helinuesIsaMumu: Is cattle rearing federal owned business?? Since the FG is doing father Christmas, why can't they also distribute the grant to all business men?? Why selecting just fulani herders?? Even the farmers being killed by this Herdsmen, the FG is not talking about them
Ifearnoevil: There is no point in engaging you since it seems you have the iq of an infant.
Don’t resort to insults, engage him like an educated man. He has raised some logically sound points .
Personally I think the federal government has been unfair to states ravaged by itinerant herdsmen.
FG mustn’t impose grazing routes on states, ranching is the way to go and there should be no favoritism except where states EXPRESSLY ASK TO BE EXCLUDED FROM RANCHING.
Raymond0008: This Oba like gum body, and this is also sponsored post because it’s gonna hit front page. Been friends to buratai and this one or is this Oba an ex military?
Femeto: Most of the time the closest fire service to the point of incident don't have water. Some even get there without water. Traffic is not an excuse. The fire service in Lagos is not well equipped.
I agree with you that they have their lapses and need to be equipped 100%.
I’m totally for this. Amidst the traffic situation in most parts of Lagos, whenever there’s a fire, residents expect fire men to teleport to the affected area like they’re super heroes.
Unruly residents even go as far as descending on them like they were the cause of the fire in the first place.
That job isn’t easy, they need to be supported, encouraged and equipped not waylaid.
Kokaine: Its the Arabic introduction of a chapter in the Quran that talks about how the mutual competition in worldly matters is diverting us humans from our main purpose in this world. To such an extent that we are now discussing who's burial is better, forgetting the actual lessons of death. The center of attraction is now been focused to wealth. Whereas, even with all the wealth, an unrighteous billionaire cannot gain safety or bribe Allah, whereas a righteous pauper will have what the entire universe of men cannot have.
Nice perspective. More so it makes one feel like they’re happy the woman died.
CandyOps: This your matter na exactly why dem talk say na 'over-style make monkey fall from tree"
You would have made your point by comparing Zuma arrest to Nigerias corruption and leave it at that. You just spoilt the whole comparison thing the moment you brought up the cleanup as a point of reverence to how they're best in Africa.
Best at what exactly? Cleaning up their mess?
He’s living in denial, isolating ‘Zuma’s mob’ from South Africans, As if Zuma’s mob aren’t South Africans. Since the Xenophobia attacks the world has known them for who they are, this looting spree only helped validate opinions
RuudVanNistelroy I hope the cleanup volunteers restocked all the items that were looted and fixed all the damaged shops
I don’t think they should be allowed to compete for Nigeria, let others who are eligible be given the opportunity and exposure please. If she’d (Nenka) been selected by US would she have considered Nigeria? Let’s be objective here. They wanna use and dump us
I think that’s what’s gonna happen eventually, they just have to instill fear in her by letting her face a panel of enquiry. She goofed big time.
Imagine wearing a customized shirt that reads ‘I kill people for fun’, is there a reason why the police shouldn’t investigate me to make sure I’m not a killer on the loose(to cover bases)?
chloride6: The student erred but this has been taken too far by the authorities abeg.
Just give her a stiff reprimand and let her go.
Stiff reprimand such as? The youths are getting too reckless these days and ought to be tamed. Meanwhile that stiff reprimand you mentioned has a process of being arrived at, it’s taking its course
Rossinkipp: I just a read a highly revealing scholarly article on the causes of the herdsmen crisis in Nigeria.
The main reason given of course was climate change causing accelerated desertification of the Sahara, and forcing herdsmen ever southwards for greener pastures to graze their cattle.
The 2ND reason given was the heightened migration of 'southern Nigerians' up to the north, causing pressure on land resources and land availability, and forcing herdsmen to migrate southwards.
These ''southern Nigerians'' buy up hectares of land and build houses and estates aplenty, plus numerous business premises, factories etc.
Now of course we know who these ''southern Nigerians'' are, even if the author was far too polite to mention their ethnicity outright.
Perhaps it's time to implore those ''southern Nigerians'' to head back home and free up the land for its original inhabitants, to help ease the herdsman crisis?
You’re confused. I’m against the break up of the country but were those lands acquired for free?
Open grazing is outdated, let them buy or rent land in the south for ranches, and not grab it for free to build settlements
