CrazyMan: Lol...that printer needs to be dealt with...that's a costly error and he must pay the price.like seriously! He needs a serious beating! It was a colossal error! |
Be careful who prints your wedding programme! A printer was asked to put 1 John 4:18 on a wedding programme but he made a mistake Instead he printed John 4:18. 1 John 4:18 says "there is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear; because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love" John 4:18 reads, "For you have had five husbands, and he whom you now have is not your husband... Gobe!!! |

WTF....This thread has totally metamorphosed into a messy, puerile and untutored Platform! The thread has suddenly lost its motives, objectives as well as goals due to unsophisticated, irrational, unsavoury and invoking posts and comments by suppossed graduates. Some posts on this thread make me wanna ask if actually d author is genuinely a graduate! Wen I see dis thread, I see hatred, incitements, saucy-character, quest for cheap popularity, unguided and unwarranted competitions, deceit among others!! The question is: is that what we are here for? We all really need to grow up and get a life! We are graduates for crying out loud and remember life doesn't begin on NL neither does it end here!!! GET A LIFE PEEPS AND GROW UP!! Chai!!!!!! If dis shit continues, I'm sorry to say bt I'll have to sign out of dis thread and search for other means to secure reasonable info! Cos serioulsy some characters here can actually make some1 to start thinking retrogressively!! Be progressive and productive!! Don't be Rash!! Graduates and corpers in embryo....let's us all embrace peace, love and unity! Only this features alone cn make us relate as one even beyond here!! ![]() |

