mean every other families must be just as good and helpful as yours. He who give me fish today when it finishes and go back to ask for fish tomorrow and next he will get angry remember. So as a man I want to finish my own than to be given the fish. People receive all kinds of bitter response when they speak out. That is why so many are dying silently cos when they speak out to seek for help and assistance people call them lazy even when they don't know what they are passing through. Thanks anyways I really appreciate. There is no loan company that I have not downloaded only Sokoloan accepted my statement and lend me 7k which I paid that was around February and I collected 14k I have not been able to pay them back till date and the money is now reading 26k+ now. They even called and texted all my contact list. And what happened next? None has ever asked how are you guys coping... But I know that my helper will come from the Lord when it's time. Thanks
If you are unable to pay back the loan you took from Sokoloan since February and none of your relatives both from your side and that of your in-laws can stick out their necks to get a loan for you in their names, is it not risky loaning you? Will it not become uncollectible?
Just like someone suggested earlier, you don't need to start from a shop. Cook from home and go deliver, build from there.
hafsatadebisi: Not once. I wrote everything in my post that's on first page. Or you can read my reply to ishi.. love to get what I'm saying. I was in the middle of treating the typhoid/malaria case before this thing started. I'm just ashamed to say it. Please if you can, please help. I promise to upload everything here, from the hospital card, tests results, drugs, everything, I'll post it here. I'm not lying. I have no reason to. Why will someone even lie about their health? Anyone living in Abuja can comfirm the locations I gave. I can also give the name of the lab and pharmacy I visited for the typhoid/malaria tests and treatment. I'm ready to do anything it is you people want me to do to show that I'm real and that I'm not lying, anything at all. I can post pictures of the last pack of drugs I finished taking few days ago. Anything at all, I'm ready to do it. I just want to well and free from all these pains.
So among your married elder sister, elder brother, the sister who finished with NYSC , your elder sister doing her Masters in Ondo State and your other brother (don't know if younger or older) and your mum, none could raise the money for you to go see a doctor in a government hospital?