@Hopeyemmy my hommie, @Immanuelle and @Mikigen...saw ya comments bro! Much thanks! Funny hw I dislike writing unnecessarily myself bt the truth is the nature of d course I studied requires an intense writing skills and abilities to do exceedingly well. U cn imagine a situation whr the number of d extra-sheets collected determines ow robust ur grade looks like! Tho that doesn't mean a superflous writing is condoned. I'm still a learner ooo ![]() |
"Good morning sir" I greeted as I entered the well furnished and large office room wit a state of the heart centric equipments and gadgets, fully air-conditioned with various beautiful artifacts hanged on d wall. I almost lost in d euphoria of dis pleasant environment as I tried to close d door very gently. "Good morning young man" he replied as I abruptly recovered frm my sub-conscious sojourn. "Thank you sir" I said in an apparently nervy voice. "Come have ur sit" he enthused in a rather friendly manner. "Thank you sir" I repeated as I walk slowly to sit myself on one of those seats while I struggle to control my nervousness. He immediately offered me a hand shake which I politely reacted to as I ended up sitting comfortably on a well designed and soft chair. Hence, the following convo ensued! GM: So what is your name young man? He asked as his voice echoes loudly in d office ME: My name is Olukayode Olalekan GM: can I see your attachment letter? ME: Yes sir, I brought it out of d envelope and handed it over to him After a brief perusal, he brought out a pen which he attached to the pocket of his shirt and appended his signature on a section of the letter, filed it and returned the pen where it belonged. Conversations continued; GM: which skul did you attend? Me: Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun-state GM: U don't mean it! That's my alma matter! I finished frm OOU in 1996. Then it was called Ogun State University. I was an active member of d kegites club and also participated in student unionism though the SHR. OSU was very rough then. Only d strong survives. ME:*chuckles timorously wit my eyes glued to the table* that's gud sir bt a lot has changed abt the skul now. GM: so wht's ur discipline? I mean what did u study? ME: I studied philosophy sir. GM: Philosophy! He said excitedly. It's a lovely course. I love philosophy. I cld vividly remember doing it as a compulsory course in my first and second year during my degree as a management student. I hv read a lot abt philosophy bt I dislike Logic. You should be a good thinker. ME: *feeling much relaxed and homely* yea, that is what philosophy has actually taught me. To be able to think constructively when approaching issues and to have a very clear logical and analytical mind. My degree in philosophy has yielded me so much positivity. GM: looking more desirous! What grade did you finish with? ME: Second class upper division and a GPA of 4.39 sir. GM: why nt first class? You are close ME: giggles loudly! I tried my best bt maybe it wasn't good enuff cos my department ended up producing one first class. I was there bt I couldn't retain it. GM: what abt NYSC? ME: I'm going november sir! Knwing well enuff tht d programme lasts for 6months. GM: Good! He checks his wall clock, phoned a staff and instructed him to come over to his office immediately. While waiting, he faced his desktop system and began to do some computer works. Still sitting on the chair was me basking in d euphoria of dat beautifully designed office which I secretly wished it was mine. Nt long after, there was a knock at d door and befr the GM cld say come in, the door was already opened and a young, short, dark but fresh and gudluking youngman entered d office with glasses on his face. The GM looked directly at him and asked him if everything was under control. The man replied affirmatively. "Good" said the GM. He continued, " This young man here Mr....." Finding it hard to recollect my name as he pointed towards my direction. Noticing dis, I immediately intercepted by saying "Olukayode Olalekan sir" feeling embarrassed for forgetting my name so quickly, he addressed that name again with all d politeness he could muster! "Mr Olukayode is a new staff and he'll be at ur unit for two-week comprehensive understudy" . "Ok sir" said the other man." Meanwhile you are to monitor his performance and developments and prepare a daily performance assessment. Thank you very much, you can both leave now". "Mr Olalekan, you are welcome" he said wearing a smile as he retired back to his system."Thank you very much sir" I replied as I walked out of d beautiful office wit my new boss. YES!!!!!! Of course it ws a great relief leaving that office but the greater relief centers arround knowing exactly wht Unit the GM was referring to. Believe me it wasn't a relief, it was a shock. RECEIPT AND TELLER! *dies* |
Uniquexty: Payne... Welcome bro. By next week, it will stabilize. @Winnie, anxiety no be small thing. @Charles, dats unfair. I thought we had a thing. NYSC Shopping on my mind. Should I go with a box or travelling bag? My easter gift was a 3 in 1 White T-shirts.yea..u're right! Thnks dear! |
Imanuelle: Dis pack na packing in faith.believe me It's a stipend which can be exhausted on beers in jes one night. Jes doing it to kill boredomness. I jes hope it worth it in d end even if d pay is no way commensurate to the work itself. |
FIRST DAY AT WORK: A CRASHING EXPERIENCE “This is the place” said d old-looking bike man as I stared at d beautifully structured edifice which has parts of its exterior wall adorned wit marbles and the whole structure painted with three beautiful colours with orange appearing more dominant than others. I nodded in agreement to d bike man's assertion while I tried to get myself off d bike. “Here is ur change” he said as I tried to recover frm my soliloquay having totally surrendered my attention to this beautiful structure appreciating its profound uniqueness among other banks structured arround it. "Thank you sir" I said to this old man as he handed me a #50note being d balance remaining frm d #200 I initially gave to him. I looked at my wrist watch and it ws exactly 7:38am. Feeling satisfied wit that, I took a deep sigh, stared at d building once again and eventually attempted to find my way into the bank's premises. At the entrance were two huge men wearing a black security uniform. There was also a man standing in a remote position to them bt dressed differently frm d first two men. He wore a white security uniform. Looking more like a boss to d other two. I greeted d first two guards and as I ws abt walking myself into d bank, one of d men challenged me and told me tht the bank hasn't opened for the day activities. I wore a brief smile as I replied. "Yea, I knw bt I am a staff". They gazed at each other with surprises obviously written on their face. " Can I see ur ID card"? One of dem questioned! Well, I do not have an ID card yet bt I have my placement letter which I immediately brought out of my brown envelope and showed to them. After a brief look on d paper, they both nodded in concordance, wearing a light smile and accompanied by this was a statement made by one of the men "You are welcome sir! You can go in" Now feeling much like a boss, I replied saying thank you! As I entered into d bank, I directed my movement towards a beautiful and attractive looking lady who was a bit fair in complexion. Hanged on her neck was a GTbank ID card encrusted wit d name AIGBE LYNDA. Goodmorning madam I greeted, Good morning sir and how may I help u? She replied. Erm, I'm Olalekan and wit me is a placement letter which requires tht I exercise my vacation job programme in dis branch. Oh oh oh, I see! She exclaimed intermittently fr some seconds tidying up some paper works on her table befr she instructed me to come wit her. Kim,Kom,Kim,Kom! Was d sound merely produced by her footwear as we climbed the stairs while I begin to wonder discreetly whr we were heading to. At a point I wanted to ask bt no one told me to conceal my question when I sighted at her serious, no-nonsense bt beautiful looking face. This tepid walk continued fr some minutes befr she eventually broke d silence herself. Meanwhile her protruded backside had bin completely engulfed by my eyes and mind. She wore a short bt a loose black pencil skirt which cannot help bt concede a reasonable portion of her hot laps. That wasn't even d deal if nt for either halves of her buttocks which was flapping voraciously in great conformity wit her body movement. "Poly or Uni"? she asked equivocably. Lost and confused! "Pardon" I said as I try to locate my bearing. "Did you finish frm polytechnic or University"? She repeated explicitly. "University" I replied as I took a brief gasp hoping on what her subsequent question wld be. She gazed at me keenly for some seconds, chuckles then asked "what skul and course"? Like s1 who was bin interviewed I replied rather seriously. " I finished frm OOU wit a BA(hons) in Philosophy". Hearing this, she suddenly gazed at me wit some bizzare facial expressions. PHILOSOPHY! she yelled emphatically! Yea, wht about it I retorted frankly! It's nothing serious, u knw, jes dat erm, erm, neva mind! She stuttered. I looked at her briefly and smiled as we approached an office which has an orange plaque attached to it's door and crested on it was GENERAL MANAGER. She walked herself ahead of me and approached the door wit a mild knock. Knock! Knock! Sounded the door. The knock was immediately greeted by a baritone voice frm inside d office which says; Yessss! You can come in. She politely opened the door and entered while she asked me to stay behind. In less than a minute, she returned and instructed me to enter the office while she left immediately. To her duty post I supposed! Updating......yawns loudly!! |

I'm sure she's jest hearing abt NL for d first time frm me cos she ws surprised y I ws so addicted to my fone since yesterday even while she was in d room wit me! She insisted seeing wht took my attention frm her and I agreed to make her visit dis particular thread being d only thread I'm actively involved with. Nw she's interested in opening a NL account as she sub-consciously mentioned charles_shaw as d major reason! Hearing this, I immediately forbade her frm visiting this thread and suspend her intention of opening an account which I ws willing to help her with!
